Beef and Broccoli Noodles

January 14, 2025

Beef and broccoli noodles is a comforting and flavorful dish that combines tender beef, crisp broccoli, and hearty noodles in a savory, flavorful sauce. This dish is an easy and satisfying meal that brings together the umami-rich flavors of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger, creating a stir-fry that’s both aromatic and filling. It’s a perfect choice for a quick weeknight dinner or a special meal that will impress your family or guests.

The key to beef and broccoli noodles is in the sauce. A mixture of soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and a splash of rice vinegar creates a savory, slightly sweet sauce that perfectly coats the beef, broccoli, and noodles. A touch of ginger and garlic adds warmth and depth, while a dash of sesame oil gives the dish a rich, nutty finish. The sauce is cooked until it thickens slightly, allowing it to cling to the beef and vegetables.

To start, the beef is thinly sliced against the grain, which helps it stay tender during cooking. The beef is then stir-fried in hot oil until it’s browned and cooked through. The broccoli is added next, along with a splash of water or broth to steam it lightly while still keeping its crisp texture. Once the broccoli is bright green and tender, the cooked noodles are added to the pan, followed by the sauce, which ties everything together in a beautiful, glossy coating.

The noodles used in this dish can be anything from rice noodles to egg noodles, depending on your preference. The noodles absorb the savory sauce, making each bite flavorful and satisfying. The beef and broccoli provide protein and crunch, while the noodles offer comfort and substance, making this a well-rounded meal.

Beef and broccoli noodles are a quick and versatile dish. You can easily customize it by adding other vegetables, such as bell peppers, mushrooms, or carrots, to suit your taste. It’s a perfect dish for those who love savory stir-fries with a balance of textures, making it a go-to recipe that’s sure to please everyone at the table.

Tried this recipe. The flavors are good, but I found it a bit too salty. Next time, I will reduce the soy sauce.

I found the noodles too sticky. Maybe I cooked them wrong? 3 stars.

How come most recipes say low-sodium soy sauce? Isn’t soy sauce already salty? 🤔

    1. User avatar delphine.barton1963 says:

      4 stars
Yeah, soy sauce is salty, but low-sodium one just means it’s less salty. It’s for people who gotta watch their salt! 😊

Maybe you didn’t cook the cornstarch long enough? It needs time to thicken!
