Pumpkin Shaped Deviled Eggs

October 22, 2024

Pumpkin Shaped Deviled Eggs are a fun, festive twist on the classic deviled egg, making them the perfect Halloween appetizer. These adorable little bites are shaped like pumpkins, complete with a garnish that gives them a cute and spooky vibe. With their creamy filling, subtle spices, and eye-catching presentation, these deviled eggs are sure to be a hit at any Halloween party or fall gathering.

The base of the deviled egg is the same as traditional deviled eggs – hard-boiled eggs halved and filled with a creamy mixture of egg yolks, mayonnaise, mustard, and seasoning. To create the pumpkin shape, the egg whites are scooped out in such a way that they resemble little pumpkin bodies. The creamy yolk mixture is then piped back into the hollowed-out egg whites and shaped to resemble a pumpkin. To add texture and color, you can use paprika for the pumpkin’s “lines” and a sprig of parsley, dill, or chive as the “stem” of the pumpkin.

The pumpkin shape gives these deviled eggs a playful touch while still keeping the familiar, rich taste of deviled eggs. The creamy filling contrasts with the slight crunch of the egg whites, and the mustard and spices provide a tangy kick that complements the mildness of the eggs. You can also customize the flavor by adding extras like pickle relish, hot sauce, or crumbled bacon to the filling for an extra layer of taste.

These pumpkin-shaped deviled eggs are visually striking and add a touch of whimsy to your Halloween spread. Not only are they perfect for a spooky party, but they also make for a unique and festive snack for fall gatherings or potlucks. The bite-sized portions make them easy to grab and go, and they’re sure to be a crowd-pleaser for both kids and adults alike.

Whether you’re hosting a Halloween bash, a fall brunch, or just looking to get into the seasonal spirit, Pumpkin Shaped Deviled Eggs are a fun, delicious way to celebrate the holiday. They’re simple to make, easy to customize, and the perfect mix of savory flavor and spooky charm.

This is a dumb recipe. Who wants pumpkin shaped eggs? Eggs are eggs, they don’t need a gimmick.

I dont get why you need so many ingredients for deviled eggs? Just seems too much for a simple recipe.

  16. 3 stars
Just okay. I feel like they could use more flavor. Didn’t taste much of the mustard or paprika.

  17. User avatar keila.williamson28 says:

Yolk mix was too tangy for my taste. Maybe less mustard next time?

    1. User avatar suellen.murray2009 says:

      2 stars
Tangy?! I thought they were just right. Maybe you put too much vinegar? 👀

    2. User avatar belia.simonis24 says:

      4 stars
I agree, the mustard can be strong! You could try mayo instead of mustard next time.

    1. 3 stars
Are you sure kids will really like them? They gotta be picky with eggs, right? 🤔

Too much mayo for my taste. Next time I’ll use less. 🤷‍♂️

    1. 3 stars
Less mayo? Nah, I love it creamy! But to each their own, I guess. 🤷‍♀️

    2. User avatar Mrs. Jason Bergstrom says:

      4 stars
I kinda agree! Mayo can be overpowering. But maybe try Greek yogurt instead? 👌

  26. 1 star
Sounds easy, but don’t eggs need to be cooked longer? My friend says they do.
