Sloppy Joes are the ultimate comfort food, offering a perfect blend of savory, tangy, and slightly sweet flavors all in one messy, satisfying bite. This classic American dish consists of seasoned ground beef (or turkey) simmered in a rich, tomato-based sauce, piled onto soft hamburger buns. The result is a hearty, flavorful meal that’s as delicious as it is fun to eat.
What makes Sloppy Joes so appealing is their perfect balance of textures and flavors. The meat mixture is both juicy and thick, with the sauce adding depth and complexity. The sweetness comes from ingredients like brown sugar or ketchup, while the tanginess is often balanced with mustard or vinegar. A bit of Worcestershire sauce adds umami, making each bite even more satisfying.
These sandwiches are incredibly easy to prepare, making them a go-to dish for busy weeknights, picnics, or casual gatherings. The ingredients come together quickly on the stovetop, and you can customize the flavor profile to suit your tastes. If you prefer a spicier version, feel free to add chili flakes, hot sauce, or even some diced jalapeños for an extra kick. Some recipes even call for bell peppers or onions, adding a touch of crunch and sweetness.
While ground beef is the traditional choice for Sloppy Joes, you can easily swap in ground turkey, chicken, or even plant-based meat for a lighter or vegetarian version. The versatility of this dish also allows for creative twists, such as adding shredded cheese, pickles, or a fried egg on top for an even more indulgent experience.
Sloppy Joes are perfect for serving at casual family dinners or gatherings. The combination of tender, flavorful meat and a soft bun is universally loved, and these sandwiches are easy to eat with your hands, making them ideal for both kids and adults. For a complete meal, serve them with sides like potato chips, fries, or a simple salad.
In the end, Sloppy Joes are all about enjoying hearty, comforting food that’s both easy to make and full of flavor. They’re a timeless favorite that never fails to bring smiles to the table.

It was ok, but I thought it was just guck. Not my taste. 1/10 would not make again.
I actually loved it! It’s not fancy, but sometimes comfort food can be messy and delicious. Taste buds are different for everyone, I guess! 😄
My family loves sloppy joes, but this one felt kinda… basic? Like not bad, just not the ‘wow’ we expect. Next time I’ll add garlic and maybe chili powder.
I don’t get why people like this. It was too sweet for my taste. 🤷♂️
I found it sweet too, but that’s what makes Sloppy Joes fun! You can cut down the sugar next time. 😊
Nah, this is the best! It’s a classic. Maybe you’re just not used to it? 🤔
This reminds me of my childhood! Loved making these with my mom!
These are so easy I almost don’t believe they taste this good. I used ground turkey and still liked it.
Honestly same—easy + ridiculously tasty. I’ve made it with turkey too and it worked out just fine. The ketchup/sugar combo really does the heavy lifting.
Did anyone say this looks like dog food? I’m sorry, but not trying this. Absolutely not.
Pretty solid, but I think 15-20 minutes wasn’t enough for me—next time I’ll simmer closer to 30 so it thickens more. Still tasty though!
I added some diced bell peppers for extra crunch, tasted awesome! 😊
Shouldn’t there be chili powder in Sloppy Joes? This seems wrong.
I followed it pretty closely, but mine came out a little too sweet from the brown sugar. Next time I’ll use less sugar or add more pepper.
Good recipe but too many steps, I just wanna eat. Why not just mix it all together and heat it!
Quick and easy! Just what I needed on a busy night. Will make again!
I used turkey instead of beef and they turned out great! Healthier option.
I didn’t have brown sugar, so I used honey and… it was still pretty good? Probably not traditional but it worked out. Would recommend for a quick fix.
Wait… honey? I think that’ll change the whole flavor. Brown sugar has that molasses taste. Still tho, if it’s a quick fix, I guess. But 15-20 min simmer might not be enough for honey to thicken—did yours get thick?
Honestly? Honey instead of brown sugar sounds like it’d caramelize a bit—might make it slightly sweeter and richer. Not “traditional,” but if it tasted good, that’s what counts. I might try that next time.
I love this recipe. Seriously, it rocks! Best I ever did! 😍
Super easy to make and my kids loved them! Definitely making again. 👍
I was a bit skeptical about the brown sugar, but it really makes a difference! Yummy!
2 tablespoons brown sugar?? That’s suspicious. Also 1 tsp mustard seems like too much for my taste. Might try half next time, but I’m not convinced.
Ground beef? But I thought Sloppy Joes were made with chicken!? 🤔
My onion didn’t really soften—maybe my skillet heat was wrong? I ended up cooking it longer and then it was fine. Sauce was still really good.
I don’t get the Worcestershire in this. It tastes like steak sauce and ketchup had a baby 😂 Still ate it all though.
😂 I totally get that—Worcestershire can be super funky like that depending on the brand. I usually use a little more mustard and less ketchup if I want it less “ketchup-y.” Glad you still demolished it though!
These Sloppy Joes were super easy to make! My kids devoured them. Will make again!
Pretty solid! I added a tiny splash of vinegar because I like it tangier, but the base recipe is great. Would make again for sure.
I added some chili powder and it was a game changer! 🔥🔥🔥
Pretty good, but I think it needed a splash more ketchup or a pinch more salt. Also my onions took longer than expected, so I kept them going until truly soft.
Made this for lunch and it turned out so comforting. The sauce is sweet-tangy in a good way, and the simmer definitely improves it.
Why does this take so long to cook? I just want to eat! Quick recipes are better.
This recipe is fantastic! So easy to make and my kids absolutely loved it. Will definitely make again. 👍
They were okay, but way too sweet for my taste!
Quick and simple! Perfect for my busy family. Thanks for sharing!
My mom used to make these but she never used ketchup… tried it and it was just ok. Sorry.
Good flavor, but I felt it needed a bit more pepper and maybe a splash of vinegar to brighten it up. Still way better than the packets.
I didn’t have Worcestershire sauce, so I used soy sauce. Still tasted yummy!
5 star! So easy to make and loved by the whole family. We had seconds!
Glad to hear it was a hit! Sloppy Joes are always a winner. Did you add any extra toppings?
I confused brown sugar with white sugar! 😂 It still tasted ok, but next time I’ll follow directions better.
I made this recipe but used turkey instead of beef. Still turned out tasty! 😊
I made it and it was good, but mine came out a little too sweet (maybe I measured the brown sugar wrong). Would reduce sugar to 1 tbsp next time.
Short and sweet. It’s good.
Totally agree! It’s such an easy recipe and delicious too!
It’s alright, but I think it needs more spices. Maybe some garlic or chili powder?
Can we talk about the Worcestershire sauce? That little tablespoon somehow makes everything taste “restaurant.” Love it.
I think they were too sweet. Who puts brown sugar in Sloppy Joes? Seems odd.
Not bad at all, but I think it needs more seasoning—like garlic powder or smoked paprika. Right now it’s a bit plain.
Totally agree—mine always tastes better with a little extra kick. Garlic powder and smoked paprika sound perfect here. I’d also maybe add a pinch of chili powder if you like it bolder.
Too much ketchup, maybe. I like tangy but this was like a ketchup explosion.
Sloppy joes? More like sloppy noes. Not a fan. Just didn’t taste good. 🙁
So simple to make. I just used ketchup and beef. Way better than store-bought.
I used turkey instead of beef and they turned out fine! Healthy Sloppy Joes.
That sounds like a great alternative! I might try that too next time. Thanks for sharing!
Disaster! Followed the recipe exactly and it was so bland. Never making this again.
Quick and simple! I made it with turkey instead of beef and it worked fine!
Can I use any kind of buns? I have some hotdog buns left.
Pretty good! I did 10 minutes simmering instead of 20 and it still tasted fine. Next time I might add a dash of garlic powder though.
Really good but we forgot the sugar… what a mistake! Will try again the right way!
Followed it pretty much exactly, except I added a splash of apple cider vinegar (don’t judge). Still tasted great and not too sweet.
I don’t know about vinegar with ketchup… but if it wasn’t too sweet then maybe it worked. Next time I’ll try just a tiny splash.
Apple cider vinegar?! Don’t judge at all—honestly that sounds like it would cut the sweetness from the brown sugar a bit. Glad you liked it!
I’m not a fan of ground beef, so I used turkey instead. Still turned out great!
Turkey? Really? I dunno if that would taste the same. Isn’t beef the whole point of sloppy joes?
Using turkey instead of beef sounds like a healthier option! I might give it a try too. Thanks for the tip!
Eh, it was just ok. Seems like something my kids would eat, but not really my taste.
I thought it was pretty good, actually! Sloppy Joes remind me of my childhood. Maybe you should try adding some cheese or pickles next time?
These came out like the classic diner sloppy joes—sweet, tangy, and not overly salty. The 15–20 minutes simmer was key. Definitely making again.
Totally agree—this has that diner vibe. The ketchup + brown sugar combo is magic, and the 15–20 simmer really makes it taste like it’s been cooking all day.
I don’t get why everyone loves this. Sloppy joes are just like, messy sandwiches? Not for me.
Quick and delicious! I used ground turkey instead and it turned out great! Thanks for sharing!
Ground turkey? That’s interesting! I never thought of that. Can you taste the difference?
Bland. I know it says salt and pepper, but I didn’t feel much flavor until I dumped in extra ketchup. Maybe my batch was off?
Ugh, I get that. I love Sloppy Joes but they can taste flat if the onions don’t really soften or if the simmer is too short. I’d try cooking the onion longer and simmering the sauce closer to 20 minutes before adding anything else.
My friend said they used turkey instead of beef and it tasted just as good.
Sloppy Joes is a classic! This recipe brought back memories of my mom making them for us. Yum!
Solid, classic. I’d serve this with fries every day if I could. Great for weeknights.
Yes!! Fries are the move. I made this last week and it hit perfectly—classic sloppy joe, no fuss.
I tried this recipe but it came out too sweet for my taste. What did I do wrong?
Soo good! but my buns got soggy after 5 mins. What do I do about that?
I dunno… these just didn’t hit the spot for me. Ketchup is just too much. 🤷♂️
These are the best sloppy joes I’ve ever made! So easy and delish! 5 stars!!
This recipe is a game changer! My kids loved them. I added some pickles too. Yum!
Glad to hear your kids loved them! Pickles sound like a fun twist. Gonna try that next time!
I dunno, seems like a lot of ketchup. What about using BBQ sauce instead? Might be better.
Easy and quick! Perfect for a weeknight dinner. Thx for the recipe!
Not sure about the brown sugar, seems weird. Mine tasted too sweet, but my kids liked it.
Not a fan—way too sweet for me. I cut the brown sugar in half and even then it was still sugary.
I followed it pretty closely but added a splash of pickle juice (just because). Came out super flavorful and not too sweet. Great weeknight meal.
Yummy, but I accidentally used too much ketchup. Oops! Still good tho.
Sloppy Joes are sort of basic but I like them. This recipe is simple and fills me up.
Super easy weeknight meal. I simmered closer to 25 minutes and it thickened nicely. Served with fries and it was perfect.
Can I use turkey instead of beef? I don’t like red meat.
Absolutely! Turkey is a great substitute for beef. It’ll taste delicious too!
I messed up the ratio and added too much ketchup. Was not good.
Not sure about the ketchup + sugar combo… kind of sticky. I prefer tomatoes instead.
Made this tonight—so easy and honestly the sauce tastes spot on. The 15-20 minutes simmer makes a difference. Will be repeating for sure.
Not really a fan. I prefer my Sloppy Joes without sugar.
Pretty good, but I thought it was too sweet. Maybe less sugar next time?
Nah, I thought it was just right! Sweet makes it better!
I agree! It was a bit sweet for my taste too. Maybe adding less ketchup would help?
I’m skeptical of how good ketchup + sugar can be, but wow. My picky kid actually asked for seconds.
Nice and easy recipe but a bit bland for my taste. Needs more spice!
Not bad at all. I added a splash of vinegar because I like it tangier, and it worked great. 15–20 min simmer is perfect.
Nice! I’m always looking for a tangier sloppy joe—good call on the vinegar. I might try a splash next time and see how it compares. Thanks for the timing tip too!
Sloppy Joe time! Yum! 🍔
Sloppy Joes? More like sloppy noes! Didn’t enjoy at all.
I actually loved them! You must have done something wrong. They’re so good with extra cheese!
Sloppy Joes? More like sloppy noes. Not impressed.
I actually love Sloppy Joes! They remind me of my childhood. Maybe you just had a bad experience? Give them another shot!
Sloppy Joes ain’t gourmet, it’s comfort food! But if you don’t like it, that’s ok too. Everyone has their taste.
Eh, it was alright. I think I may have overcooked the beef. Gonna stick to my mom’s recipe.
I followed it exactly and my sloppy joe was a little too sweet. I might cut the brown sugar in half next time.
That makes sense—brown sugar can push it pretty sweet fast. Cutting it in half is a great next step, and if it’s still sweet you could also add a splash more Worcestershire or a little extra mustard to balance it.
Sloppy Joes! Yum.
So easy to make, and my husband loved it! What’s not to like?
I used turkey instead of beef n it turned out great! Just sayin, anyone can tweak it.
My onion stayed crunchy… maybe my skillet wasn’t hot enough? Will try sautéing longer next time. Otherwise decent.
These Sloppy Joes are the best! My kids loved them, and they were super easy to make.
Didn’t like it. Ground beef too greasy and I don’t like onions.
Yum!!! I added some cheese on top and it was next level. So good!
Cheese? That’s genius! I’ll definitely try that next time. Thanks for the tip!
Doesn’t this have too much sugar tho? Like, a whole cup of ketchup? My dentist would hate me!
This tastes like the sloppy joe mix I grew up with, honestly. Comfort food for sure. I used regular ketchup because that’s all I had and it still worked.
Not a fan of ketchup. Can I use BBQ sauce instead? 🤔
Is this a joke? Sloppy joes are not supposed to have sugar! Ruined my childhood! 1 star.
This was so easy and quick! I made it after work and my family loved it. Thanks for sharing!
I dunno, looks simple but not healthy with all that ketchup. What if I used veggies instead?
I’m so glad you and your family enjoyed it! Sloppy Joes are a classic for a reason.
I thought sloppy joes were supposed to be messy?? 🤔 these were too neat!
I guess they can be neat if you try! But I love a good messy sloppy joe. Just adds to the fun!
Are you sure you made them right? Sloppy Joes are always messy, that’s the whole point!
I don’t see why so many people love these. The mixed flavors were just too weird for me.
Really?? Brown sugar in sloppy joes? I always used honey. Not sure about this..
Tasty recipe but needed more spices. Next time, I’ll add some garlic powder.
I don’t get why people like Sloppy Joes. They just taste messy and… sloppy.
I think you forgot to mention adding cheese… Sloppy Joes need cheese! 🍔🧀
Simplicity at its best. Made it in under 30 minutes. Will definitely make again! 5 stars.
SLOPPY JOES!!! My kids can’t get enough of these. Easy and quick for a weeknight dinner.
This recipe sounds so easy! Can’t wait to try it for my kids too. Thanks for sharing!
I followed it pretty closely, but I added a tiny splash of vinegar at the end. That little tweak made it pop. Next time I’ll probably double the onions.
Turned out super tasty and way less complicated than I expected. The simmer really helps the sauce come together—my kids went back for seconds.
Yes! The simmer is the secret—makes it taste way more “real” than instant sloppy joe stuff. My fam was also doing seconds 😄
Why would you put sugar in sloppy joes? That’s just wrong! I am not trying this. 😒
I think the sugar balances out the acidity of the ketchup. It’s a classic combo! Give it a chance!
Sugar? Seriously? That’s just messed up. Sloppy joes shouldn’t be sweet!
Sloppy Joes? More like sloppy no. I’m sorry but can’t eat this!
Huh? This was too sweet. Is brown sugar really needed? Gimme regular beef…
I used ground turkey instead of beef and it came out kinda dry. Still edible though, just needed more sauce.
Yum! I added a pinch of garlic powder and it was amazing! Will make again.
I accidentally used yellow mustard (still mustard though) and it was kinda weird at first, but after simmering it mellowed out. Tasted okay in the end.
The Worcestershire sauce is the key. I didn’t have mustard so I used a bit of yellow mustard powder—still decent, but fresh mustard probably tastes better.
Idk… mustard powder seems kinda weak though. I’d rather just skip it than use powder. Still, sloppy joes forgive a lot, I guess.
Totally agree—Worcestershire sauce makes it taste “real.” I always add a little extra if I’m feeling brave. 😄
Sloppy Joes are too gross! Why is there so much ketchup?
I love Sloppy Joes! The ketchup gives it that sweet and tangy kick. Everyone has different tastes, I guess!
But like, the ketchup is what makes it sloppy, right? You can always use less ketchup if you want?
I don’t get the brown sugar part. It seems weird to me, why add sugar to meat?
I guess it’s okay, but my mom’s recipe is way better. Plus, she uses chicken. Just sayin’.
Lol I burnt mine! But tasted good after I scraped the burnt bits off. 😂
Meat and bread?? Disgusting. Who even eats this kind of food?!
Sloppy Joes are classic comfort food! Lots of people love them, you just gotta give it a try!
Honestly, your taste is just different. Many people enjoy meat and bread together, it’s pretty normal!
This recipe is missing any mention of draining the fat. My beef was juicy and the sauce got greasy fast. Not blaming the recipe entirely, just wish it said to drain.
Yeah, I agree—if the beef isn’t very lean, it can turn greasy really fast. The instructions definitely should at least say to drain/skim if there’s excess fat after browning.
I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out bland. 1/2 teaspoon salt seems low, and the brown sugar made it sweet without adding much depth. Would not make again.
These are the best Sloppy Joes I’ve ever made! Sooo delicious! 🙌
They look good, but I feel like they’re too sweet with all the ketchup and brown sugar. 🤔
I totally agree! I made these last week and my kids couldn’t get enough! 🥳
These Sloppy Joes are super easy and delicious! My kids loved them!
I was skeptical about the brown sugar + ketchup combo, but wow it works. I added a splash more Worcestershire and it tasted even richer.
Sloppy Joes are like a childhood food. Brings back memories. ☺️
Honestly, this was kinda bland. I added some chili powder and it helped a bit.
Sloppy joes are a mess, literally. But delicious. Who cares if it’s messy?? 4/5!
I’m skeptical. Sloppy Joes always turn into a soggy bun situation for me. That said, the sauce was thick enough that it didn’t fully drown everything.
Isn’t Sloppy Joes just a mess on bun? I prefer my food neat. lol
Sloppy Joes are the best! I added some pickles and it was even better! Yum!
I totally agree! Pickles really bring it to another level. Can’t wait to try this recipe with them! 😋
Just okay. I think my mom’s recipe is better. Who needs brown sugar in these?
Brown sugar adds sweetness to balance the flavors! Your mom’s recipe must be really special, but give this a try, it might surprise you!
These Sloppy Joes are amazing! My kids loved them!
Not sure about the amount of brown sugar. It came out sweeter than I expected, but my kids loved it, so… maybe I’ll cut it in half for adults.
My kids asked for seconds. I didn’t change a thing—just used lean beef and chopped onion a bit smaller. Easy weeknight win.
Seconds already?? That’s impressive 😅 I usually mess up the simmer time and it gets too watery. Do you think 15–20 min is enough with lean beef or should I go longer?
Love this! Lean beef + smaller onion is basically the perfect “family-approved” adjustment. Definitely trying this tonight—glad it’s an easy win.
Not sure about the Worcestershire + mustard combo. Tastes a little “off” to me, like it’s trying to be something else besides classic sloppy joes. I might cut the mustard in half next time.
Nah, that combo is what makes it “grown up” sloppy joe 😄 The Worcestershire brings depth and the mustard just balances. If it tastes off to you, maybe your mustard is stronger (or expired). Try 1/2 tsp instead of 1 tsp.
Totally get what you mean. Worcestershire + mustard can go a little tangy/odd if the amounts are heavy. Cutting the mustard in half sounds like a perfect tweak—next time I’d also taste as you simmer.
I made these for the game night, they went soooo fast! Delicious!
Yum!! Best Sloppy Joes ever! I added a little extra mustard!
I love that! Mustard does add a nice kick. What’s your secret ingredient?
I don’t get it, what’s the big deal? Sloppy Joes are just messy burgers.
Wow, I put mine on toast instead of buns. Game changer!
Um, are we sure this is healthy? It’s like a heart attack on a bun! 😬
This is the best Sloppy Joe recipe I’ve tried! My kids loved it!
Am I supposed to add water? Mine came out dry-ish even after simmering. Maybe my heat was too high? Anyway, edible.
I don’t add water for this one—15-20 min on low usually keeps it saucy. If yours went dry-ish, your heat was probably too high or the ketchup you used was thicker. Next time simmer closer to 15 mins and stir more often; you can loosen it with a splash of water/broth if needed.
I dunno, seems too basic. Can’t you add some spice or something?
Sloppy joes! 🔥 quick and tastes like childhood. My kids ate it without complaining.
Sloppy Joes? Ugh. The name is gross. But they tasted alright, I guess.
I get what you’re saying. The name is kinda off-putting, but sometimes it’s the taste that counts. Glad you liked them somewhat!
This was a hit at my family dinner! So easy and delicious. Everyone loved it! 😍
Easy peasy! A hit with my friends on movie night. Plus, super filling!
Sloppy Jo’s great! My grandma made it different though. Her meats were more seasoned.
But is it really Sloppy Joes if it’s not like this?? Sounds weird!
I hear ya! My mom always added extra garlic. Makes such a difference!
Tasted a little sweet for my family. Next time I’ll cut the brown sugar in half or maybe use less ketchup too.
These are the best sloppy joes ever! So much flavor! Will make again!
I tried it but mine came out kinda sweet. I think my brown sugar was heaped—so yeah, careful with that measure. Onion was perfect though.
Oh that totally makes sense—heaped brown sugar can make it noticeably sweet. I usually level it off and it comes out balanced. Glad the onion worked out though!
I accidentally simmered it for like 45 minutes because I forgot, and it got super thick—kinda like a spread. My family loved it anyway.
Wow, this recipe is a hit! My kids devoured it in minutes. Definitely making it again!
This recipe is fire! The kids loved it. Will make again.
Ground beef was good, but 15–20 min simmer is too short for me. I simmered longer and the flavors blended way better.
I followed it exactly and it came out kinda watery. Maybe my ketchup was runny? Still edible, but I had to simmer longer.
My husband said these taste just like school lunch! Brings back memories!
Eh. Worcestershire sauce feels like overkill. I omitted it and it tasted flat to me—won’t do that again.
Honestly, sloppy joes should have a little more “slop” lol. Mine was thicker than expected, and I had to add a splash of water to loosen it. Not bad, just not what I wanted.
These Sloppy Joes are spot on. The Worcestershire + ketchup combo is exactly the vibe I was craving. Simmering 20 minutes makes it taste richer—will make again!
Not gonna lie, this tasted like store-bought ketchup with vibes. I wanted more depth—maybe add garlic or a pinch of smoked paprika?
Totally get what you mean—this version is pretty ketchup-forward. Adding garlic and a pinch of smoked paprika would definitely give it more depth (and honestly, I might steal that idea next time 😅).
Good and easy, but I found it a little bland with only 1/2 tsp salt. Next time I’ll go heavier on salt and pepper.
I agree—mine was a bit mild too. I ended up bumping salt closer to 3/4 tsp and it totally woke it up. Pepper helps a lot!
Maybe your ketchup was sweeter? I noticed if I use regular ketchup (not low sugar) I need less brown sugar. Still, try seasoning gradually—don’t overdo it.
Not bad, but I’m skeptical of only ketchup + sugar. Feels a little basic. I’d rather add garlic and maybe some celery, you know?
Bun soaked real fast, but flavor was good 😅 Next time I’ll do toasted buns for sure. Weirdly good for such few ingredients.
Totally agree—those buns can get soggy fast. Toasting them is such a game changer. 😄 Glad the flavor still came out good with minimal ingredients!
Hate to be that person—sloppy joes should be more ‘spicy’ and less sweet. Maybe cut the brown sugar in half?
This recipe is a classic! I used my grandma’s secret mustard and they were even better. Yum!
These are the best Sloppy Joes ever! My whole family loved them. Will definitely make again!
I tried this recipe too and it was amazing! So easy to make and the taste is just perfect. 🥳
Could use a bit more seasoning for my taste. I doubled the pepper and it helped. Otherwise, good base recipe though.
Totally agree—this is a solid base but feels a little mild at first. Doubling the pepper makes sense. Next time I’ll try adding a pinch of smoked paprika too.
Made this tonight and it’s the perfect easy comfort food. The Worcestershire + mustard combo is doing all the work—in a good way.
Yes!! That Worcestershire + mustard combo is elite. I made mine exactly like this and it tasted way better than I expected for how easy it is.
Haven’t tried it yet, but I’m skeptical that 1 tsp mustard won’t be overpowering? Like… is it more tangy or sweet?
Not gonna lie, I didn’t measure the spices right and it ended up kinda bland. Also my onions stayed crunchy because I rushed step 2. Recipe’s fine though!
