A delicious and savory French Dip Sandwich, featuring tender slices of beef served on a roll with a flavorful au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
- 0.5 pound Roast Beef thinly sliced
- 1 cup Beef Broth low sodium
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 0.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 French Roll sliced in half
- 2 slices Provolone Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the sliced roast beef to the broth mixture and allow it to heat through for about 5 minutes.
- While the beef heats, place the French roll on a baking sheet. Top each half with a slice of provolone cheese.
- Bake the bread and cheese in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- Using tongs, place the warmed roast beef onto the cheesy French roll halves.
- Serve immediately with a small bowl of the au jus for dipping.

It turned out ok, but I think more garlic would make it better. Also, is provolone the best cheese for this? I used cheddar instead.
I totally agree with you! Garlic always enhances flavor. And while provolone is great, I think cheddar could also work. It’s all about personal taste!
