Spiced Pan-Roasted Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 piece Chicken
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Rub it all over with olive oil.
  • Mix salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the chicken.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6–8 minutes per side (or until the skin is browned).
  • Lower the heat to medium. Cover and cook for 10–18 minutes more, turning once, until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 74°C / 165°F).
  • Rest the chicken for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
