Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 2 piece Tomatoes
- 50 g Cheese
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Oregano
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the rinsed rice and toast for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add 2 cups of water (or broth) to the pot, along with 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until rice is cooked.
- While the rice is cooking, chop the tomatoes into small pieces.
- Once the rice is done, remove from heat and stir in the chopped tomatoes and 50 grams of cheese until melted.
- Season with black pepper, garlic powder, and oregano to taste.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.
