I tried this with fresh spinach instead of frozen and it got watery. So yeah—frozen and drained is key. Otherwise 10/10 for the concept.

Does anyone else think this is kinda gross? Like, spinach in dip? Really?

Yea, but how is it vegan if it has cream cheese? Isn’t that made from milk? 🤔

Not a fan. It turned out way too creamy for me. Maybe less cream cheese next time?

Absolutely loved this! Tasted just like the real thing! Will make again for sure!

Honestly I didn’t taste much spinach. Maybe because I used chopped spinach instead of whole? Either way, it mostly tasted like mayo + lemon.

Followed the recipe exactly and it turned out super tasty. The only thing I’d change next time is maybe add a pinch more salt because my spinach was pretty bland after draining.

Why do you use vegan mayo tho? Just use real mayo! Whatever floats your boat, but I like the real deal.

Real mayo is the best! I don’t think I’d ever try this with that vegan stuff.. just feels wrong. 😅

I get what you’re saying, but vegan mayo can be a nice alternative for those who want to cut down on animal products. Plus, it’s got a different taste that’s kinda refreshing!

I’m not sure about this one. It tastes kinda weird to me. Maybe I added too much garlic?

    1. User avatar rodney.fadel says:

Weird? Seriously? I loved it! Maybe you’re just not used to vegan flavors? 🤷‍♂️

I think garlic can be a strong flavor! Maybe try using less next time? It usually taste great if you balance it right.

Spinach dip? More like spinach flop. Yikes. Guess I’m not a fan of ‘nutritional yeast’.

Seems too easy to be that good. I might try it but I don’t know about vegan mayo. Is it really that tasty?

  19. 3 stars
I tried this, but it felt like it was missing something. More seasoning maybe?

Five stars for the idea, but I’m lazy so I didn’t wait the full hour. Still tasty though—could just be better with the chilling step.

Gotta be honest, I wasn’t sure about the nutritional yeast part. It sounded kind of weird, but it actually worked pretty well!

I mean, it was okay, but I’m really not a fan of vegan mayo. Just didn’t taste right to me.

I totally get it! Vegan mayo can be hit or miss for some people. Have you tried adding a bit more lemon juice to balance the flavor?

  25. 4 stars
    Yummy dip! 🥳

  26. 3 stars
Two things: 1) 1/4 cup onion seems like a lot for me, and 2) I didn’t have nutritional yeast so I used a different seasoning and it wasn’t the same. Follow the recipe and it’ll probably be great.

    1. User avatar allen.murray4 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree on following it—nutritional yeast really is what gives it that “cheesy” vibe. And honestly 1/4 cup onion is pretty mild when it’s diced and mixed in. Might try grating the onion next time if you’re worried about it being too strong.

  27. User avatar Miss Oralia Robel says:

so good 😍—my non-vegan friend asked for the recipe. I used regular mayo by accident once and it tastes totally different… so keep it vegan!

    1. User avatar Duncan Idaho says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—regular mayo can throw the whole flavor off. I’ve done that “oops” too 😅 Love that this stays creamy and still tastes bright with the lemon.

  28. User avatar grady.wehner75 says:

Really easy to make! But I added more garlic coz we love garlic! Would Def make again.

Looks good but I would prefer to mix this with cheese. Vegan stuff is not for me.

I made this for a party, and nobody touched it. I guess not everyone likes the ‘vegan’ thing.
