A little too much chopping for me, but the recipe is solid. Maybe pre-diced veggies would help?

I didn’t have all the ingredients but it still turned out good enough.

That’s great to hear! Sometimes improvising can lead to the best recipes. What did you substitute?

  3. 5 stars
    Sooo good! My new favorite!

I never know which fish to use. Does it have to be white or can I use salmon?

  5. 5 stars
This sounds amazing! Can’t wait to try it!

  6. User avatar percy.kemmer42 says:

Yummy! I added some garlic bread on the side. Perfect pairing for this dish. 😍

  7. 3 stars
Honestly, I’ve tried better recipes. This one was just okay, not bad though. Kind of bland needed more spices.

  8. User avatar dean.breitenberg68 says:

    4 stars
Wow, 4 cups broth for 1 pound fish feels kinda light—like it’ll be more stew than soup. Still gonna try, looks tasty!

    1. User avatar samuel.aufderhar says:

      4 stars
I totally get what you mean, but it’ll probably turn out more like a light broth with tender fish than a thick stew. If you want it thicker, simmer a bit longer or add another splash of broth/less water next time.

  9. User avatar Slaughterfish says:

    5 stars
This soup is DELICIOUS! I never liked fish until I tried this recipe. My family can’t get enough!

    1. 5 stars
I’m so glad you loved it! I’ve been hesitant to try cooking fish but this gives me hope! 🌟

  10. 3 stars
I followed the recipe but it turned out too spicy for my taste. Maybe cut back on the cayenne?

  11. User avatar leandro.blanda86 says:

    2 stars
Why boil fish for 30 min though? I mean… fish be delicate. I’ll probably add it later next time. Recipe good but timing skeptical.

  12. 3 stars
Didn’t have some ingredients, so I used whatever I had. It turned out good but probably not authentic.

  13. User avatar jerold.friesen says:

    5 stars
Mmm, very good! Even my kids liked it and they are so picky! Five stars!

  14. User avatar jesse.prosacco40 says:

    3 stars
Not sure about 1 tsp paprika + 1/2 tsp cayenne for my taste… might be a bit spicy? Still, the flavor base looks solid.

  15. 5 stars
This is just like the soup my grandma used to make! Brings back memories!

  16. User avatar alessandra.damore43 says:

    2 stars
The steps were a bit confusing, especially where you add the fish. Could be clearer!

  17. User avatar edgar.wuckert24 says:

    2 stars
Too many veggies! I couldn’t even taste the fish. Next time I’ll just skip the peppers maybe.

  18. User avatar caleb.legros1960 says:

    3 stars
I don’t think fish and soup should ever go together. Y’all are weird. But hey, my wife loved it.

  19. User avatar candida.walker says:

    1 star
Why does it take so long to cook? Can’t I just microwave it? 😂

  20. User avatar ellis.klocko says:

    4 stars
I like that it’s pretty straightforward and doesn’t require a ton of ingredients. 30 minutes simmer seems about right for the fish too.

  21. User avatar rhona.spinka38 says:

    4 stars
Simple recipe but I used chicken instead of fish because my kids dont like fish. Still turn out good!

  22. User avatar Spider Soldier says:

    5 stars
This soup was sooo good! My family loved it! 🙌

  23. 2 stars
Sounds good but i don’t think my kids will eat it. They only like chicken… 🤷‍♂️

    1. User avatar elva.jerde64 says:

      4 stars
Have you tried getting them to help make it? Maybe they’ll like it more if they help out!

  24. User avatar leeann.corkery50 says:

    3 stars
I’m skeptical about using zucchini—like will it go mushy? But if you only simmer 30 minutes it might stay nice. Might try with thicker-cut pieces.

    1. User avatar walter.beier7 says:

      5 stars
Tbh I’d just cut the zucchini thicker like you said or even add it later, otherwise it breaks down fast. Also 30 min might be enough—don’t boil hard. Otherwise the fish could overcook too.

    2. User avatar dominique.lueilwitz says:

      4 stars
I get the zucchini-mushy worry, but in this soup it’s diced small and only simmered about 30 mins on low. I’ve done it and it kind of softens and disappears into the broth—still tasty, not slimy.

  25. 5 stars
This soup is AMAZING! So fresh and flavorful. Will definitely make again!

  26. 5 stars
Lol “fish or vegetable broth” is convenient. I used vegetable and it still tasted really good. The tomato paste step really boosts the flavor.

  27. User avatar ayako.boehm93 says:

    3 stars
I’m not sure about using white fish. Can I use salmon instead? Would that change the soup a lot?

  28. User avatar Gurney Halleck says:

    5 stars

    2 stars
Not sure if I did it right, but my fish fell apart. Is that normal?

  31. User avatar Juan Morefore DeRhode says:

    2 stars
Looks complicated, but I guess anyone can cook if they follow the steps right? 😂 Idk if I’ll try it tho.

  32. 2 stars
Why do you add the broth so late? Shouldn’t it be at the start? 🤔

    1. User avatar Blue Dartwing says:

      3 stars
Nah, I think it’s fine as is. It’s just a soup, don’t overthink it! 😂

    2. User avatar nellie.franecki1964 says:

      4 stars
I thought the same thing! But maybe adding broth later lets the veggies flavor more. 🤷‍♂️

  33. User avatar hipolito.turner says:

    5 stars
I added some lemon juice and it was a game changer! So fresh!

  34. User avatar carlton.koelpin1974 says:

Yummy! I think I could live on this soup forever! 😍

  37. User avatar elba.ankunding14 says:

It looks good, but I never had fish soup. Is it like bouillabaisse? 🤔

  38. User avatar Zarniwoop says:

Meditteranean fish soup? More like fishy water! Not my cup of tea. 😒

  39. 4 stars
Yummy! Got my kids to eat veggies too! Who knew?

    5 stars
Wow. This is sooo good. My cat even liked the smell (idk why). Will make again!!!

  41. User avatar cristopher.thiel says:

    2 stars
Not really a fan. I think it needed more seasoning. It just felt bland to me.

  42. 4 stars

    1. User avatar reid.sawayn2004 says:

    1. User avatar isaias.lind14 says:

    2. User avatar bruce.beahan11 says:

      5 stars
This sounds yummy! I love how quick it is to prepare. Will definitely try it this week!

  45. User avatar Max Quordlepleen says:

    4 stars
Wow! So easy and quick! I skipped the cayenne pepper coz I’m not good with spicy, but it turned out great anyway.

  46. User avatar reed.harvey25 says:

    5 stars
Yum! Had this for dinner last night, best soup ever!

  47. 4 stars
Not sure about the cayenne amount—1/2 tsp sounds spicy-ish. Could be great though if you like heat.

    1. User avatar wellRespected says:

      5 stars
Yeah, 1/2 tsp cayenne is definitely on the spicier side, but it’s pretty reasonable for a fish soup. I’d start there and adjust next time—more cayenne if you want heat, less if you don’t. The paprika + tomatoes help balance it.

  48. 4 stars
I made something similar before and it always comes out great. The timing seems reasonable too—especially the 30 min simmer. Definitely bookmarking.

  49. 2 stars
Why do you use cayenne? Feels like overkill. Unnecessary ingredient.

    1. 4 stars
Cayenne adds a nice kick! Don’t knock it till you try it. It really brings the soup to life. 😋

  50. 3 stars
I tried making this, but it ended up too spicy for my taste. Maybe less cayenne next time?

  51. User avatar cecile.rath88 says:

    3 stars
I made something like this once and the fish got kinda chewy. If anyone tries it, don’t overcook the fillets—watch the simmer time.

    1. User avatar rickie.goyette14 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree on not overcooking the fish—chewy is the worst. I usually add the fillets for the last ~10 minutes of simmer instead of the full 30.

  52. User avatar mike.powlowski37 says:

    4 stars
Easy to make and healthy. My kids didn’t even notice the veggies. Will make again!

  53. User avatar earl.kuvalis says:

    5 stars
5 stars! This recipe is a keeper. Perfect for cold nights, and it makes you feel healthy. 🌟

    1. 5 stars
I totally agree! This soup is so comforting. I made it last night, and it was perfect for my family. 😊

  54. User avatar wilbur.murazik85 says:

    2 stars
My kids didn’t like it, but I thought it was OK. They are picky eaters though.

  55. User avatar Pizpot Gargravarr says:

    5 stars
This sounds so cozy and bright—zucchini + peppers + tomato paste is such a good combo. I’ll definitely try it with cod or halibut. 🌊

  56. User avatar Eddie the Computer says:

    3 stars
Not sure about the cayenne—1/2 tsp seems like a lot for a soup like this. Could be great though if you like heat. Maybe start with less?

    1. 5 stars
I agree—1/2 tsp cayenne feels spicy for a soup like this. I always start with 1/4 tsp and add more at the end if needed.

    2. User avatar julianne.herman1971 says:

      3 stars
Nah, I think 1/2 tsp is fine. Cayenne isn’t like pepper flakes—works great with the tomato and paprika. If it’s too hot, just add more broth or extra tomatoes.

  57. 2 stars
Too many veggies. Fish soup should just be fish and broth. Disappointed!

  58. User avatar isaac.mccullough says:

    2 stars
Okay, question: does it matter if you use fish broth vs vegetable? I don’t have fish broth. Also, can you just skip tomato paste if you’re out?

    1. User avatar leroy.leannon1955 says:

      3 stars
Tomato paste is kinda important for thickness, so skipping it might make it taste more watery. But if you’re out, use a little extra tomato or even a spoon of ketchup—idk, just my quick fix 😅

    2. User avatar Aide Gleichner says:

      5 stars
You can totally use vegetable broth—won’t be the same “sea” flavor, but it’ll still be tasty. If you want, add a tiny squeeze of lemon at the end to brighten it up.

  59. 5 stars
Tasted like restaurant quality. Will impress my guests!

  60. User avatar hayden.weber83 says:

    4 stars
I swapped the fish for tofu and it still turned out great! Good for vegans. 🙏

  61. 3 stars
I followed the recipe but it came out kinda bland. Maybe I needed to add more spices? 🤷‍♂️

  62. User avatar winston.okuneva19 says:

    5 stars
This sounds so comforting—Mediterranean soups always hit. I like that it’s not too complicated but still flavorful.

    1. User avatar pat.beahan90 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—this sounds like the kind of soup that tastes like you simmered it all day. The veggies + paprika/cayenne combo is such a good Mediterranean vibe!

  63. 3 stars
Is this really Mediterranean? I thought it was a possibility of tomatoes in there, haha.

  64. User avatar wesley.runte1954 says:

    4 stars
Love this recipe! So easy to make and perfect for a cozy evening. I’ll be making this again!

      5 stars
I totally agree! This soup is life! Can’t believe how good it is. 😍

    2. 3 stars
Really? I thought it was too spicy! Maybe I added too much cayenne? 🤔

    5 stars
Wow, this soup was amazing! The flavors just popped! Definitely making it again. 🍲

  67. User avatar onie.moen35 says:

I used frozen fish and it was still a big hit! So easy! 😋

  68. User avatar alberta.walker6 says:

This sounds fancy but fish is yucky. Why would anyone put fish in soup? 🤢

  69. User avatar kenny.kunze2010 says:

This soup was amazing! So flavorful! I added some lemon juice at the end, and it made it even better. Will definitely make again!

    1. 5 stars
I tried this recipe too, and it was a hit! The lemon juice is a great touch! 🍋

    2. User avatar zane.koelpin36 says:

      3 stars
Sounds good, but I don’t think adding lemon is necessary. Fish has its own flavor!

  70. User avatar matthew.kuhlman41 says:

Not a fan of fish, but my husband loved it! He said it reminded him of his grandma’s cooking. 🐟

    1. User avatar lorraine.wilkinson81 says:

I don’t see how lemon makes such a difference. Seems like overkill! But whatever floats your boat.

    2. User avatar nicolas.effertz says:

That lemon twist sounds amazing! I’ll definitely try that next time. 🍋 Thanks for the tip!

I’m so glad you loved it! It’s one of my favorites too. The combination of flavors really brings it to life!

  75. 3 stars
My onion was taking forever so I kinda upped the heat… it still worked. Soup was still tasty. No complaints.

  76. User avatar launa.moore2023 says:

I found this recipe confusing. Do you really need that much parsley? I put in like two leaves! 😂

    1. User avatar Dr. Nathaniel White says:

      2 stars
Honestly, who puts that much parsley? I just don’t see the point. Maybe try cilantro instead? 🌿

    2. 4 stars
I think the parsley really adds a fresh flavor! But if you don’t like it, go with what you enjoy. 2 leaves sounds like a start! 😂

  77. User avatar madelene.marquardt says:

    3 stars
Not sure about 1/2 tsp cayenne—seems like it could overpower the fish. Maybe start with 1/4 tsp? Still, paprika and tomato paste sounds legit.

  78. User avatar Colin the Security Robot says:

    5 stars
Love the veggies in this! The tomato paste step is underrated. I’d definitely make this again.

  79. User avatar Barry Manilow says:

    5 stars
Easy and delicious! Next time I’m gonna try it with shrimp instead of fish.

    1. User avatar olen.johnson6 says:

      5 stars
Sounds great! Shrimp would be a yummy twist. Have you tried adding lemon for an extra zing?

    2. User avatar soon.hagenes says:

      2 stars
I dunno, shrimp could be too chewy in soup. Might better stick to fish.

  80. User avatar dwain.nienow68 says:

    3 stars
It was okay, but I think it needs more seasoning. Maybe a pinch of cumin next time?

  81. User avatar MAGA2024.Trumpster says:

    2 stars
Uh, I dunno. The fish kind of fell apart and I wasn’t a fan of the flavors. Not gonna try it again.

    1. User avatar Vladimir Harkonnen says:

      4 stars
I had a similar issue with the fish breaking apart! But maybe it’s just the type of fish? I used cod and it was fine. Give it another shot with a sturdier fish!

    2. User avatar marg.okeefe1964 says:

      5 stars
Everyone has different tastes, I thought it was delish! More garlic next time might help with the flavor. Don’t give up on it yet!

  82. User avatar anonymous_hacker says:

    4 stars
My kitchen tip: sauté the onion until translucent, not browned. Also I used regular vegetable broth once and it turned out fine.

  83. User avatar Hermina Barrows says:

    5 stars
Really good soup! Just enough spice! Will make again!

  84. User avatar marcos.simonis43 says:

Soup takes too long to cook. I prefer quicker recipes!

    1. User avatar natalya.schinner85 says:

      4 stars
I get that! I prefer quick meals too, but sometimes the flavors just take time. Maybe try a pressure cooker?

5/5 would recommend. This soup warms the soul. So comforting and nutritious.👌

  86. User avatar inger.price80 says:

  90. User avatar philip.feest27 says:

    1. User avatar rickiestmorty says:
