Tomato Chicken Rice Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 piece Chicken
  • 2 piece Tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water. Add a pinch of salt, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18 minutes until water is absorbed and rice is tender.
  • While the rice is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken piece with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it.
  • In the same skillet, add chopped tomatoes and sautu00e9 for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Serve the cooked rice topped with sliced chicken and sautu00e9ed tomatoes.
