Not bad, but cutting triangles out of crescent dough felt weird. Mine kind of tore when I rolled them. Probably user error, but I’ll try puff pastry next time.

  2. 2 stars
I don’t know, they were kinda dry. Maybe need more seasoning?

    1. User avatar gilbert.huel says:

      4 stars
I agree! They can be a bit bland without enough seasoning. Try adding some garlic powder or paprika next time!

  3. 4 stars
Mine browned fast at 12 minutes, so watch them closely. The taste was great though—crispy outside, juicy inside. Wouldn’t change much.

    1. User avatar alisia.grady45 says:

      5 stars
Thanks for the heads-up! I’ve had mine go from pale to burnt in like 10 minutes before. 12 sounds about right—now I’ll start checking early.

    2. User avatar Draugr Death Overlord says:

      3 stars
Hmm mine didn’t brown at 12… I think my oven runs cold. I just baked longer till it looked golden. Tasted good but the pastry got kinda dry, maybe I overdid it.

  4. User avatar guadalupe.stanton says:

    5 stars
So easy to make, but my kids devoured them in seconds! I’ll definitely be making these again.

  5. User avatar guadalupe.keeling66 says:

These are a hit at every party! So easy to make and everyone loves them.

  6. 5 stars
So simple. So good. “Pigs in a blanket” never fails.

  7. User avatar gerda.collier says:

    4 stars
I tried using only puff pastry sheets and cut triangles—kinda messy but fun. Not super hard. Also parchment paper saved cleanup, 10/10 for that.

  8. User avatar Shanda Lear says:

    5 stars
Yummy! I made these for a party and everyone went bananas! 🍴

  9. User avatar oPandariaNo says:

    5 stars
So easy and they came out perfectly golden. The egg wash really makes a difference—crispy tops for days.

  10. User avatar akiko.hills says:

    3 stars
Could’ve used more detailed instructions—like do we bake on the middle rack? I guessed and it browned unevenly. Tasty though.

  11. User avatar Melanie Glover I says:

    4 stars
375°F seems fine but I swear my oven runs hotter. I ended up baking closer to 10-11 minutes and it saved them from getting too dark.

  12. User avatar maricruz.abernathy says:

    4 stars
I dunno, I think the puff pastry takes too long. I prefer the store-bought stuff, lol.

    1. User avatar salvatore.leffler1986 says:

      4 stars
I get that! Store-bought is super convenient. But there’s just something about homemade that hits different. 🙃

  13. User avatar pauline.nader61 says:

I thought pigs in a blanket were made with real pigs. Not sure how I feel about this. 🤔

  14. User avatar boris.gulgowski50 says:

    5 stars
Super tasty! Couldn’t stop eating them. 😍

  15. User avatar conception.wilderman49 says:

    4 stars
I followed the steps but mine browned too fast at 12 minutes. Maybe my oven runs hot—still delicious though.

  16. User avatar Barry Manilow says:

    5 stars
My kids loved these. I paired them with mustard and ketchup and they ate like they were starving (they were not).

  17. 5 stars
Delicious! Easy peasy, I made them for my kids and they loved it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  18. User avatar nathanael.murphy says:

    3 stars
Are the sausages really necessary?? Can’t I just put cheese inside?

  19. User avatar andra.dicki58 says:

    3 stars
I made these using hotdogs from a can, not sure if that’s right but they were still ok??

    1. 4 stars
Hotdogs from a can? That’s different! But I’m glad they turned out okay for you!

  20. User avatar clint.hickle1955 says:

    5 stars
These are dangerously snackable. I made a batch and they were gone before the main meal… oops.

    1. User avatar glory.runolfsson1995 says:

      4 stars
Dangerously snackable is right… I overbaked mine once and they got kinda crispy (like, too crispy), but still tasted good. Next time I’m cutting the triangles smaller so they don’t need as long.

    2. User avatar lynetta.pollich31 says:

      5 stars
Haha same here—these are basically an edible “mic drop.” I swear they disappear faster than I can set the table.

  21. 4 stars
Yummy! But can I make em with cheese? That would be awesome!

    1. User avatar reuben.rohan says:

      5 stars
Yes! You can totally add cheese! Just put a piece inside the triangle with the sausage before rolling it up. It’s gonna be so cheesy and delicious!

    2. User avatar Paul "Muad'Dib" "Usul" Atreides says:

      2 stars
Cheese in pigs in a blanket? That sounds weird. I dunno, might ruin the whole thing…

  22. User avatar Draugr Scourge says:

    4 stars
Puff pastry is overrated! Use crescent rolls instead, way better!

    1. User avatar Tom Bombadil says:

      4 stars
I think puff pastry has its own unique flakiness that makes it special! But I guess if you like crescent rolls, go for it.

    2. 3 stars
Crescent rolls? Really? Just doesn’t taste the same, but to each their own. 🤷‍♂️

  23. User avatar Feyd-Rautha Rabban says:

    2 stars
I used hot dogs, but it turn out soggy, idk what went wrong…😩

  24. User avatar rich.landlord says:

  26. 5 stars
So good!!! 😋 My kids devoured them in minutes. They’re so cute too. Thanks for sharing!

  27. User avatar Williams Waelchi says:

    2 stars
Why are these called pigs in a blanket if they’re hot dogs? Confusing.

  28. User avatar euna.mclaughlin2001 says:

    2 stars
Too much effort for a snack. I think I’ll stick to buying them frozen next time.

  29. 5 stars
These were a hit at the party! So easy to make and they disappeared fast.

    1. User avatar wellRespected says:

These sound delicious! I need to try them for my next gathering.

  30. User avatar cathey.bashirian69 says:

    2 stars
I tried this but used bacon instead of mini sausages. Wasn’t what I expected. 😕

  31. User avatar Maurice Minor says:

    4 stars
I used chicken sausages instead of mini hot dogs, and they turned out great! Will definitely do again.

  32. User avatar xochitl.pagac2 says:

    3 stars
Disappointed. Didn’t taste like I thought they would. Need more flavor!

  33. User avatar mark.volkman69 says:

    4 stars
Easy and kid-approved. I used crescent rolls and they were a little softer than puff pastry, but still delicious. Next time I’ll cut the triangles a bit more evenly so the rolls match.

  34. User avatar Francie Stoltenberg says:

    2 stars
Not my thing. Too much pastry for my taste.

  35. User avatar Restless Draugr says:

    4 stars
Simple and quick to prepare. Think I might add cheese next time for some extra flavor!

    1. User avatar laine.sipes41 says:

  36. User avatar jeremy.renner2019 says:

    3 stars
I found them kinda bland. Maybe add some spices?

    1. 2 stars
Nah, they’re fine as they are. You gotta appreciate the simplicity!

    2. User avatar louanne.cartwright8 says:

      4 stars
I totally agree! A little paprika or garlic powder could really amp it up!

  37. 4 stars
I’m no cook, but these were easy enough. Thanks for sharing!

    1. User avatar april.crona32 says:

      3 stars
I dunno, they kinda look too simple. Are they really that good? 🤔

    2. 5 stars
Glad to hear you found it easy! Perfect for beginners. 🥳

  38. User avatar sachiko.haag says:

    3 stars
Can you use biscuit dough instead? I don’t have puff pastry.

  39. 2 stars
I dunno, the puff pastry just didn’t work well for me. They came out soggy. 🙁

  40. User avatar Colin the Security Robot says:

    5 stars
These are so good! I added cheese inside too, delish!

  41. User avatar oPandariaNo says:

    1. 5 stars
I totally agree! These are a hit every time! 🎉

    2. 2 stars
They seem simple, but I never get it right. My pastry always burns! 😩

  42. User avatar jefferson.pfannerstill says:

    5 stars
Delicious! I added some spices and it made them even better!

  43. User avatar preston.ferry says:

    3 stars
Lol, I thought I was making blankets for pigs, not food. 😂

    1. User avatar margurite.skiles55 says:

      5 stars
Haha, I love that! But trust me, they are way tastier than any blanket for pigs! 😂

  44. User avatar mireille.hauck2010 says:

    4 stars
I followed it pretty close, but mine were a little too browned after 15 minutes. Next time I’ll start checking at 10-12. Still tasty though.

    1. User avatar bobette.adams says:

      5 stars
That browned-up quick is so real—puff pastry can go from “golden” to “too much” fast. Next time starting at 10–12 minutes makes sense. I also rotate the pan halfway through when I remember. Glad they were still tasty though!

  45. 3 stars
Why do people love these so much? I don’t get it. They weren’t that great to me.

  46. User avatar emeline.considine says:

    4 stars
I tried it with hot dogs instead of mini sausages and it still worked. Crisp outside, juicy inside. My family asked for them again tomorrow lol.

  47. 5 stars
Super quick snack! My kids devoured them in minutes! 👍

  48. User avatar Eddie the Computer says:

    3 stars
I tried this recipe, but the pastry was soggy. Maybe I did something wrong?

  49. User avatar loraine.johnston says:

    1 star
You’re kidding me right? Its just sausages in dough. Weird recipe.

  50. 2 stars
375°F is okay but I think 400 would be better for extra browning. Mine barely colored after 15 mins and I’m not patient.

    1. User avatar colby.schultz79 says:

      4 stars
I get the browning issue—puff pastry can be stubborn. I’d try 400°F for 1–3 minutes extra, but watch closely so it doesn’t over-brown before the inside heats through.

    2. User avatar sybil.connelly says:

      5 stars
Mine didn’t color much at 375 either. I was like “where’s the gold?!” 😅 I turned it up to 400 and kept an eye on it—came out way better. 12-15 mins is kinda tight though.

  51. User avatar josphine.reynolds91 says:

    4 stars
I used cheese instead of sausages, turned out great! Who knew?

  52. 5 stars
pigs in a blanket, yum! Easy to make! 👍

      5 stars
I totally agree! These are a hit at every party. So simple and delicious!

  53. User avatar Snow Bear says:

    1 star
I tried this recipe, and it was a disaster! The pastry didn’t cook right and the sausages were left cold. Never again.

  54. 5 stars
These turned out sooo golden and flaky. The egg wash really makes a difference—mine looked like a bakery snack. I’ll definitely make these for game night again!

    1. User avatar Gaius Helen Mohiam says:

      3 stars
I tried this and they were good, but mine kinda blew up and the pastry separated? I used crescent rolls tho not puff pastry. Still tasty, just not as pretty like yours 😅

    2. User avatar monroe.doyle17 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—egg wash is the magic touch. Mine don’t usually look “bakery” but after brushing, they got that perfect shine and crunch. Great for game night snacks!

  55. User avatar Super Saiyan Goku says:

    4 stars
Just made these and they were pretty good! I didn’t have any egg for wash so I used milk instead. Still tasty! 🙂

    1. User avatar toby.kertzmann says:

      5 stars
Sounds awesome! Using milk is a great idea. I might try that next time I run out of eggs.

    2. User avatar delta.kreiger18 says:

      3 stars
I dunno, I think the egg wash is important for taste. Milk might not cut it. 🤔

  56. User avatar Arthur Dent says:

    4 stars
I was skeptical at first, but these are amazing! I added cheese and they were a hit!

    2. 3 stars
They were good and all, but I found them a bit greasy. Maybe it’s just me?

  58. User avatar Tyree Hane says:

    5 stars
These came out super golden and flaky! I used puff pastry and the egg wash really made them look bakery-level. Will definitely make again for game night.

  59. User avatar diego.bednar15 says:

    5 stars
Who knew this was so simple? I just rolled them like a burrito and baked! YUM!

    1. User avatar edmund.wehner20 says:

      5 stars
I never thought it could be that easy! I’ll definitely try it this weekend. Thanks for sharing!

    2. User avatar rocky.bartell42 says:

      3 stars
I dunno, rolling them like that sounds a bit strange. Aren’t they supposed to be wrapped properly? 🤔

  60. User avatar arnold.goyette says:

    5 stars
Yummy!!! My kids gobbled them up! Will make again for sure.

  61. User avatar oPandariaNo says:

    2 stars
Too salty for my taste. Shoulda used less sausage or something.

  62. User avatar cleo.anderson70 says:

    3 stars
I forgot to brush the egg on top, still tasted good tho. Next time I’ll follow exactly.

    1. 4 stars
No egg wash? Still sounds yummy! I usually skip it when I’m feeling lazy.

    2. User avatar basementDweller says:

      3 stars
Egg wash is important, tho! Makes it shiny. But glad you enjoyed it anyway!

  63. User avatar joe_banana says:

    3 stars
Can you use regular sausage? I don’t like those tiny ones, they’re weird. Just a thought!

  64. User avatar sylvia.schmeler says:

Pigs in a blanket? More like pigs in a FROWN! Not wowed by the flavor. 🙁

  68. User avatar shawnda.abernathy says:

Why do you need egg wash? It’s fine without it. Seems like a waste of time.

  69. User avatar michale.kohler1984 says:

    2 stars
My puff pastry didn’t thaw all the way and it tore a bit, so mine looked messy. Flavor was still good though—salty little bites!

    1. User avatar Ophelia Payne says:

      4 stars
Ugh, same thing happened to me once—when it’s still a bit frozen it gets super stubborn and tears. I’ve started letting it sit just a little longer (like 20-30 min) and it rolls way cleaner. Glad the flavor still hit though!

    2. 4 stars
Mine tore a bit too the first time 😅 I just slapped it together anyway and it still tasted good. But next time I think you gotta thaw it more than “just enough” or it’ll look like a crime scene. Salty bites for the win!

375°F is my kind of cooking—simple. I baked until “golden brown” and that saved me because timing varies.

    1. User avatar melonie.watsica1963 says:

      3 stars
I think 12-15 is kinda short? Mine always needs like 18 min or they’re still pale. Also I don’t thaw the pastry, I just bake longer… is that bad lol

    2. 5 stars
375°F and “golden brown” is the way to go—love that you emphasized timing varies. I usually start checking around 10-11 min too.

  82. User avatar tory.bailey27 says:

    3 stars
Not gonna lie, I didn’t thaw the pastry fully and it was kinda tough in the middle. If you do it right, it’s good, just be patient.

Wow, so easy to whip up! 😍 I used bacon bits instead of sausages and it was YUM!

    1. User avatar marlen.beier says:

      4 stars
Bacon bits? That’s an interesting twist! I never would have thought of that. Do you think it changes the cooking time?

  85. User avatar Betty Mitchell says:

    5 stars
Yum! Used turkey sausages, still delicious! Gonna make again.

  86. 2 stars
Meh. 12-15 mins is too short, I think. Still ate them tho.

    1. User avatar remedios.crona1988 says:

      4 stars
Totally fair—12–15 mins can be a little tight depending on your oven and how thick your pastry is. I usually check for that deep golden brown (and if it’s still pale, I add another 2–3 mins). Glad you still ate them though 😄

  87. User avatar Mr. Nona Wilderman says:

    5 stars
These came out perfectly golden and flaky. I used thawed puff pastry and they were gone in minutes—great for a quick snack!

Pigs in a blanket?? More like pigs in a pastry disaster! Not a fan.

Really? People loved them? I guess I’ll have to try, but I dunno if they’re all that great. 🙄

That’s awesome! I always thought these were so simple but they make such a big impression. 😄

I tried but my pastry turned out soggy. Followed the instructions exactly. What did I do wrong?

I’m confused by the ‘cut into triangles’ part—my crescent rolls don’t really roll into triangles. I just separated them and it worked, but the instructions are kinda vague.

I made these for my kids and they devoured them! Win-win!

That’s awesome! I love when things are a hit with the kids. How many batches did you make?

I wasn’t sure if puff pastry was the right choice, but they turned out great! Delicious!

375°F seems a little low? Mine took closer to 20 minutes to brown. Also, I forgot to thaw the pastry fully and it was kind of tough in the middle—lesson learned.

These are super easy and the kids love them! Perfect for parties.

I made these for my son’s birthday party and they were a hit! Everyone loved them.

So easy to make! I used cheese dogs instead of sausages. Yummy!

My kids called them ‘sausage clouds’ which is… accurate? The pastry was light and delicious. I served with mustard and everyone went back for seconds.

Easy and kid-approved. I used crescent rolls instead and they were still great—just make sure not to overfill the triangles.

Totally agree—these are super easy and disappear fast with the kids. I did the same thing with crescent rolls and they browns up perfectly. Just like you said: don’t overstuff or they pop open.

Not bad, but 12-15 min felt a little short for my oven—next time I’ll check earlier at 10 and then add time if needed. Also I used puff pastry and mine weren’t as “golden” as the pics… still tasty though.

375°F seems low? I did 400°F and mine cooked faster, so maybe the timing is off depending on your oven. Would be nice if it said what “golden brown” looks like.

I dunno, seems too simple. Is it really worth making? I feel like they might just taste like bread.

I thought the same at first! But trust me, these are super tasty. The crispy pastry makes a big difference! Give it a shot!

1 tbsp egg wash?? I probably used like… 1 egg worth. They were still tasty. Not mad.

I’m skeptical about egg wash. I tried it anyway and honestly it’s fine—just feels a little extra. Still good though.

Just okay. Maybe I’m not a puff pastry fan? Have you tried with biscuit dough?
