Burrata bruschetta is a delicious and sophisticated twist on the classic Italian appetizer, combining the creamy richness of burrata cheese with the fresh flavors of tomatoes, basil, and a crispy, toasted bread base. This dish is perfect for summer gatherings, special occasions, or as a light starter for any meal. The combination of creamy, tangy burrata with the sweetness of tomatoes and the crunch of the toasted bread creates a perfect balance of textures and flavors.
At the heart of this bruschetta is burrata, a fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream. Its soft, creamy interior offers a luxurious contrast to the slightly firm outer layer, making it a delightful addition to any dish. Burrata pairs beautifully with the juicy, ripe tomatoes that top the bruschetta, infusing the whole dish with freshness and natural sweetness.
To prepare burrata bruschetta, fresh tomatoes are typically diced and mixed with a bit of extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Fresh basil is added to bring a fragrant, herbaceous note that complements the richness of the burrata and the acidity of the tomatoes. This mixture is spooned over slices of toasted baguette or rustic bread, which adds a satisfying crunch and helps to soak up all the delicious juices from the tomato mixture.
The crowning glory of burrata bruschetta is, of course, the burrata itself. After the toasted bread is topped with the tomato mixture, a generous portion of burrata is placed on top. The burrata is often cut open, allowing its creamy interior to spill out, creating a luscious, indulgent texture that melds beautifully with the other ingredients.
For an added layer of flavor, drizzle the bruschetta with a little more olive oil and balsamic glaze, or sprinkle with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Burrata bruschetta is perfect for sharing and can be served as a light appetizer or a refreshing snack.

Not bad but the balsamic glaze was too much for me. Couldn’t really taste the cheese. 🤷♂️
I thought the balsamic glaze was the best part! Maybe just use less next time?
Cheese should be the star, so I get why you’d want to taste that more. Next time try using less glaze, or none at all!
Why does everyone rave about this? It was just toast with cheese to me. I expected more. 🙄
I get what you’re saying! It’s really just fancy toast, but I think the burrata makes it special. Maybe you were expecting something more complex?
Nah, it ain’t just toast! What about the basil and balsamic? That’s where the flavor pops! Try it again, maybe add a few more toppings!
This was amazing! The burrata is so creamy, and the tomatoes add a nice touch. Will make again for sure!
Simple and quick, perfect for a weekday snack. Thanks!
Okay but why do my tomatoes always get watery? I used 1 cup halved and it kinda flooded the bread. Still tasty, just not as pretty.
This is dangerously good—creamy burrata + juicy tomatoes. The balsamic drizzle totally makes it taste fancy without much work.
Hmmm… I used feta cheese instead of burrata. Still tasted alright but not the same thing, right? Lol
Burrata?? What even is that?? I used mozzarella and it turned out fine. Hehe.
I don’t understand all the hype. It was just toast with cheese and tomatoes. Meh.
Balsamic glaze is a bit too strong for me. Can I skip that step?
Why not add garlic to the bread? Would’ve made it better. Dissapointing.
So quick and perfect for parties! Everyone loved it! 👏✨
Thx for this! I added some garlic and it made it better. Yum!
Not sure if garlic fits this dish tho… I mean, it’s bruschetta, right? 🤔
Garlic is a great addition! I always put it in too. Makes everything better! 😋
Yummm! But I used feta instead of burrata because I couldn’t find it. Still turned out great!
Baguette was soggy for me. Not sure what I did wrong, but it didn’t turn out as crunchy as I hoped.
This is the BEST bruschetta I’ve ever made! The burrata just melts in your mouth. Yummm!
I totally agree! The burrata makes it so creamy! I can’t get enough of it!
Looks great and all, but burrata can be a bit overpriced. Is it really worth the hype?
Nice recipe, but could use some garlic. Simple and quick. Thumbs up!
Why garlic? The bruschetta is already good without it. People just keep adding stuff lol.
Totally agree! Garlic would really bring out the flavor. Maybe I’ll add some next time. 😊
How do you even pronounce burrata? Is it ‘bur-rah-ta’ or ‘boo-rah-ta’? Anyway, it was good.
It’s ‘boo-rah-ta’! But who really cares when it tastes so good, right? Glad you liked it!
I used regular mozzarella instead because I couldn’t find burrata. Still turned out good, but I’m sure the burrata is better!
Regular mozzarella? That’s a risky move! Idk if it would taste the same. Burrata or bust! 🤔
Glad it turned out good! Mozzarella is great too. Burrata’s just a bit creamier, but gotta work with what you have. 🍅
Bruchetta? I thought it was bruschetta. What’s the difference? Anyway, it was good.
Great recipe! I didn’t have balsamic so I used ketchup – was still good lol.
Not my thing… I prefer cheddar on toast, but my friend loved it!
Good recipe, but I feel like I’m missing something. Like some spice or garlic maybe? 🤔
Nah, it’s perfect the way it is! Sometimes simple is better. Just enjoy! 😊
I totally agree! A little garlic or red pepper flakes would elevate it! ✨
Disgusting! My bread burnt and it all was a mess. Not worth the time.
Too much cheese! I think 1 ball is overkill for 4 slices. Next time I’ll use less.
I disagree! The more cheese the better! Burrata is the star here!
Made it for friends and everyone went back for seconds. I used a bit more basil and it was perfect.
I made it for a party and everyone ate it all. Very classy. Thumbs up!
Can I use mozzarella instead of burrata? I don’t think I’ve ever seen burrata at the store.
No way! Burrata is sooo creamy, mozzarella is not the same at all. Don’t do it!
Using mozzarella is fine! It won’t be exactly the same, but it’ll still taste good. Burrata can be hard to find sometimes.
absolutely YUM!! 🔥
Just okay, could’ve used more flavor. Adding garlic next time!
Absolutely delicious! The burrata made it so creamy and rich.
400°F for only 5 minutes seems too short? My slices were pale. I ended up toasting closer to 10 minutes.
Yum! Love this recipe! I added some garlic to the tomatoes and it was perfect. Def making it again!
This was absolutely delicious! The burrata melted in my mouth. Will make again!
Super easy to make! My family loved it. Will make again for sure! 😊
I tried it too! So good and easy, right? I added some garlic on the bread before toasting! Anyone else do that?
I didn’t have burrata, so I used regular mozzarella. Still pretty good, but I bet burrata is better.
I didn’t have balsamic glaze, used ketchup instead. Still tasted fine to me! LOL.
Boring. Did not wow my tastebuds. Next time I’ll try something with meat!
This was so easy to make! My kids loved it too!
Burrata at room temp is key! I skipped that once and the cheese just sat there. This time it was creamy and it tasted restaurant-level.
