Spicy Chicken and Rice with Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 piece Chicken
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 piece Carrots
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

Instructions

  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken piece with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to the pan and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  • While the chicken is cooking, rinse the rice under cold water.
  • Once the chicken is browned, add the rice to the pan along with 2 cups of water.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover the pan.
  • Cook for about 15 minutes until the rice is tender and the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Meanwhile, peel and slice the carrot.
  • In the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the sliced carrot on top of the rice.
  • Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve the chicken and rice with the carrots on the side.
