Spicy Sausage Pizza Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 100 g Pepper jack cheese
  • 100 g Refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to the cooked sausage and stir to combine.
  • Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  • Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Grate or slice the pepper jack cheese and distribute it evenly over the sausage.
  • Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log and pinch the seams to seal it.
  • Cut the rolled dough into even pieces, about 1 inch thick, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
