Grilled Beef and Asparagus Breakfast Skewers

August 9, 2023

If you’re tired of the same old breakfast options and are looking for something a little more exciting, Grilled Beef and Asparagus Breakfast Skewers are the perfect solution. This dish combines tender, juicy beef with crisp asparagus for a hearty, protein-packed breakfast that will keep you energized and satisfied all morning. The skewers are quick to prepare, full of flavor, and offer a fun way to enjoy your morning meal.

The key to these skewers is the grilling process. The beef, whether it’s steak or ground beef, is marinated in a simple yet flavorful mix of garlic, olive oil, and your favorite herbs. Grilling the beef imparts a smoky, charred flavor that enhances its natural richness. The asparagus, on the other hand, becomes slightly crispy on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside. It’s the perfect complement to the beef, adding freshness and crunch.

Assembling the skewers is a breeze. Simply alternate chunks of beef with pieces of asparagus and grill until the beef is cooked to your desired level and the asparagus is tender. The result is a satisfying breakfast option that’s quick, healthy, and full of flavors that pair wonderfully together.

These skewers are versatile and can be customized based on your preferences. Add some bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms to the skewers for extra flavor and texture. If you like a bit of heat in the morning, a sprinkle of chili flakes or a drizzle of hot sauce can elevate the dish. You can also serve these skewers with a side of scrambled eggs or a light salad for an extra dose of nutrients.

Grilled Beef and Asparagus Breakfast Skewers are not only a delicious breakfast but also a great way to break the monotony of your usual routine. They’re perfect for a weekend brunch or even meal prep for the week ahead. With minimal ingredients and maximum flavor, these skewers are a breakfast you’ll want to enjoy again and again.

I was skeptical about beef for breakfast, but it turned out great. The asparagus was a nice touch.

    1. 5 stars
I’m glad you liked it! Beef for breakfast is underrated in my opinion. Makes me feel fancy!

  3. User avatar darrin.kihn47 says:

    3 stars
Great idea! Only thing: I didn’t have sirloin so I used something else and it cooked uneven. Still tasty, just not as tender.

  4. User avatar shelton.tillman97 says:

Are you kidding me? Beef and asparagus for breakfast? That’s a hard pass!

    1. User avatar clement.keebler says:

      5 stars
Why not? It’s a great way to start the day with protein! Love this idea!

    2. User avatar Miss Mitch Davis says:

      2 stars
I mean, beef for breakfast? Seems weird. Eggs go with everything.

  5. User avatar nam.rodriguez75 says:

    3 stars
Hmm… asparagus for breakfast??? I dunno, sounds weird but my friend said it was good, so I’m giving it a shot.

  6. 2 stars
I don’t get why people like beef and asparagus together. Gross!

  7. User avatar harrison.jerde45 says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have asparagus, so I used broccoli instead. Still turned out great!

  8. User avatar desire.block50 says:

    2 stars
I followed it exactly and the timing felt too long for my grill. 3-4 min per side made the beef overdone (maybe my cubes were smaller).

    1. 5 stars
Totally believable—every grill runs a little different. I use medium heat and do closer to ~2-3 min/side for smaller cubes, then pull when they look a bit springy. Resting helps too.

    2. User avatar geoffrey.rohan says:

      3 stars
Maybe you just need hotter heat? Like if you grill longer it dries out… but 3-4 min sounds right tho. Did you cut the beef evenly? Also asparagus gets mushy if overcooked, so maybe start asparagus first?

  9. User avatar verline.hansen1986 says:

    3 stars
Grilling is the best way to cook meat, but I burned my skewers. Anyone else?

    1. 4 stars
I totally feel you! I burnt a batch before too. Maybe try soaking the skewers next time? Helps a lot!

    2. User avatar fredric.douglas2008 says:

      2 stars
Come on, grilling is not for everyone. I prefer baking! Less chance to burn stuff.

  10. 4 stars
I thought beef and veggies together was odd, but you convinced me! Will try! 4/5.

  11. 3 stars
I didn’t have asparagus, used broccoli instead. Still turned out okay, but not the same. 3/5.

  12. User avatar jade.stark78 says:

    3 stars
Wasn’t a fan of the spices, too much paprika for my taste. I’ll stick to eggs.

  13. User avatar roma.wolf63 says:

    3 stars
Hey, can I use frozen asparagus? I dont have fresh right now…

    1. User avatar sherwood.sanford says:

      5 stars
Yeah, frozen asparagus should work fine! Just make sure to thaw it first and maybe adjust the cooking time a bit. Enjoy your skewers!

  14. User avatar hazel.treutel5 says:

    1 star
Worst instructions. I did exactly this and the beef was dry—maybe my grill was hotter but the steps didn’t say anything about thickness so… yeah.

  15. User avatar ShanksOnePiece says:

    4 stars
So easy to make! I had everything in my pantry. Will def.make this again!

  16. User avatar hallie.ryan44 says:

Just grilled some and they’re sizzling! Perfectly cooked! 5 stars!

Grilling beef for breakfast? That’s a bit weird, don’t you think?

    2. User avatar Helen Highwater says:

      5 stars
Sounds delicious! I need to try this recipe soon. Great job!

  17. User avatar rob.glover54 says:

    5 stars
Skipped the grill & used a pan instead. Still tasted fab! #cookinghack

  18. User avatar Frost Atronach says:

    5 stars
Super easy and looks fancy. I served it with runny eggs and it felt like a real weekend meal instead of just dinner leftovers.

  19. User avatar minnie.aufderhar99 says:

    3 stars
I don’t know, the beef was super chewy. Maybe I cooked it too long? 🤔

  20. User avatar myrta.veum98 says:

    1 star
Nah, this doesn’t sound like breakfast to me. Who eats meat and asparagus in the morning?!

    1. 5 stars
This is actually a great breakfast! I love trying new things. Meat and veggies can be a filling way to start your day!

    2. User avatar zachery.marquardt says:

      4 stars
I totally get what you mean! Breakfast should be pancakes or cereal, right? But hey, some people like a meaty start to the day!

  21. 4 stars
Pretty solid for a breakfast-style skewer. I followed it mostly, but mine took closer to 5-6 min per side because the grill runs hot—still turned out great.

  22. 2 stars
Way too much salt for my taste—maybe I’m sensitive. I used low-sodium and it still turned out decent, but I’d cut it next time.

  23. User avatar Virgilio Bogan DDS says:

    2 stars
Too salty. I followed the recipe exactly but it was still salt-forward. Also, my grill runs hot so 3-4 minutes a side was too much.

  24. User avatar jared.schiller2020 says:

    5 stars
I tried this for meal prep and it’s kind of addicting. The spice mix clings well, and the rest time matters—juicier beef.

  25. User avatar shea.daugherty89 says:

    5 stars
These sound awesome—quick, filling, and I love the beef + asparagus combo. I’d probably add a squeeze of lemon at the end for brightness.

  26. 2 stars
Why would anyone want asparagus for breakfast? Beef is good but could have just used eggs.

  27. User avatar hollie.bayer96 says:

    5 stars
    Yummy! 😋

    1. User avatar aurelio.heidenreich0 says:

      5 stars
Looks delicious! Can’t wait to try it! 🌟

  28. 3 stars
The beef was nice, but the asparagus was too crunchy for my taste… Maybe next time I’ll cook them longer.

    1. User avatar scottie.macejkovic says:

      4 stars
I think asparagus is great when it’s crunchy! But I get it, everyone has their own preferences. You could try steaming them for a bit before grilling next time.

  29. User avatar adriene.bernhard29 says:

    5 stars
OMG! YUM! My kids loved it, even with all the green stuff! lol

  30. User avatar felix.schiller says:

    4 stars
Fantastic recipe! I added some cherry tomatoes and it was lit!

  31. User avatar milford.krajcik says:

    5 stars
Wow, these skewers are absolutely delicious! The seasoning really brings out the flavor of the beef.

  32. User avatar ramiro.gorczany83 says:

    3 stars
Instructions were confusing. How long exactly do I grill for?! 3 stars.

  33. User avatar Margot Fenring says:

    5 stars
Not gonna lie, I thought it would be bland. But the olive oil + seasoning really helps. Also super quick—perfect when you’re hungry and late.

    1. User avatar Android 19 says:

      5 stars
Exactly! I was skeptical too, but the olive oil and that garlic + paprika mix totally brings it. Super fast meal win for busy nights.

  34. User avatar Lina Ginster says:

    2 stars
Why would anyone eat beef for breakfast? Just weird…

  35. 5 stars
Gave these a try and they turned out AWESOME. Juicy beef, tender asparagus, and the seasoning doesn’t taste dusty or weird. 10/10.

    1. User avatar Gaius Helen Mohiam says:

      5 stars
Love hearing this! “Dusty or weird” seasoning is the worst—glad the garlic paprika mix worked out for you. What doneness did you go for on the beef?

  36. 5 stars
These skewers are amazing! So easy to make and really tasty!

  37. User avatar nida.hodkiewicz61 says:

    2 stars
Skewers are cool, but is that really breakfast? 😕

  38. User avatar jimmie.goodwin says:

    3 stars
I didn’t have sirloin so I used flank steak and it came out a bit tougher. Maybe cube size matters—mine were bigger so the cook time was off.

  39. User avatar veronique.weimann1958 says:

    4 stars
Easy peasy! I added some hot sauce on top for a kick – it was delish!

  40. 5 stars
These were AMAZING. Like better than steakhouse breakfast vibes. My kids even ate the asparagus without complaining (rare!).

  41. User avatar daron.nicolas24 says:

    4 stars
Really good idea for skewers—love how fast it cooks. I did 3 minutes a side and it came out medium-rare-ish. Next time I’ll rest them a bit longer.

  42. User avatar neil.bradtke87 says:

    4 stars
Skewered beef is the best! But I used chicken instead. Still delish.

    1. 4 stars
Sounds good! Chicken is great too. I love using different meats. 😋

    2. User avatar lanny.cummerata29 says:

      2 stars
But it’s not the same recipe if you use chicken! Beef is where the flavor’s at. 😒

  43. User avatar ShanksOnePiece says:

    5 stars
Grilled beef and asparagus skewers are the best way to start a day. Can’t wait to impress my friends with this!

  44. User avatar tarsha.harber says:

    4 stars
My kids wouldn’t eat asparagus (as usual), but I caught them stealing bites from the skewers. Maybe the paprika makes it more “snacky.”

  45. User avatar novella.mitchell says:

    2 stars
Not a big fan of asparagus. Could this work with broccoli instead? 🤔 Just curious!

  46. User avatar ebonie.schneider85 says:

    3 stars
Not bad! But I’m not sure breakfast skewers are my thing. Still tasty, just a little intense with all that spice for the morning.

  47. User avatar rachael.purdy1958 says:

    5 stars
These were amazing! The flavor was spot on, and the asparagus was perfectly cooked. Will definitely make again!

    1. User avatar vern.nicolas says:

      3 stars
Really? I tried these and they were kinda tough. Maybe I cooked them too long?

    2. User avatar blake.fadel29 says:

      5 stars
I’m so glad you enjoyed them! They are a hit at my house too!

  48. User avatar antonio.marquardt says:

    5 stars
So easy! I’m making these again for meal prep. If you rest them a few minutes like they say, the juices stay in.

  49. 2 stars
Too salty for my taste, but the concept is good. Maybe less salt next time? 2 stars.

  50. User avatar stuart.monahan says:

    4 stars
I’m not sure about breakfast skewers lol. Tastes great though—spices are on point. I’d just call it brunch instead.

    1. User avatar leanne.koepp says:

      5 stars
lol I love this idea. I usually do eggs on skewers but beef/asparagus sounds way more filling. Only thing—3-4 min per side feels too fast for sirloin cubes, I’d cook longer.

    2. User avatar cherry.bergnaum95 says:

      4 stars
Honestly I’m with you—breakfast skewers is a little weird, but they totally nail the flavor. Brunch name is way better 😂

  51. User avatar charley.feeney50 says:

    2 stars
Meh. Salt/pepper were fine but paprika felt a little heavy. Could be my brand of paprika though. Would maybe cut it down next time.

    1. User avatar gertrud.jenkins6 says:

      4 stars
Totally agree—paprika can get overpowering fast. I usually do closer to 1 tsp, and it’s perfect. What kind of paprika did you use (smoked vs sweet)?

    2. User avatar enid.fisher says:

      3 stars
Huh I thought more paprika would be better lol. But yeah if your paprika is strong, 2 tsp is a lot. Next time try less or use a milder brand. Maybe also add it after mixing with the oil?

  52. User avatar anonymous_hacker says:

    4 stars
Grilling skewers is always a pain—sliding around, grabbing, all that. But the results were worth it. I’ll prep everything ahead next time.

  53. User avatar rosemary.jacobi says:

    5 stars
Really easy to prep—skewering is kinda satisfying lol. I used thinner asparagus and it cooked perfectly, so I think thickness matters a lot.

  54. 4 stars
Super easy to make! My kids loved them, and they’re usually picky eaters!

    1. User avatar anonymous_hacker says:

      2 stars
Really? My kids didn’t like it. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

    2. User avatar leontine.rutherford1974 says:

      5 stars
That’s awesome to hear! I love when kids enjoy their veggies. I’ll have to try this recipe!

  55. User avatar ellis.mueller says:

    3 stars
Did you really need to preheat grill? Can’t we just throw them on? Seems silly.

  56. User avatar lyman.zboncak73 says:

    5 stars
These skewers are out of this world! My family loved them so much! 5 stars!

  57. User avatar bobbie.pfannerstill87 says:

    2 stars
I tried this but my beef was tough. Maybe I cooked it too long? Not sure if I’ll try again.

  58. 4 stars
I’m not usually an asparagus person for breakfast, but the pairing works. Next time I might add a squeeze of lemon for brightness.

  59. User avatar Tami Gusikowski says:

    4 stars
1 pound beef is fine, but 1 bunch asparagus felt short for my skewers. Had to use extra asparagus and it stretched better. Portioning might need tweaking.

  60. User avatar jewell.murazik says:

    3 stars
I’m skeptical about grilling beef for breakfast (like it’s gonna feel too “dinner-y”), but the flavor is legit. However, I would’ve liked a little acid—maybe lemon after grilling.

    1. User avatar Falmer Shadowmaster says:

      5 stars
Totally get the “too dinner-y” worry 😅 but these flavors sound great. I love the idea of brushing or squeezing lemon right after grilling—would brighten it up a lot.

    2. User avatar angel.nicolas says:

      2 stars
Idk… I tried beef at breakfast once and it tasted wrong to me. 3-4 min per side might overcook it too (sirloin gets tough). Also lemon after would help but like… where do you even put it on a skewer lol

  61. User avatar kim.ankunding8 says:

    5 stars
Simple and tasty. Also, easy to cook with kids. 10 outta 10!

    1. 2 stars
10 outta 10? Really? I mean, it’s just beef and asparagus… Seems a bit overrated.

    2. User avatar harland.rolfson says:

      5 stars
I agree, they’re super easy! My kids loved helping with the skewers. Will make again!

  62. 2 stars
Uh, the instructions are confusing. Do I grill with cover or not? 🤔

    1. User avatar cicely.becker50 says:

      5 stars
I usually grill with the cover on to keep everything nice and juicy. Hope that helps! 😊

  63. 1 star
This seems weird for breakfast… beef and asparagus? I don’t get it. 1 star.

  64. User avatar raymond.kris1983 says:

    4 stars
I used a little less salt because I’m watching sodium. Still flavorful—garlic powder + paprika is a solid combo. I’d do again.

  65. 2 stars
I don’t think this is a breakfast thing… But whatever floats yer boat.

  66. User avatar alberto.keebler85 says:

    4 stars
4 stars. Easy peasy. Beef was good. Asparagus was decent.

  67. User avatar scotty.schimmel13 says:

    4 stars
Great recipe, but where’s the bacon? Everything is better with bacon! 🤷‍♂️

    1. User avatar Gandalf the Grey says:

      5 stars
Totally agree! Bacon would make it so much better. Maybe next time! 😄

  68. User avatar anonymous_hacker says:

    5 stars
These are AMAZING! The flavors were on point, I will make these every breakfast!

  69. User avatar galina.hettinger26 says:

    4 stars
Yummy!!! But I put too much salt, oops! Gotta be careful next time.

    1. User avatar colin.brown says:

      3 stars
Too much salt isn’t the end of the world, but I guess it depends on taste. Maybe try less next time. Sounds good otherwise!

    2. User avatar aleshia.smith66 says:

      4 stars
Salt can be tricky! I did the same thing last time. Just a pinch next time, right? Otherwise, they look delish! 👍

  70. User avatar smartestRedditor says:

    5 stars
5 stars from me! Who needs pancakes when you can have meat-on-skewers. Honestly, I could eat this every weekend.

  71. 3 stars
The seasoning ratio felt a little heavy on paprika to me (tasted kinda smoky). Still good, just not what I was expecting—maybe half the paprika would be better for my family.

  72. 3 stars
Not bad, but 3-4 minutes per side is probably too fast for thicker beef cubes. Also my asparagus dried out a bit—next time I’ll use thinner spears or soak them.

  73. User avatar tennille.herman44 says:

    5 stars
These are amazing! I made them for breakfast and my kids loved them!

  74. User avatar Sheridan Gleason says:

    2 stars
I dunno… seems like too much fuss just for some meat n veggies. I prefer my steak straight up.

  75. User avatar Juan Daniel says:

    4 stars
I can’t grill, did these in the oven, they were still good! Thanks!

  76. User avatar wellRespected says:

    4 stars
Turned out really tasty, though I think 3-4 minutes per side might be a little short depending on your grill. I had to give mine an extra minute and the asparagus softened up perfectly.

  77. User avatar grazyna.abbott7 says:

    4 stars
I’m skeptical about “breakfast” but the flavors are legit. Garlic powder + paprika on beef is always a win. Would work great with a side of yogurt or hot sauce.

    1. 5 stars
I’m with you on the skeptical “breakfast” label 😅 but the combo of garlic powder + paprika on beef is legit. Yogurt or hot sauce is exactly how I’d serve these.

    2. User avatar Super Saiyan Vegeta says:

      3 stars
Not sure about asparagus for breakfast lol. But grilled beef skewers are always good. If you use the yogurt, maybe it wont taste too weird. I’d also add a little lemon juice.

  78. User avatar jade.breitenberg says:

    5 stars
Best breakfast I’ve had in ages! Love the grill flavor on asparagus.

  79. User avatar NAFO.SUPREMACY says:

    3 stars
Not gonna lie, I burned my first batch because my grill ran hotter than “medium-high.” Still, once I adjusted, they were delicious.

    1. User avatar Katrina Smitham says:

      5 stars
That’s honestly the most relatable grill story 😂 Medium-high on paper is ALWAYS different in real life. Glad you got them dialed in—what doneness did you end up with?

    2. User avatar dale.bins18 says:

      3 stars
I tried something like this and mine were kinda dry, not gonna lie. I think 3-4 minutes per side is too long for cubes—maybe mine were smaller? Also, asparagus always burns my fingers lol. But the combo sounds good.

  80. 4 stars
Easy to follow and faster than I expected. I used wooden skewers but soaked them first like my aunt always says—no burning issues. Would make again for sure.

  81. User avatar roberto.mann2007 says:

    3 stars
I’m not sure “breakfast skewers” is my thing, but the flavors are great. The asparagus got nice and tender and the beef stayed juicy.

  82. User avatar dominique.cassin40 says:

    5 stars
This is gonna be my new brunch fav! Just love skewers <3

  83. 4 stars
Not gonna lie, breakfast skewers sound weird to me, but this was actually great. The seasoning stuck well and it felt like a fancy brunch without the effort.

  84. User avatar noe.simonis2 says:

    5 stars
I accidentally used smoked paprika instead of regular and… wow. Way more flavor than I expected. Highly recommend if you like a kick.

  85. 5 stars
These skewers were shockingly good for a “breakfast” idea—savory, not too heavy. The spice mix really stuck to everything and the asparagus stayed crisp-tender.

  86. 2 stars
Why would you grill beef for breakfast? Sounds weird to me. 🧐

  87. User avatar sharee.cronin says:

    5 stars
Grilled beef and asparagus skewers for breakfast is a bold move 😂 but it actually sounded better than eggs. I served with yogurt and it balanced the spices.

  88. User avatar Jeraldine Dickinson says:

    5 stars
Yum, made these for brunch and it was a hit! Will make again for sure! 5/5!

  89. User avatar hollis.goldner2009 says:

    4 stars
Pretty good, but 3-4 minutes per side was a little fast for my grill (beef was underdone). Next time I’ll check temperature instead of only timing.

  90. User avatar rick.ratke says:

    5 stars
5 stars! This is a perfect meal prep recipe for my diet! Thanks!

    1. User avatar Mr. Zandra Hill says:

      3 stars
Seems a bit too healthy for me, but my husband loves beef! Might give it a try.

    2. User avatar america.bartell96 says:

      5 stars
I totally agree! These skewers are delicious and perfect for meal prep. Glad you loved it!

  91. User avatar louis.yundt1950 says:

    5 stars
These skewers are such a solid breakfast idea—beef + asparagus feels fancy but still simple. I added a little lemon zest at the end and it totally popped.

  92. 4 stars
Pretty good, but my asparagus got a little too charred by the time the beef was right. Next time I’ll parboil the asparagus for a minute first.

  93. 3 stars
I tried this and forgot the salt. It was tasteless, my bad! Gonna try again!

    1. User avatar timothy.sawayn99 says:

      4 stars
Don’t forget the salt next time! It’s a game changer.

  94. User avatar Macon Paine says:

    4 stars
Followed it exactly and grilled mine a touch longer than 3-4 min/side. Beef was perfect but next time I’ll pull the skewers sooner so the asparagus doesn’t soften too much.

    1. 5 stars
Good call—3-4 min/side can vary a lot with grill temp and how thick your asparagus is. Pulling them a bit sooner should keep the asparagus crisp-tender while the beef stays perfect. Thanks for the tip!

  95. User avatar augustine.hermiston55 says:

    5 stars
Mmmm! So good! Asparagus is my fav veggie! 🥦

  96. User avatar ALTplusF4 says:

Followed the recipe but my beef was overcooked. Maybe need to watch grill closer next time.

Grilling asparagus always makes it taste better! Didn’t have garlic powder so I used fresh garlic, turned out pretty good!

  98. 4 stars
Great idea. Can I use chicken instead of beef? I’m not a big fan of beef.

This is too much prep for a breakfast. I won’t spend my morning skewing veggies.

    1. User avatar rich.landlord says:

      3 stars
Honestly, how hard can it be? Just cut and stick! I enjoy the prep, it’s kinda therapeutic. Give it a shot!

    2. 4 stars
I totally get that! Mornings are busy, and who has time to be skewing veggies? Maybe just toss everything in a pan instead?

These skewers are such a solid breakfast idea—quick, filling, and the paprika/garlic combo is 🔥. I cooked them closer to 4 minutes per side and the beef stayed juicy.

I tried it but mine came out a bit dry… I might’ve overcooked. Also I used chicken instead of beef and it was… okay? Next time I’m doing the sirloin for sure. Paprika is always good tho.

    2. User avatar arlie.mertz says:

Totally agree—this is such a good “weekend breakfast but still feels like dinner” meal. I did mine almost exactly as written (maybe 4 min/side too) and the asparagus stayed bright.

So simple but soooo good! My kids even liked it! 🌟

The spice blend is great, but 1/2 tsp black pepper feels low if you like heat. I added chili powder and it went from good to great.

  103. User avatar roslyn.mann75 says:

    3 stars
They’re ok, but I think the beef could use more seasoning. Just kinda bland.

  104. User avatar shad.schiller59 says:

    4 stars
Solid idea with the skewers. I marinated mine in a little extra olive oil and lemon before grilling and it turned out even better. Great with a side of eggs.

  105. 5 stars
These skewers are amazing! The spices really make a difference. Will definitely make again.

  106. User avatar dustin.rogahn56 says:

Honestly, mine stuck a bit to the grates even though I oiled. Maybe I didn’t preheat long enough. Flavor was good, presentation not as pretty.

These were so delicious! My kids actually ate asparagus for once! 😊

Love the idea of this recipe! But can I use chicken instead of beef? Not a fan of red meat.

  109. User avatar zachariah.schmidt2006 says:

I followed it but my asparagus burned a bit—next time I’ll trim more aggressively or start them on for less time. Still edible and flavorful though.

  110. 4 stars
I’m skeptical about breakfast skewers, but honestly this works. The flavors are bold without being heavy, which is rare for beef in the morning.

  111. User avatar saturnina.towne says:

I tried this and the beef stuck to the grates even though I oiled it. Maybe I didn’t preheat long enough, but still—messy cook.

  112. 5 stars
5 stars for sure! Quick and easy breakfast idea. Perfect for summer BBQs.

This sounds amazing! I never thought of having beef for breakfast. Definitely gonna try it at my next BBQ!

Meh. Beef was good but seasoning felt bland on my end. I think I under-salted? Also grill instructions could be clearer on thickness—mine cooked uneven.

    1. User avatar Dremora Lord says:

      4 stars
Yeah, I’ve had that happen when the beef cubes weren’t evenly sized—then the seasoning tastes “muted” and one side gets more char than the other. I now salt the beef a little heavier before seasoning the mix.

    2. User avatar Foster Heaney says:

      3 stars
Hmm I followed it exactly and mine was great… maybe your grill was too hot or your skewers were thick. 3-4 mins per side is kinda short if the beef is big chunks, but the salt amount in the recipe looks fine to me.

  114. User avatar hollie.daugherty says:

    3 stars
I followed the recipe pretty closely, but 3-4 minutes per side was not enough for my grill. Ended up going longer and still juicy though. Maybe grill temps vary a lot.

  115. 3 stars
Tasty, but I got one skewers where the asparagus charred before the beef was done. I think I should pre-trim or soak the asparagus a bit? Still edible though.

  116. 1 star
Too much garlic powder for my taste. I like garlic, but not this much. 🤢

  117. User avatar florencio.weimann1967 says:

    4 stars
If you don’t rest the skewers, the beef juices just kinda run out. Learned that the hard way—resting matters!

  118. User avatar rich.landlord says:

    5 stars
These skewers were a hit at our BBQ! The spices are perfect.

  119. 5 stars
These skewers are the bomb! 😍 Absolutely loved the flavor of the spices. Will definitely make again!

  120. User avatar kit.breitenberg81 says:

I’m not sure breakfast needs skewers… but I tried anyway and now I’m a believer. The combo is salty/smoky and the garlic powder gives it great depth.

  121. User avatar luciano.schaden says:

Grilled veg is the best. fyi, you missed adding some lemon juice maybe?

    1. 4 stars
Lemon juice might be nice, but grilled beef sounds delicious anyway! Can’t wait to try it!

  123. User avatar Michel Becker says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but I think I overcooked the beef. Might try it again with chicken next time.

  124. User avatar christiane.brekke says:

Really straightforward and the seasoning mix is spot on. 3-4 minutes per side felt perfect on my grill—next time I’ll cut the beef a tiny bit smaller for more even cooking.

  125. User avatar bertram.goldner65 says:

Loved the seasoning combo. The garlic powder and paprika make it taste like it’s from a real grill spot. Would definitely make again for brunch.

    1. User avatar CTRLplusW says:

      5 stars
Yes! The garlic powder + paprika combo really does give that “real grill” vibe. I made these for brunch too and they were gone fast. 🔥

    2. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

I liked it, but next time I’ll cut back on the salt. My paprika was kinda strong so it was almost too much for breakfast for me. Still tasty tho.

  126. User avatar mariam.kirlin61 says:

These turned out insanely good. The spice blend on the beef + that quick char on the asparagus is chef’s kiss. I cooked mine a touch longer for medium and it was perfect.

  127. User avatar Mrs. Aliza Bauch says:

I didn’t have some of the spices… I just used salt and pepper, and they were still good! lol

That’s awesome! Sometimes simpler is better. Glad you liked it!

  128. User avatar jayne.wiza17 says:

I followed the recipe pretty closely and my beef turned out a little tough. Maybe I overcooked or my sirloin cubes were too large—flavor was good!

  129. User avatar joaquina.kuhic1972 says:

    3 stars
I tried this recipe but used chicken instead of beef. Didn’t turn out as good. Maybe beef is the way to go?

    1. 5 stars
Yeah, I think beef really makes it better! Chicken can be too dry sometimes. Next time give the beef a try, it’ll be worth it!

    2. User avatar dinorah.jacobs3 says:

      3 stars
I dunno, chicken’s got its moments too! Maybe it just needs a bit more seasoning? Don’t give up on it yet!

  130. User avatar noella.nienow32 says:

Tried this for brunch and it was a total hit. The spice mix is simple but really flavorful, and the asparagus stayed crisp-tender.

  131. User avatar Effrafax of Wug says:

Was skeptical about asparagus with beef, but they actually pair well. Surprise!

  132. 3 stars
My asparagus burned a little because I didn’t space the skewers right. The beef seasoning was great though—garlic powder + paprika is a winner.

  133. User avatar frederic.casper61 says:

Honestly, I thought this would be way better. The beef was kinda tough. Maybe I overcooked it? Idk.

  134. User avatar steve_maga says:

Not bad, but 1 tsp salt feels like a lot. I used less and it still tasted good. Would recommend adjusting to taste.

  135. User avatar caroline.leuschke1986 says:

These were super fast and actually tasted like “real breakfast,” not just leftovers. The paprika + garlic combo is doing the heavy lifting. Will make again!

  136. User avatar robby.damore says:

    3 stars
The instructions are clear, but I think 3-4 minutes per side depends a lot on grill temperature and cube size. Mine cooked fast and I overdid it slightly.

  137. 5 stars
These were shockingly good for a breakfast-style idea. The beef stayed juicy and the asparagus wasn’t mushy. I used a little extra paprika and it nailed it.

  138. 3 stars
What’s “desired doneness” though? I’m confused. I cooked them until the beef looked done and hoped for the best. Turned out fine, but I’d love a temp guide.

  139. User avatar Mrs. Hung Kuhic says:

Wait—3-4 min each side?! That’s like, steak blue rare time. If you do it, watch closely or you’ll get shoe leather.
