Carrot Pineapple Smoothie

August 8, 2025

If you’re looking for a drink that’s as vibrant in flavor as it is in color, a Carrot Pineapple Smoothie is a perfect choice. This refreshing blend combines the natural sweetness of carrots with the tropical tang of pineapple, creating a smoothie that’s both delicious and packed with nutrients. It’s an energizing option for breakfast, a midday pick-me-up, or even a light, healthy dessert.

Carrots provide a subtle earthy sweetness and a wealth of health benefits. They’re an excellent source of beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A, supporting eye health, immune function, and skin vitality. Pineapple, on the other hand, brings its juicy, tangy profile along with vitamin C, manganese, and bromelain, an enzyme that aids digestion. Together, they create a naturally sweet flavor without the need for added sugars.

The texture of this smoothie is wonderfully smooth and creamy when blended with a base of water, coconut water, or a plant-based milk. Adding a banana can give it extra creaminess, while a squeeze of lemon or lime juice can brighten the flavor even more. If you prefer a colder, more refreshing drink, frozen pineapple chunks or a handful of ice cubes will do the trick.

For an added boost, you can include ingredients like fresh ginger for a spicy kick, turmeric for anti-inflammatory benefits, or chia seeds for extra fiber and omega-3s. The beauty of the Carrot Pineapple Smoothie lies in its versatility, it can be tailored to suit your taste preferences or nutritional goals.

This smoothie is as appealing to the eyes as it is to the palate. Its sunny orange hue makes it a cheerful addition to your morning routine, and its combination of vitamins, antioxidants, and hydrating ingredients makes it a smart choice for anyone aiming to nourish their body while enjoying a flavorful treat.

Whether sipped slowly in the sunshine or taken on the go in a travel cup, the Carrot Pineapple Smoothie is a simple, satisfying way to add more fruits and vegetables to your day.

I didn’t have honey, so I used sugar. Still good I guess.

    1. 4 stars
Sugar works just fine! It’s all about what you have on hand. Glad you enjoyed it!

    2. User avatar jewel.champlin2005 says:

      2 stars
I dunno… honey really adds that special touch. Sugar’s just not the same.

  2. User avatar ArabianNights says:

    5 stars
Yum!!! Perfect for a hot day! I might even try with mango next time.

    1. 4 stars
Ever tried adding spinach instead? It’s good, I swear!

    4 stars
Easy to make and very tasty! I added some spinach for extra nutrients.

  4. User avatar cristi.willms50 says:

    5 stars
This was delicious! I loved how refreshing it was.

  5. 2 stars
Is this really healthy? Seems like too much sugar in it.

    1. User avatar henrietta.hayes says:

      4 stars
I think it’s actually pretty healthy! Carrots and pineapples have lots of vitamins. The honey is optional, so you can skip it if you’re worried about sugar.

  6. User avatar sharonda.boehm6 says:

    3 stars
Could you substitue the yogurt for something else? I’m lactose intolerant.

  7. User avatar rey.gerlach73 says:

    2 stars
I’m not sure about the carrot juice with pineapple. Sound weird to me.

  8. User avatar cristal.medhurst68 says:

    4 stars
Made this for my kids, they loved it! Healthy and yummy, will def make again.

  9. User avatar Barry Manilow says:

This smoothie is so refreshing! Perfect for summer!

  10. User avatar khalilah.hoppe1979 says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but I wish I could taste the pineapple more. Maybe add more?

  11. User avatar pete.conroy16 says:

    3 stars
Quick question: do you have to blend the ice first or just toss everything in? I just threw it all together and it came out kinda frothy, but still okay.

    1. User avatar oPandariaNo says:

      4 stars
I usually toss everything in together—juice + yogurt + pineapple first, then the ice. But frothy can happen if the ice blends super fast. Next time, add ice gradually or blend a little longer until it’s fully smooth.

  12. 2 stars
I dunno, mixing carrot and pineapple seems weird. Not for me.

  13. User avatar barney.robel33 says:

    5 stars
Yumm!!! So refreshing, perfect for hot days! Will make again for sure.

  14. User avatar george.auer says:

    5 stars
This smoothie is amazing! The flavors blend so well together.

  15. 2 stars
I don’t know about mixing carrot with pineapple… sounds weird.

  16. 5 stars
So easy. I blended it and drank it before my blender even finished cleaning itself (lazy version). Tastes bright and not too heavy.

  17. 2 stars
Does this really count as healthy?? It’s just fruit and sugar…

  18. 5 stars
This smoothie is absolutely delicious! The carrot and pineapple combo is pure magic! 😍

  19. User avatar Lashell Beer says:

    4 stars
I tried this recipe, but I think it needs more sweetness. Added another tablespoon of honey and it was great!

  20. User avatar liberal.hero says:

    3 stars
Way too sweet for my taste. Shouldn’t need honey with pineapple, right?

  21. 5 stars
This tastes way fresher than I expected—pineapple really brightens the carrot. I used frozen pineapple and it blended silky with the Greek yogurt. Definitely making again.

  22. User avatar darren.bradtke83 says:

    4 stars
I used almond yogurt instead and it still turned out great!

  23. User avatar rosetta.pacocha25 says:

    4 stars
So good, but I don’t have Greek yogurt, used regular yogurt and it worked fine.

    1. User avatar scott.mueller says:

      5 stars
Glad it worked out! Regular yogurt can be fun to experiment with. 🎉

    2. 3 stars
But Greek yogurt is thicker and creamier, right? Not sure if it’ll taste the same. 🤔

  24. User avatar rocco.grimes says:

    3 stars
Too much yogurt I think. I wanna taste more pineapple. 😒

  25. User avatar kimberlie.klocko1981 says:

    4 stars
My kids love this! They finish it in seconds. Healthy and delicious!

  26. User avatar melonie.larkin1956 says:

    3 stars
Healthier than my usual smoothie for sure, but the carrot juice flavor came through more than I wanted. Next time I’ll use less carrot juice or add banana to mellow it.

  27. User avatar na.dickinson says:

    5 stars
So good! The Greek yogurt makes it super creamy. Perfect for breakfast.

    1. User avatar eulah.monahan92 says:

      5 stars
I agree! The yogurt really does add a nice thickness. It’s like a smoothie hug in a glass!

  28. User avatar Malcom Dicki says:

    4 stars
Tried it today, my kids loved it! They didn’t even notice the carrots.

  29. 4 stars
Carrot juice and pineapple?? 🤨 Sounds weird but actually pretty good. Surprised!

  30. 5 stars
This smoothie is so refreshing! I love the combination of carrot and pineapple. Will make again for sure!

  31. 4 stars
My kids loved it! We added a banana and it was even better.

    1. User avatar Lucy Kutch Jr. says:

      3 stars
I dunno about adding banana, that sounds weird. But glad your kids liked it!

    2. User avatar cira.feeney40 says:

      5 stars
That sounds delicious! Bananas make everything better. I can’t wait to try it with my kids too!

  32. User avatar tyrell.leuschke says:

    3 stars
Kinda thick. Had to add more juice. But still ok.

  33. User avatar catharine.bogisich32 says:

    2 stars
I think the instructions are confusing. What if my blender ain’t powerful enough?

  34. 5 stars
    Yummy!! 🍹🍍🥕

  35. 4 stars
Why do people always add honey? Pineapples are sweet enough, just use that, ya know?

  36. 5 stars
Yummy!!! I didn’t have Greek yogurt, so I swapped in sour cream. Still delish!

    1. User avatar Galaxia Woonbeam says:

      4 stars
That sounds interesting! I might try using sour cream too.

    2. 2 stars
Wait, sour cream? Isn’t that a bit odd for a smoothie?

  37. User avatar reynaldo.bednar44 says:

    1 star
Horrible! Whole thing just tasted like carrots. Thumbs down from me!

  38. User avatar keenan.balistreri says:

    5 stars
Soo good! I added a banana for extra creaminess and it was even better!

  39. User avatar venice.bechtelar91 says:

    3 stars
I tried this recipe but it was way too sweet for my taste. I wouldn’t add honey next time.

  40. 5 stars
This smoothie is AMAZING! The flavors blend so perfectly. Will definitely make it again!

  41. User avatar sixta.kunze2000 says:

    3 stars
I don’t like yogurt, can I use milk instead? 🤔

  42. User avatar kaitlyn.corkery76 says:

    4 stars
Easy to make and healthy! Perfect for hot days.

    1. 2 stars
I dunno, isn’t carrot juice kinda weird? Pineapple’s great but carrots? 🤷‍♂️

    2. User avatar numbers.rice says:

      5 stars
I tried it and it was soooo good! Totally agree, perfect for summer. 🍍🥕

  43. User avatar jeannetta.bergstrom says:

    2 stars
Not a fan… the carrot juice texture was weird. Might stick to fruit smoothies.

  44. User avatar Andrea Schaefer says:

    4 stars
I mix the carrot pineapple smoothie when I’m feeling sick and it really helps!

  45. User avatar tyrone.kassulke says:

    2 stars
Not my favorite combo. The aftertaste feels weird to me, like “vegetable + fruit” in a way I can’t get past. Maybe I overdid the honey.

    1. User avatar dillon.carroll38 says:

      4 stars
I totally get that—carrot + pineapple can create an odd, almost “candy” aftertaste sometimes. If the honey is the culprit, I’d try skipping it completely or using way less next time (or swapping for a ripe banana).

  46. User avatar Christia Kuhic says:

    5 stars
Loved this smoothie! It’s healthy and delicious. The pineapple really balances the carrot taste!

  47. 4 stars
Super refreshing, I added a banana and it was even better! Can’t believe how healthy and yummy it is.

  48. 5 stars
Tried this today and it’s honestly super refreshing. The carrot flavor comes through just enough, and the pineapple makes it taste like a treat. I skipped the honey and it was still sweet for me.

    1. User avatar benjamin.pouros54 says:

      5 stars
Glad it worked for you! I love that pineapple-y “treat” vibe—also good call skipping the honey. I’ll try it that way next time.

  49. User avatar sadye.luettgen18 says:

    4 stars
So good! Also super easy. My kid drank it without complaining (which never happens). I used non-dairy yogurt and it still came out smooth.

    1. User avatar CTRLplusW says:

      5 stars
Right? It’s crazy how smooth it comes out—my kid will actually drink it too, which is basically a miracle 😂 I love that you swapped in non-dairy yogurt and it still worked!

  50. User avatar lynda.dicki58 says:

    2 stars
I just used whatever was in my fridge, and it tasted kinda off. Like can you use any juice?

  51. User avatar Reg Nullify says:

    5 stars
Very good!! I swapped yogurt for almond milk and it was still yum.

  52. User avatar Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz says:

    5 stars
Yum! Perfect summer drink. Will make this again! 🌞

  53. User avatar kirstie.weimann1994 says:

    5 stars
carrot+pineapple=best smoothie ever!! I’m tellin my friends about this!

    1. User avatar fredric.fadel says:

      5 stars
Totally agree! This combo is a game changer. I’ve been making it weekly now!

  54. User avatar donnie.hayes says:

    2 stars
Doesn’t feel healthy at all lol, too sweet for sure! 🥴

    1. User avatar Draugr Deathlord says:

      4 stars
I think it depends on how much honey you use. You can always skip it! 😄

  55. 3 stars
Pretty good, but my smoothie turned out a little watery. Next time I’ll use less ice or thicker yogurt.

  56. User avatar charley.pfeffer41 says:

    2 stars
    meh

  57. User avatar aron.rutherford says:

    2 stars
Tried it but didn’t like the combo of carrot and pineapple. Too weird for my taste.

  58. User avatar Cammar Pilru says:

    1 star
Sounds healthy but carrot juice is kind of yuck. Thumbs down!

    1. User avatar Lizette Bartell says:

      5 stars
I actually love carrot juice! It adds a nice earthiness. This smoothie sounds amazing!

    2. 3 stars
Carrot juice? It’s all about the pineapple! You could just skip the carrot juice, right?

  59. 3 stars
Can you sub the yogurt for something else? I’m lactose intolerant. Don’t want to ruin it 🙈

  60. User avatar Gurney Halleck says:

    2 stars
I dunno, carrot juice just sounds weird in a smoothie. Why not just use fruit?

  61. User avatar adrian.stanton69 says:

    5 stars
Simple recipe but so good! All my kids loved it!!! Will be our new morning drink!

  62. 5 stars
This is perfect for summer! I love how it’s healthy but still tastes like a treat!

  63. User avatar bryanna.mayer90 says:

    3 stars
3 starz. Idk this felt kinda bland, wish it had more flavor or spice.

    1. User avatar wilfredo.pacocha1987 says:

      4 stars
I can see why you felt that way! Maybe try adding some ginger or mint next time for a kick.

  64. User avatar meri.schaefer says:

    3 stars
I tried this but it was way too sweet for me, even with just the honey. Maybe less fruit next time.

  65. User avatar nathanael.ryan says:

    2 stars
Eww, never thought carrots could taste like this. I expected it to be sweeter… Not for me.

    1. User avatar humberto.upton92 says:

      4 stars
I think it’s all about personal taste! Carrots do have a natural sweetness, but they can taste different depending on how you prep them. Maybe try adding more honey next time?

  66. User avatar NAFO.SUPREMACY says:

    5 stars
So delicious! I made it for breakfast and it was a hit! 🤤

  67. 5 stars
    Best smoothie EVER!!!

  68. User avatar mitchell.gutkowski83 says:

    3 stars
Isn’t pineapple supposed to be bad for your teeth? I’m not sure about this recipe. But I guess it’s fine??

  69. 2 stars
I followed it exactly and it tasted flat. Maybe my pineapple was bland. More honey helped but then it got too sweet.

    1. User avatar reynaldo.paucek81 says:

      4 stars
Ugh, I get that. Carrot juice can be kinda earthy and the pineapple is doing most of the flavor work—if the pineapple is bland it’ll come out flat. I’ve had better luck adding a pinch of salt or a squeeze of lemon instead of more honey (less risk of getting syrupy).

    2. User avatar basementDweller says:

      3 stars
Maybe your pineapple just wasn’t ripe? Pineapple can taste like water sometimes. I would try adding ginger or even just a small bit more yogurt/ice to balance… also honey does make it sweeter fast, so you’re not wrong.

  70. User avatar Ryuu Shenlong says:

    2 stars
Not my favorite. I think the carrots overpowered the pineapple.

    1. User avatar MAGA2024.Trumpster says:

      5 stars
I loved it! The carrots added a nice earthy taste to the smoothie! Maybe you just used too many carrots?

  71. User avatar steven.schowalter says:

    4 stars
Just threw everything in the blender and it turned out great! No idea how to cook but this is easy.

  72. 4 stars
Super refreshing! I added some spinach as well, turned out great!

    1. 5 stars
Sounds delicious! Never thought of adding spinach, that’s a clever idea.

    2. User avatar erlinda.haley15 says:

      3 stars
Spinach? Really? I dont know about that, but glad it worked for you.

  73. User avatar janean.cronin2001 says:

    4 stars
I used frozen pineapple and it still came out super smooth. I skipped the honey and it was plenty sweet for me.

  74. 3 stars
For a “healthy” drink, it’s pretty sweet. I wish there was an option to make it lower sugar without losing the flavor.

    1. User avatar dan.robel96 says:

      5 stars
Totally get that—mine was sweet too. I usually skip the honey entirely since pineapple already brings a lot of sweetness. If it still tastes off, add a tiny bit more yogurt instead of more honey.

  75. 3 stars
Pineapples don’t actually grow on trees, just saying! 🤔 Anyway, smoothie was okay.

    1. 5 stars
That’s true! They grow from the ground like a big ol’ plant. I loved the smoothie though! 🍍🥕

    2. User avatar lester.haag50 says:

      3 stars
I dunno, I think it tastes way better with more honey. Pineapple needs that sweetness! 🤷‍♂️

  76. User avatar donnie.glover says:

    5 stars
Y’all, this is the bomb! Who knew carrots and pineapple would be such a great combo?

  77. User avatar angel.breitenberg2008 says:

    3 stars
I dunno… it sounds kinda weird. Carrots and pineapple? But I guess I’ll give it a shot.

  78. User avatar Gurney Halleck says:

    5 stars
Yum! But can you use canned carrot juice? Just wondering if it would taste the same.

  79. User avatar lucille.kovacek13 says:

    2 stars
I tried this, but it didn’t taste right. Maybe I added too much yogurt? Not sure.

  80. User avatar Meriadoc Brandybuck says:

    1 star
Smoothie? More like mushy! Couldn’t even drink it, it was too thick. 😩

    1. User avatar remona.lakin85 says:

      4 stars
I think it depends on how much ice you add! I love mine thick, but if you want it thinner, just add less ice. 😊

  81. User avatar carroll.reinger24 says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have Greek yogurt so I used coconut yogurt—still good, but it was sweeter and a bit thicker. Would recommend if you like coconut vibes.

  82. User avatar roxanna.ebert25 says:

    4 stars
I think the carrot juice is key—bottled might taste different. Mine was a little too earthy, so I added a splash more pineapple and it improved a lot.

  83. User avatar Michael83 says:

    2 stars
1 cup carrot juice is a lot… I think I accidentally poured more and it was like drinking orange soup lol. Still, not bad.

    1. User avatar Pizpot Gargravarr says:

      4 stars
Haha “orange soup” is exactly how my blender creations feel sometimes 😂 But honestly carrot juice can be strong—glad it still came out decent!

    2. User avatar eleanore.schroeder says:

      3 stars
I dunno, 1 cup carrot juice seems like it would be too earthy. Maybe cut it to 1/2 cup? Also you said it was like orange soup—sounds like it might’ve been more than just the juice amount.

  84. User avatar efren.brown says:

    2 stars
I followed it exactly and it tasted super “healthy” in a way I’m not a fan of. Maybe I used bottled carrot juice that was less sweet. Would try with fresh next time.

  85. User avatar charline.huels13 says:

    4 stars
Not gonna lie, carrot juice in a smoothie sounds kinda weird… but it actually works. The flavor is surprisingly balanced.

    1. User avatar steve_maga says:

      5 stars
Honestly I was skeptical too—carrot just sounds like it should be a juice or soup thing. But pineapple really covers it. I’ll try adding a little ginger next time for extra kick.

  86. User avatar Piter De Vries says:

    4 stars
Okay wow—this surprised me. I didn’t think carrot juice would work with pineapple + yogurt, but it’s creamy and bright. Next time I might add a pinch of ginger.

  87. User avatar fletcher.dibbert says:

    5 stars
Great quick breakfast. I add a pinch of ginger sometimes and it makes it taste more alive—highly recommend.

    1. 5 stars
Love this combo! I’ve been doing carrot + pineapple for a while, but adding a pinch of ginger sounds like the missing “kick.” Definitely trying it next time—quick and fresh.

  88. 2 stars
Carrot juice in a smoothie feels kinda odd… like why not just juice carrots straight? I guess it’s fine if you’re into that sweet-veggie thing, but I’m not convinced.

  89. User avatar lewis.parker90 says:

    5 stars
This is such a refreshing combo—sweet but not too heavy. The carrot juice + pineapple tastes way better than I expected.

  90. User avatar Draugr Scourge says:

    5 stars
This smoothie is soooo refreshing! Perfect for summer!

  91. User avatar craig.pollich says:

    3 stars
Mine turned out a little too thick even with extra ice. I think my pineapple was more frozen than expected. Still good though—just needed more blending and a splash of water.

    1. User avatar Hillman Hunter says:

      5 stars
That makes sense—if the pineapple chunks were more frozen than the ice, the blender can’t get it as smooth. A splash of water (or even a little extra carrot juice) usually fixes the thickness. Glad it was still good!

  92. User avatar Willian Hegmann says:

    4 stars
Loved the color! I added a little extra honey because my pineapple was kinda tart, and it nailed the balance. Super quick breakfast.

  93. 5 stars
Kids actually drank it 😅 I was shocked. I didn’t add honey at all and it was sweet enough with frozen pineapple. Will keep this in rotation.

    1. User avatar glenna.feeney3 says:

      5 stars
Awesome! 😄 I’m always amazed when smoothies work without extra honey—frozen pineapple really does the heavy lifting. Glad it’s a keeper!

  94. User avatar chandra.ruecker1988 says:

    4 stars
So easy. Blend, drink, done. I love when recipes don’t make me do a bunch of steps.

    1. User avatar alita.zulauf says:

      5 stars
Yes! That’s exactly how smoothies should be—dump it in, blend, done. 🍍🥕 I made this and it was super refreshing.
