Pumpkin Shaped Deviled Eggs are a fun, festive twist on the classic deviled egg, making them the perfect Halloween appetizer. These adorable little bites are shaped like pumpkins, complete with a garnish that gives them a cute and spooky vibe. With their creamy filling, subtle spices, and eye-catching presentation, these deviled eggs are sure to be a hit at any Halloween party or fall gathering.
The base of the deviled egg is the same as traditional deviled eggs – hard-boiled eggs halved and filled with a creamy mixture of egg yolks, mayonnaise, mustard, and seasoning. To create the pumpkin shape, the egg whites are scooped out in such a way that they resemble little pumpkin bodies. The creamy yolk mixture is then piped back into the hollowed-out egg whites and shaped to resemble a pumpkin. To add texture and color, you can use paprika for the pumpkin’s “lines” and a sprig of parsley, dill, or chive as the “stem” of the pumpkin.
The pumpkin shape gives these deviled eggs a playful touch while still keeping the familiar, rich taste of deviled eggs. The creamy filling contrasts with the slight crunch of the egg whites, and the mustard and spices provide a tangy kick that complements the mildness of the eggs. You can also customize the flavor by adding extras like pickle relish, hot sauce, or crumbled bacon to the filling for an extra layer of taste.
These pumpkin-shaped deviled eggs are visually striking and add a touch of whimsy to your Halloween spread. Not only are they perfect for a spooky party, but they also make for a unique and festive snack for fall gatherings or potlucks. The bite-sized portions make them easy to grab and go, and they’re sure to be a crowd-pleaser for both kids and adults alike.
Whether you’re hosting a Halloween bash, a fall brunch, or just looking to get into the seasonal spirit, Pumpkin Shaped Deviled Eggs are a fun, delicious way to celebrate the holiday. They’re simple to make, easy to customize, and the perfect mix of savory flavor and spooky charm.

Ingredients
- 6 eggs hard-boiled and peeled
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise or to taste
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika plus more for garnish
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 pinch salt to taste
- 1 pinch pepper to taste
- 12 chive pieces cut into small pieces for the pumpkin stems

- Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a bowl.
- Mash the yolks with a fork and mix in mayonnaise, mustard, paprika, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture, mounding slightly. Use the back of a spoon or a fork to create lines on the surface of the filling to mimic a pumpkin’s ribs.

- Serve chilled and enjoy your festive pumpkin-shaped deviled eggs.
These are so cute! Perfect for my Halloween party. Can’t wait to make them!
I’m so glad you think they’re cute! They will be a hit at your party! 🎃
Used too much mustard by accident, now they taste weird. Be careful with that!
Yum!! Everyone at the party loved these, even the kids! 🍽️
Glad to hear that! They look so cute! 🎃
I bet the kids just ate the chives, haha! Not sure about these… eggs in a party? Really?
Made these for a potluck and they were a hit! Everyone loved how they looked. The chives really do make them pop!
I didn’t quite get the pumpkin shape right, but they tasted great! Maybe I need more practice?
Don’t worry about the shape! As long as they taste good, that’s what matters! Practice makes perfect! 🍳
Eggs xD lol. That’s a lot of work for something no one eats :p
I think they’re cute! Deviled eggs are always a hit at parties. 🍴
Love that they are easy to make! My kids gobbled them up. Will make again!
Looks easy but my kids don’t like mustard, I wonder if mayo only will work. Anyone tried that?
These sound adorable! I can’t wait to try them for Halloween. My kids will love it too! 🎃
Are deviled eggs supposed to be cold? I prefer mine warm but I guess these are fancy or whatever.
I think deviled eggs are overrated. Why not just boil the eggs?
I get where you’re coming from, but deviled eggs have their own charm! The flavors blend so well together. Plus, they look adorable! 🎃
Boiled eggs are cool, but they ain’t fancy like this recipe. Pumpkin-shaped…sounds fun! Why not give it a try?
How many servings does this make? I need to feed a lot of people.
These are so cute! I made them for a Halloween party and everyone loved them!
So glad to hear that! They really are perfect for Halloween! 🎃
Yum! The paprika adds such a great flavor. Will definitely make these again!
These are super cute! Perfect for Halloween parties! 🎃
These are so cute! Perfect for my Halloween party. Thanks for sharing! 🎃
My kids didn’t eat them, they said they looked weird. I’m not sure if I’ll make them again.
They said it was pumpkin eggs? But I don’t see any pumpkin! 😕
OMG, these are sooooooo good! I’m going to make them every year! 😍
Tried making these and they ended up looking like blobs. But they tasted good! 😅
This is a dumb recipe. Who wants pumpkin shaped eggs? Eggs are eggs, they don’t need a gimmick.
I think it’s cute! Halloween can be fun with unique recipes like this. Give it a try!
These are adorable! Perfect for Halloween parties! 🎃
Very nice! The chive stems were a cute touch. Will make again.
I dont get why you need so many ingredients for deviled eggs? Just seems too much for a simple recipe.
Just okay. I feel like they could use more flavor. Didn’t taste much of the mustard or paprika.
Yum! These were a hit at my potluck! Everyone kept asking for the recipe!
5 stars for presentation alone. I served them at a Halloween thing and people kept taking doubles. The paprika garnish helps a lot.
Haha that’s the real test—if people come back for seconds you did it right. The paprika garnish really does sell the “pumpkin” vibe.
This is such a fun recipe! 🎃 Can’t wait to try it. Do you think I can use green onions instead of chives?
I followed the recipe exactly, but they didn’t look like pumpkins at all. Disappointing!
How do you guys get them to look so pumpkin-y? Mine just look like regular eggs. Help!
Yolk mix was too tangy for my taste. Maybe less mustard next time?
Tangy?! I thought they were just right. Maybe you put too much vinegar? 👀
I agree, the mustard can be strong! You could try mayo instead of mustard next time.
These look adorable! I used extra paprika and the “pumpkin ribs” came out way more convincing than I expected.
