Easy Chicken Mayo Parm

August 26, 2024

When you’re looking for a comforting, flavorful dish that doesn’t take hours to prepare, Easy Chicken Mayo Parm is the answer. This simple yet delicious recipe combines tender, juicy chicken with a creamy mayo and Parmesan topping, resulting in a dish that’s rich, satisfying, and full of flavor. Whether you’re cooking for the family or need a quick meal for yourself, this chicken parm variation is sure to become a go-to favorite.

The beauty of Easy Chicken Mayo Parm lies in its simplicity. Unlike traditional Chicken Parmesan, which requires breading and frying the chicken, this recipe cuts down on time and effort. Instead of dipping the chicken in breadcrumbs, you top it with a mixture of mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, and seasonings. The mayo creates a creamy base that helps the Parmesan cheese brown beautifully during baking, resulting in a golden, crispy crust that’s full of flavor.

The chicken itself is the star of the dish. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are a common choice for this recipe, as they cook quickly and provide a tender, juicy texture. The mayo-Parmesan topping infuses the chicken with a rich, savory flavor, creating a satisfying contrast to the mildness of the chicken. Whether you bake or pan-sear the chicken, the mayo helps to lock in moisture, ensuring that each bite is juicy and flavorful.

Easy Chicken Mayo Parm is incredibly versatile, and you can customize it to your liking. You can add garlic, herbs, or spices to the mayo mixture to enhance the flavor profile. For an extra touch, consider adding a layer of marinara sauce before baking for a more traditional Chicken Parmesan experience. You can also serve the dish with a side of pasta, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad for a well-rounded meal.

One of the best things about this dish is that it’s ready in no time. With minimal prep work and a quick bake time, it’s the perfect meal for busy weeknights or when you want something comforting but don’t have a lot of time to cook.

Not bad at all! I was skeptical about the mayo thing but it browned nicely and tasted like a creamy parm vibe. Next time I’ll maybe add a little garlic powder or pepper.

Chicken was dry and I followed the instructions. Disappointing.

My kid loved it and asked for “chicken with cream cheese sauce” lol. I didn’t tell them it was mayo and Parmesan.

Haha that’s hilarious 😄 My kids can be so picky but if they’re calling it “cream cheese sauce,” I’ll take it! Did you notice if it browned up nicely at 345F or was it more creamy?

Chicken parm shouldn’t have mayo in it. Just sayin’.

That’s weird… mayo in chicken? I dunno about that. Seems wrong.

I followed it exactly and it felt a bit… bland? Like chicken with creamy topping, but not much flavor besides cheese. Would be better with seasoning on the chicken before baking.

Why not use cheddar instead of parmesan? Cheddar mmm!

    1. User avatar clarice.nader2022 says:

      4 stars
Cheddar is nice, but it’s not the same flavor as Parmesan! I think Parmesan gives it that extra zing!

    2. 3 stars
Lol, cheddar is okay but it ain’t parm! Parm’s got that real flavor, ya know?

  19. User avatar alexis.moore17 says:

The temperature is low-ish (345°F). Took me longer than 45 minutes—had to bake until the chicken was fully done. Still good, just plan ahead.

Made it for dinner, everyone liked it. Not gonna be my go-to but alright for a weeknight.

    1. User avatar dreama.macejkovic44 says:

Honestly, I don’t think chicken and mayo go together at all! But glad it worked for you. I’ll stick to my herb-roasted chicken! 🐔✨

    2. User avatar bella.hammes90 says:

      3 stars
I tried this recipe too, but mine came out a bit soggy. Maybe I used too much mayo? But still, everyone ate it. 🤷‍♂️

  21. User avatar suellen.larkin says:

    2 stars
eh, was just ok. I think it could use more spices or something. Maybe garlic? Just a thought.

  22. User avatar deja.prosacco2021 says:

Tried this tonight—super easy and the “frosting” step makes it feel fancy. Mine came out juicy, and the mayo/Parm combo is weirdly perfect.

    1. User avatar maurice.kreiger80 says:

      3 stars
Hold up—mayo with Parm?! I’m skeptical, but I can’t lie, if it’s “frosting” then it probably seals in moisture. 345°F for 45 min sounds kinda low though… I might crank it a bit next time.

    2. User avatar elmira.huels56 says:

      5 stars
Yes!! I had the same vibe—like it’s fancy for no reason. The mayo/Parm really is a cheat code. Mine was juicy too and the pan juices were great on rice. 😄

  23. 5 stars
This was such an easy recipe! My kids loved it! Will make again.

  24. User avatar launa.hamill71 says:

    5 stars
Oh wow, I love this! Can I replace mayo with yogurt? Just curious.

  25. User avatar Draugr Deathlord says:

    3 stars
Too much mayo for my taste. Maybe half the amount next time? 🤔

  26. 5 stars
This was a hit at our dinner! So easy to make and super tasty. Will definitely make again!

  27. User avatar ron.conroy1970 says:

    5 stars
Yummyy! This is the best chicken recipe I’ve tried! 😍

  28. 3 stars
I think the directions are missing something important—like do you season the chicken at all? I did salt/pepper and it helped a lot, but otherwise it’s kinda plain.

  29. User avatar lorna.lowe44 says:

    2 stars
Why 345°F? That’s an odd number. Why not 350°F? Hmm…

  30. User avatar Frostbite Spider says:

    3 stars
This can’t be right. Isn’t mayo bad for you??? I think I’ll stick to grilled chicken.

    1. User avatar Feyd-Rautha Rabban says:

      4 stars
Mayo can be bad but in moderation it’s fine! This recipe looks tasty, give it a try!

  31. User avatar cyndy.kulas1961 says:

    2 stars
I tried this recipe but it came out kinda bland. Maybe needs more spices or something.

  32. User avatar garland.bode says:

    2 stars
Meh. Too much mayo for my taste. Also mine didn’t really brown, just stayed pale and creamy on top. Maybe my oven runs cold? Wouldn’t repeat.

  33. User avatar adan.nolan2003 says:

    4 stars
Easy peasy! Didn’t have parmesan so I used cheddar instead. Still delicious!

    1. User avatar tyron.hackett says:

      5 stars
Cheddar is a good choice! I love experimenting with different cheeses. Glad it turned out well for you!

  34. 2 stars
I dunno. The mayo with Parmesan? Not a good combo if you ask me. It ended up tasting weird.

  35. User avatar flora.kuhic13 says:

    5 stars
My kids liked it, so that’s a win. I used more Parmesan than the recipe said (oops) and it got thicker, but still tasted good. Would recommend!

  36. 4 stars
345°F is random… I might do 400°F next time for faster cooking. But the flavor was solid—crispy top, tender inside.

  37. User avatar cortez.will2000 says:

    5 stars
Loved this recipe! Super easy and my kids devoured it. Will make again!

  38. User avatar MAGA2024.Trumpster says:

    4 stars
Super quick recipe. 345F + 45 min = easy. Didn’t even need sides, but I had salad anyway 😅

  39. 5 stars
Mmmmm, chicken good!! I not cook much, but this recipe easy!

  40. 1 star
Not impressed. The mayo left a weird texture. I think next time I’ll just grill the chicken.

    1. User avatar blair.kozey says:

      5 stars
I totally get where you’re coming from! Mayo can be hit or miss, especially if it’s not your thing. Grilled chicken sounds delish! 🐔

  41. 4 stars
I was skeptical about mayonnaise, but it browned nicely and tasted like a lighter parm chicken. Would make again. Maybe add a little garlic though.

  42. User avatar Questular Rontok says:

    5 stars
Tried this tonight—super easy and the chicken stayed juicy. The mayo+parmesan “frosting” is honestly the best part. I baked mine closer to 40 min though, since my pieces were extra thin.

    1. User avatar siobhan.roob says:

      5 stars
That’s awesome—mine always dries out, so “stayed juicy” is music to my ears. The mayo+parm topping is definitely the star.

    2. User avatar Quickbeam says:

      4 stars
40 min makes sense if they were super thin. I think I did like 50 once and it was still good, but maybe my oven runs hot? Anyway looks like a keeper.

  43. User avatar michal.mosciski39 says:

    2 stars
Honestly I messed up and used the same amount of mayo and Parmesan. It was still edible, but not as good as when I measure properly. Learn from me.

    1. User avatar Bowerick Wowbagger says:

      4 stars
Wait so you should use double mayo than Parmesan? I woulda thought like equal amounts. Kinda helpful, thx. Next time I’m measuring for real 😅

    2. 5 stars
Totally been there—messing up the mayo/parmesan ratio can make it go from “wow” to just “fine.” Appreciate you sharing the fix though!

  44. User avatar Barbera O'Kon says:

    4 stars
Okay so 345°F is weirdly specific 😅 but I guess it works. I had to extend the bake time because my chicken wasn’t as thin. Still good—would make again, just watch it.

  45. User avatar mark.koelpin2016 says:

    3 stars
I followed the “use double the mayo to Parmesan” rule and it was a little too rich for me. Next time I’ll cut the mayo a bit but keep the Parm.
