Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 1 piece Chicken
- 2 piece Tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water. Add a pinch of salt, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18 minutes until water is absorbed and rice is tender.
- While the rice is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken piece with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
- Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it.
- In the same skillet, add chopped tomatoes and sautu00e9 for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Serve the cooked rice topped with sliced chicken and sautu00e9ed tomatoes.
