Nah, didn’t like it. Tomato and garlic just don’t mix well. Not a fan.

  2. User avatar Loonquawl says:

    3 stars
Decent. But pasta water is essential, I think, for better sauce. Gonna try that next time.

  3. User avatar Mike Stapleton says:

    Dying to try

  4. 1 star
I’m not a fan of tomatoes, so this wasn’t for me. Just my opinion!

    1. 4 stars
That’s fair! Everyone has different tastes. Maybe try it with a different sauce next time?

  5. 2 stars
Too much garlic for my taste. I couldn’t finish it. Yuck.

  6. 4 stars
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about only 4 cups tomatoes for 8 oz pasta. But it came together surprisingly well—nice and garlicky.

  7. 2 stars
Not sure about this… Is it supposed to be this soupy?

  8. 5 stars
Looks great on paper. Gonna try next time, but I might add spinach at the end because I always add spinach to everything lol.

  9. User avatar Jessica Atreides says:

    4 stars
Soo easy! Took me less than 30 minutes. I added some olives because I like them. Yummy!

This pasta is AMAZING! So easy to make. My whole family loved it!

  11. User avatar mimi.monahan says:

This is a pretty basic recipe, nothing special. But my kids liked it, so that’s something.

  12. User avatar elli.dicki91 says:

Yum!!! Basil makes everything better! 😍

    1. 5 stars
Absolutely! Basil is like magic for pasta! 🌿✨

    2. 3 stars
I dunno, garlic and tomatoes are fine, but basil is kinda overrated, right?

  13. User avatar missy.jast1988 says:

    2 stars
Kind of bland for me, and the garlic tasted a little sharp. Maybe I undercooked it or my garlic was older?

    1. User avatar Nocturne says:

      5 stars
That garlic sharpness can happen if it’s cooked too hot or just not mellowed enough. Next time, try lowering the heat and cooking the garlic closer to the 1-minute side—also letting the tomatoes simmer a bit longer helps round out the flavor. For the “bland” part, a little extra salt (and maybe a pinch more red pepper flakes) usually does it for me.

  14. User avatar celina.schinner2006 says:

    3 stars
This recipe is good, but the instructions are kinda vague—like how much “salt and black pepper” is enough. I ended up oversalting a bit. Oops.

  15. User avatar MAGA2024.Trumpster says:

    2 stars
Too much garlic for my taste, and I love garlic! I would reduce the amount next time.

    1. User avatar Annette Curtain says:

      4 stars
I actually love the garlic! It adds a real kick to the dish. But I get it, everyone has different taste buds. Just adapt it for your next try!

    2. User avatar Kecia Schaefer DDS says:

      2 stars
Reducing garlic? Nah, that’s where the flavor is! Don’t be scared of it, just embrace the awesome taste!

  16. User avatar lashawn.hodkiewicz says:

    5 stars
Absolutely loved this recipe! So easy and tasty. My family devoured it!

  17. User avatar Mikki Tillman says:

    1 star
Nah, not for me. Who even puts tomatoes in pasta? Weird.

  18. 5 stars
This recipe was so easy to follow! The flavors are amazing. 5 stars!

  19. 3 stars
Why do you need 8 ounces of spaghetti? Seems too specific. I just grabbed a handful!

  20. User avatar meagan.lindgren1970 says:

    3 stars
I’m not sure where I went wrong, but mine turned out kinda bland. Maybe I didn’t add enough salt?

  21. User avatar jermaine.schoen74 says:

    2 stars
I dont think this is authentic Italian pasta. Where’s the meat?

  22. User avatar Grìma Wormtongue says:

One-pot? How do you even clean it? I just used 3 pans! But still, nice recipe.

    1. User avatar Emily Saunders says:

      4 stars
I know right? One-pot does sound easier! But don’t worry, it wasn’t too bad to clean up my 3 pans. This recipe still looks tasty! 4 stars for that.

    2. User avatar Ilban Richese says:

      3 stars
Dude, it’s called ‘one-pot’ for a reason! If you follow the instructions, it should work. But I get it, sometimes things just get messy! 3 stars for the effort.

  23. 5 stars
Yum! The garlic and basil combo is amazing. I could eat this every day! 🍝❤️

  24. User avatar Geneva Brakus says:

    3 stars
I found it a bit bland. Needs more spices or something. I added some onion and it was better!

    1. User avatar Frodo Baggins says:

      4 stars
I totally agree! A little more spice can make a big difference. I’m gonna try adding some chili powder next time.

    2. User avatar hilton.schuster28 says:

      3 stars
Onions? Really? I thought this was a pasta recipe not a stew! 😂 But hey, whatever works for you!

  25. User avatar Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz says:

    4 stars
I messed up step 1 and drained too early (my bad), but the sauce still saved it. Next time I’ll keep an eye on the pasta timing.

  26. 5 stars
Super quick and delish! My kids devoured it, will def make again! 😊

    1. User avatar dominga.torphy says:

  27. User avatar rubi.bernhard82 says:

    4 stars
I accidentally used penne instead of spaghetti. Still delish! 😋

  28. User avatar Magrathean sperm whale says:

    4 stars
One pot? Psh, took me a pot and a strainer. Still, it was tasty.

  29. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

    5 stars
This was super flavorful for a one-pot meal. The garlic really shines and the sauce tastes fresh. I used a little extra basil and it was perfect!

  30. User avatar jon.anderson says:

    4 stars
Spaghetti is usually bland, but this was packed with flavor! Thumbs up from me!

    1. User avatar Charles Miller says:

      3 stars
Honestly, I tried it and it was just okay. A bit too much garlic for my taste.

    2. User avatar alina.goyette1986 says:

      5 stars
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I found the flavors really come alive with the fresh basil! 🌿

  31. User avatar josephina.rath8 says:

    4 stars
I was skeptical about cooking the tomatoes just 10 minutes, but they broke down nicely. Red pepper flakes were a good call too—nice little kick.

    1. User avatar liberal.hero says:

      4 stars
10 minutes is kinda quick… but I guess if the tomatoes are chopped small it works. I added a little extra basil at the end though. Would do again.

    2. User avatar Hagraven says:

      5 stars
Same here—I didn’t think 10 minutes would do much, but once they started getting saucy it all came together. The red pepper flakes actually made it taste way more “restaurant-y.”

  32. User avatar santos.kiehn says:

    4 stars
Absolutely fabulous! Just needs a bit more cheese for that extra flavor. Yummy!

  33. User avatar charmaine.franecki72 says:

    3 stars
I tried it, but honestly, it was kind of bland. I added some chicken and it helped a bit. 🤷‍♂️

  34. 3 stars
How many calories in this? I need to count for my diet.

  35. 3 stars
It was okay, but I felt like it needed something else… Maybe some meat or more spices? Just doesn’t feel complete.

  36. 4 stars
Not bad, but 10 minutes wasn’t long enough for my tomatoes (they were more watery). I cooked it like 15-18 mins and then it finally tasted right.

    1. User avatar clare.hayes2015 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—10 minutes can be way too short depending on the tomatoes. If they’re watery, you just gotta let them break down longer until they thicken up a bit. 15–18 sounds right!

  37. User avatar gregorio.durgan23 says:

    5 stars
Loved it! Quick meal after a long day at work. Thanks for sharing!

  38. User avatar marianne.king says:

    3 stars
It was okay, I expected more flavor. Maybe I should’ve added more spices.

  39. User avatar adell.toy66 says:

    5 stars
Made this tonight—so easy and actually tasted like a real dinner, not just “passable.” The garlic step is key. I added a little extra basil and it was perfect.

  40. User avatar kyle.windler50 says:

    5 stars
Five stars! This is one of those recipes that makes you feel like a chef. Also, one pot is always a win. My roommates asked for seconds.

  41. User avatar ivelisse.adams28 says:

    3 stars
Tasted good but my husband said it was too garlicky. 😬

  42. User avatar Odell Harber DVM says:

    5 stars
This was absolutely delicious! The flavors melded perfectly. Will definitely make again!

    1. User avatar cyndi.volkman2004 says:

      5 stars
I totally agree! This pasta is so easy to make and tastes like a gourmet dish. Can’t wait to whip it up again!

  43. 2 stars
Tasted fine but my girlfriend said it was bland. 🤷‍♂️

  44. User avatar Paul "Muad'Dib" "Usul" Atreides says:

    5 stars
YUM! Great for a weeknight, put it all in one pot and done! 🍝

  45. User avatar Duncan Idaho says:

    3 stars
The instructions are straightforward, but I feel like it needs more seasoning than “salt and black pepper to taste.” I ended up adding a pinch of sugar because my tomatoes were pretty acidic.

  46. User avatar issac.hodkiewicz60 says:

    4 stars
My kids loved it! So easy to make and clean up too! Perfect for a weeknight dinner.

  47. User avatar melissa.fahey says:

    4 stars
I don’t like basil so I left it out and it was still yum!

    1. 5 stars
I did the same! Didn’t even miss the basil. Just added extra garlic and it was bomb! 👍

    2. User avatar sheldon.bayer71 says:

      3 stars
Really? No basil? I thought it was super important. Might try it your way, but it can’t be as good without that herb!

  48. User avatar apolonia.mcdermott52 says:

    5 stars
Best pasta ever! Way better than the store-bought stuff. My husband loved it.

  49. User avatar basementDweller says:

    5 stars
This dish is so simple but soooo good! I made it for my kids and they gobbled it up. 😍

  50. User avatar lesa.lesch1960 says:

    2 stars
Why cook tomatoes? Aren’t they already good in the salad? This doesn’t seem right.

    1. User avatar israel.schuppe1983 says:

      5 stars
Cooking tomatoes brings out their flavor! Plus, they get all saucy and nice. It’s like a whole new dish! 🍝

  51. 2 stars
I dunno. Adding raw tomatoes just makes it soggy. Maybe try canned?

  52. 4 stars
Quick and easy! Love the garlic too, will make again for sure.

  53. User avatar taisha.kris says:

    5 stars
This pasta is sooooo good! I made it for my family and they loved it. 😍

  54. User avatar blanca.dickinson63 says:

    3 stars
I swear I doubled the garlic, but it wasn’t garlicky enough. Weird!

  55. User avatar rosendo.gutkowski says:

    5 stars
This is the best pasta I’ve ever made! So simple and delicious!

    1. 5 stars
I tried this recipe last night and it was amazing! Way better than what I usually make.

  56. User avatar precious.gutmann1979 says:

    4 stars
I followed it pretty closely. Sauce was flavorful, but my tomatoes took longer than 10 min to break down. Still delicious though—next time I’ll let it simmer longer.

  57. User avatar rickiestmorty says:

    5 stars
Tastes like summer! I used fresh tomatoes from my garden!!

  58. 5 stars
This is giving “weeknight comfort.” The red pepper flakes add just the right kick. I used jarred tomatoes once and it still worked.

    1. User avatar paola.dooley says:

      4 stars
I’m surprised it still works with jarred tomatoes (props to you). I usually try to avoid jars, but 10 minutes to break down the sauce sounds like it would still taste good.

    2. User avatar horacio.terry79 says:

      5 stars
Yes! The “weeknight comfort” vibe is exactly right. The garlic + red pepper flakes combo is such a winner—haven’t made it without the kick since I found this.

  59. User avatar doris.ortiz says:

    3 stars
It was alright. A bit too garlicky for my liking, but the kids enjoyed it.

  60. User avatar Wonko the Sane says:

    1 star
not enough protein in this. I would never make this for my husband. He needs meat! 😅

    1. User avatar oren.ebert4 says:

      4 stars
Your husband might actually like this! You could always add some grilled chicken or shrimp to it. 😊

    2. 2 stars
I dunno, seems a bit light for dinner if you ask me. Pasta without meat? What’s that about? 🤔

  61. User avatar geoWizard says:

    3 stars
I tried it but my sauce turned out too watery. Maybe my tomatoes weren’t as ripe? I should’ve cooked longer or used less tomato liquid.

  62. User avatar Ford Prefect says:

    5 stars
This pasta was a hit with my family! So easy and delicious. Will definitely make again!

  63. User avatar quiana.crooks says:

    4 stars
Easy and quick! Perfect for a weeknight dinner. Will definitely make again!

  64. User avatar brice.gerhold2002 says:

    5 stars
Delicious! I added extra cheese. Who doesn’t love more cheese?!

  65. 1 star
Spaghetti not good when there is no meat. Recipe needs more flavor.

    1. User avatar Marco DeStinkshun says:

      4 stars
I actually think it’s really flavorful! The garlic and basil add a nice kick. Maybe you just needed to season it more to your taste?

    2. User avatar cole.schamberger says:

      2 stars
No meat? What a boring recipe! Gotta have some sausage or ground beef for flavor! This ain’t it.

  66. User avatar luke.gerlach63 says:

    4 stars
Such a quick meal! Made it in under 30 min! Will make again!

  67. 4 stars
Made this for a date night. It was a hit! Romantic dinner made easy! 🍷

  68. User avatar normand.leannon23 says:

    4 stars
Easy weeknight recipe, not gonna lie. I followed it pretty much exactly and it turned out great. My only tweak: added a splash of pasta water to help it cling to the spaghetti.

  69. 4 stars
Pretty solid weeknight meal. I followed it mostly, but I had to add a splash of pasta water because mine felt a little dry after the 10 minutes. Still flavorful.

    1. 5 stars
Glad it worked for you! I always keep pasta water on standby too—10 minutes can vary depending on how juicy your tomatoes are.

    2. 4 stars
“Mostly” is still a win 😄. Tomato-based sauces can get dry fast. Next time try a lil longer with the tomatoes or add more basil at the end.

  70. User avatar donn.okuneva1961 says:

    1 star
Eh. It was okay. My cat wouldn’t even eat the leftovers.

  71. User avatar gregorio.anderson43 says:

    2 stars
I followed the recipe to a T, but it turned out too watery. Maybe less tomato next time?

    1. User avatar Chas Cassin II says:

      4 stars
I had the same issue! I think maybe the tomatoes were just too juicy this time. Next time, I’ll try using less or draining them a bit first.

    2. User avatar leon.fahey69 says:

      3 stars
Really? Mine turned out perfect! Maybe you didn’t drain the pasta enough or added too many tomatoes? Just a thought.

  72. User avatar rashad.lebsack says:

    5 stars
This is dangerously good for a one-pot situation. The garlic + tomatoes simmer down into a sauce that actually clings to the pasta. I used extra basil and it was perfect.

  73. 4 stars
One pot? Sounds too simple to be good, but I’ll give it a try. I like spaghetti.

    1. User avatar morgan.buckridge says:

      5 stars
I was skeptical too, but it turned out great! Simple doesn’t mean bad, just try it!

  74. User avatar ta.armstrong1952 says:

    4 stars
Took me longer than expected to cook, but the flavor was worth it! Will make again.

    1. 5 stars
I totally agree! The flavor is amazing. I added some chicken to mine, and it was a hit!

    2. User avatar Michael83 says:

      2 stars
Took too long for me too, and I didn’t think it was that great. Just pasta with some tomatoes, right? 🤷‍♂️

  75. 4 stars
The one-pot vibe is great, but draining the spaghetti makes it not really one-pot? Anyway, flavor is solid. Garlic could be a little less for my taste.

    1. User avatar Fausto O'Kon II says:

      4 stars
Yeah I see what you mean about the one-pot claim. Draining kinda breaks the “one-pot” vibe, but it still keeps a lot of the process in the skillet. Garlic amount tweak is super easy though—next time try 2–3 cloves if you’re sensitive.

  76. User avatar deeann.hamill48 says:

    3 stars
Not sure why it’s called “one-pot” when you still cook the spaghetti separately, but whatever—taste matters. Still a solid recipe.

    1. User avatar Cassiopeia says:

      5 stars
Yeah I get what you mean—true one-pot would mean no separate spaghetti step. But at least the sauce + finishing part is all in one pan, so it’s more like “mostly one-pot.” Either way, if it tastes good, that’s the win. 😄

  77. User avatar emil.schmidt88 says:

    5 stars
This is like my go-to comfort pasta now. I used roasted tomatoes once and it came out even better.

  78. User avatar teresa.brown9 says:

    5 stars
Delicious! The basil added at the end actually made a difference. Will make again for sure.

  79. User avatar Loonquawl and Phouchg says:

    2 stars
meh. Too much garlic for my family. Also I added Parmesan but it clumped weird lol.

  80. User avatar son.senger says:

    3 stars
I love tomatoes and garlic but mine came out tasting a bit flat. Could be my salt? I ended up adding more pepper flakes and it helped a lot.

  81. 2 stars
This was too bland for me. I think it needs more spice or something.

  82. 2 stars
Garlic smelled amazing, but I think I burned it slightly—1-2 minutes turned into like 3 for me. Sauce was still edible though, so… meh.

    1. 4 stars
3 minutes is not burned… maybe a little brown but it’s fine. Next time do low heat and keep stirring. Also basil at the end is the move.

    2. User avatar dong.carter1963 says:

      4 stars
Ugh, I feel that 😅 Garlic can go from “fragrant” to “oops” so fast. If it was still edible, you basically just got a stronger flavor—kinda like roasted garlic vibes.

  83. User avatar taneka.koss9 says:

    2 stars
Meh… I expected more wow. The recipe is simple which is good, but it tasted kind of like canned tomato pasta sauce without much depth. Parmesan helped.
