Braised Pig Feet with Cabbage and Potato Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 g pig feet
  • 1 g cabbage
  • 1 g potato salad
  • 1 g corn bread
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 2 pieces bay leaves

Instructions

  • Begin by cleaning the pig feet thoroughly under cold water.
  • In a large pot, place the pig feet and cover them with water.
  • Add the bay leaves, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to the pot.
  • Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover the pot and let it cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours until the pig feet are tender.
  • While the pig feet are cooking, finely chop the cabbage and set aside.
  • In the last 30 minutes of cooking the pig feet, add the chopped cabbage to the pot.
  • Cook until the cabbage is tender and the pig feet are cooked through.
  • Serve the braised pig feet and cabbage with a side of potato salad and warm corn bread.
