Ingredients
- 1 piece Chicken
- 1 cup Rice
- 1 piece Carrots
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Season the chicken piece with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Add the seasoned chicken to the pan and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- While the chicken is cooking, rinse the rice under cold water.
- Once the chicken is browned, add the rice to the pan along with 2 cups of water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover the pan.
- Cook for about 15 minutes until the rice is tender and the chicken is fully cooked.
- Meanwhile, peel and slice the carrot.
- In the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the sliced carrot on top of the rice.
- Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve the chicken and rice with the carrots on the side.
