Blend it until smooth, strain if you prefer a pulp-free drink, and pour it over more ice. For an extra touch of elegance, garnish with a mint sprig or a small wedge of watermelon on the rim of the glass. If you’re hosting, you can even add a splash of sparkling water or a hint of honey, depending on your taste.

This drink is a favorite at picnics, pool parties, or as a midday pick-me-up when you want something hydrating and flavorful without turning to sugary sodas. Easy to make but not sure if I like mint in my drink…@_@

  2. 3 stars
This is very simple. I dunno, feels like just blended watermelon. But the lemon garnish makes it look fancy, so… 4 cups watermelon is a lot though.

    1. User avatar Siona Atreides says:

      5 stars
Nah, it’s not just watermelon. Mint cuts the sweetness and makes it taste cooler. I always add a squeeze of lemon inside the blender too, not only as garnish.

    2. User avatar bertram.weber says:

      4 stars
I get what you mean—it’s basically a blended watermelon drink, but the mint + lemon lift it a lot. 4 cups sounds like a ton though, unless you’re making a couple big glasses!

  3. User avatar marivel.veum1969 says:

    5 stars
I made this for brunch and everyone kept asking what was in it. The mint + watermelon combo is legit. I added just a tiny bit of sugar and it was spot on.

  4. User avatar james.lockman67 says:

    3 stars
I don’t like mint, what can I use instead? Maybe basil?

  5. User avatar ivette.sawayn1983 says:

    4 stars
Easy and tasty. My kids enjoyed it! Can I use frozen watermelon?

  6. 4 stars
Why would you put mint in watermelon like—does it even go? lol. I tried it and now I’m kinda converted.

  7. User avatar laverne.jaskolski72 says:

    2 stars
Mine turned watery fast—maybe I used too much ice. Next time I’ll add less ice cubes or blend with less water/ice? Good idea, just needs tweaks.

  8. 1 star
I don’t see the point of mint in a drink. Just watermelon is fine. Not for me.

  9. User avatar jeff.sawayn49 says:

    5 stars
OMG this is my new favorite drink!!! I even added a splash of rum 😉

  10. User avatar raleigh.rohan says:

Watermelon and mint? Sounds weird. But I guess it could work. I’ll give it a try.

I thought the same at first, but trust me, it really works! Try it out just once!

  12. 5 stars
So refreshing! I used fresh mint and didn’t add sugar since my watermelon was sweet—perfect on a hot day. The lemon wedge at the end really brightened it up.

  13. User avatar Dudley Murphy says:

    5 stars
Delicious! Will make again for my BBQ!

    1. 2 stars
Watermelon? Mint? That’s just odd. I stick to my plain ol’ lemonade.

    2. User avatar bruno.mccullough37 says:

      5 stars
I was skeptical too, but this combo is actually refreshing! Perfect for summer.

  18. 4 stars
Easy to make and it looks super pretty in the glass. I used frozen watermelon though, and it came out a little more slushy than “smooth,” but still delicious.

  19. User avatar Sand-Dial says:

    5 stars
This recipe is so simple. Even my kids helped make it! A hit in our family. 😊

  20. User avatar kraig.kassulke says:

Watermelons are overrated. This drink ain’t that special. Just my opinion.

  21. User avatar louisa.konopelski1959 says:

    1 star
Y’all? How can you drink this? It’s like a smoothie for kids. 🤔

  22. User avatar oPandariaNo says:

    3 stars
Can you use frozen watermelon instead? Mine were too ripe and I was scared to use them.

    1. User avatar Loonquawl says:

      4 stars
Yeah, frozen watermelon should work fine! Just be sure to blend it well since it might be a bit icy. I’m sure it’ll taste great!

  23. User avatar karl.rohan80 says:

    2 stars
Mint is overpowering if you’re not careful. I added more mint than the recipe once and it tasted like toothpaste a bit 😅. Follow the measurements and it’ll be fine.

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree—mint can go from refreshing to toothpaste real fast 😅 I usually start with half the mint and taste as I go.

  24. User avatar augustus.schultz says:

    4 stars
So simple, yet delicious! I added a splash of soda for some fizz. Yum!

  25. User avatar krysten.abbott76 says:

    2 stars
I tried this recipe but it didn’t turn out as I thought. The mint was too strong for me.

    1. 4 stars
I get that! Mint can be really overpowering sometimes. Maybe try using less next time?

  26. User avatar bruno.halvorson6 says:

    2 stars
Wasn’t impressed. It just tasted like blended watermelon, nothing special.

  27. User avatar darleen.stroman says:

    5 stars
Refreshing and light! I love it! 🍉💖

  28. User avatar anibal.rice53 says:

    3 stars
Why would you add sugar? Watermelon is already sweet! I’m gonna make it without.

  29. 4 stars
I added a bit of lime juice, made it even better! 🙌

  30. User avatar marlon.dickinson12 says:

    1 star
Too much work for a drink! Just eat the watermelon instead!! 🤷‍♂️

  31. User avatar wei.braun42 says:

    3 stars
Can I use mint extract instead? I’m not sure if that will work.

  32. 3 stars
I tried making this, but it was too sweet for my taste. Maybe next time I’ll skip the sugar.

  33. User avatar jon.stokes61 says:

    3 stars
I tried this but it was too sweet for me, even without the sugar. Next time I’ll skip the sugar altogether.

  34. User avatar sommer.pfeffer65 says:

    5 stars
5 stars! I made this for friends and everyone asked for the recipe. Also it looks fancy in the glass even though it’s super easy.

    1. User avatar kyra.kuvalis82 says:

      5 stars
Love this—easy but looks like a fancy bar drink. I’ll try it with a lemon wedge garnish too!

  35. User avatar dinorah.robel62 says:

    2 stars
Is this really a recipe? Just blend some watermelon. Not impressed.

    1. 4 stars
I get what you mean, but sometimes simple is better! Perfect drink for a hot day, trust me!

    2. 2 stars
Blend some fruit? Seems lazy to me. A real recipe should have more steps. What’s next? Just pour a soda?

  36. User avatar cassi.kutch95 says:

    4 stars
I’m not a fan of watermelon, but this cooler was surprisingly good! Just the right sweetness.

    1. 3 stars
Surprising! I don’t like watermelon either but thought it was too watery. Maybe I’ll give it another shot.

    2. User avatar kermit.treutel says:

      4 stars
That’s awesome to hear! I thought it was too sweet at first but maybe I just had a ripe watermelon. Glad you liked it!

  37. User avatar donnie.hettinger says:

    4 stars
Good idea, but I found the lemon wedges overpowering if you use too much. Next time I’ll do a tiny squeeze instead of heavy garnish.

  38. 3 stars
This is a nice idea, but blending ice cubes made it watery for me. I’d recommend using more ice or blending less so it stays thicker. Flavor was good regardless.

  39. User avatar jenell.ferry says:

    5 stars
This was super refreshing! Perfect for summer days. 🌞

  40. User avatar kenneth.zulauf63 says:

    5 stars
So easy to make! My kids loved it! Will definitely make again!

  41. 3 stars
Not sure about the lemon wedges with mint and watermelon. It feels a bit like it clashes? I tried it anyway and it was okay, just not my favorite.

  42. User avatar amira.sipes2009 says:

    5 stars
This is so refreshing! Perfect for summer BBQs. I can’t get enough of it!

  43. 1 star
    I don’t have a blender, can I mix it by hand? 😂

  44. User avatar martin.gutmann33 says:

    5 stars
Yum!!! I added lime instead of lemon, and it was bomb!

  45. User avatar felton.steuber says:

    3 stars
It’s tasty, but 1/4 cup mint felt like a lot for me—kinda strong. Maybe halve it if you’re not a mint person.

  46. User avatar walker.oconnell says:

    5 stars
This looks refreshing! Perfect for summer. 🌞

  47. User avatar ardella.mayer56 says:

    3 stars
Eh, I didn’t love it. Way too watery for my taste. 🤷‍♂️

  48. User avatar mariano.wintheiser2017 says:

    2 stars
Too simple for me. I need more flavors… maybe some rum next time?

  49. User avatar michael.zulauf1970 says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have mint, so I used basil instead… tasted weird, lol. Still kinda liked it though.

    1. User avatar daren.white95 says:

      4 stars
Basil in a watermelon drink? That’s a bold choice! I’ve never tried it, but I bet it adds a unique flavor. Got any other weird swaps you’ve done?

    2. User avatar zachariah.rice says:

      3 stars
Weird combo! Mint is minty and basil is more herby. Gotta stick with the recipe next time, lol. Just my 2 cents.

  50. User avatar Jae Goldner says:

    5 stars
This was a hit at my summer party! So refreshing and easy to make. Will definitely make again!

  51. 2 stars
Not sure about this recipe. Watermelon and mint? Seems odd.

    1. User avatar liberal.hero says:

    5 stars
WATER + MINT = SODA? Crazyyy! Lmao, I love making drinks in blender, this one’s a keeper!

  58. 2 stars
Not my thing. Too watery? Maybe I blended it too long or something.

  59. 5 stars
Delicious! Made it for a BBQ and everyone asked for the recipe!

  60. User avatar stacy.bailey69 says:

    3 stars
I tried it but it was too sweet for me. I skipped the sugar. 😕

  61. User avatar eddy.simonis1984 says:

    5 stars
Tried it with honey instead of sugar, yum!

  62. User avatar aubrey.smith says:

    4 stars
Watermelon + mint = best combo ever! I added a splash of lime juice too.

  63. 3 stars
Not bad, but I thought it could use more mint. It was a bit too sweet for my taste too.

  64. User avatar angelena.klocko1958 says:

    4 stars
I followed the steps and blended it too long at first, and it got a little too foamy. Once I short-cycled the blender it was perfect.

  65. User avatar Mr. Mei Walter says:

    3 stars
Looks cool, but watermelon is not my thing. Using strawberries instead sounds better?

  66. User avatar darlena.keebler1966 says:

    4 stars
I made it without the sugar, and it was still good! Minty and sweet from the watermelon.

  67. User avatar georgeann.hahn18 says:

    5 stars
Tried it with a little extra sugar because my watermelon was kinda tart, and wow—way better than plain juice. Would make again for sure.

    1. User avatar MrsLucyG says:

      5 stars
Ooh that makes sense—tart watermelon is such a gamble. Glad the extra sugar worked! 🍉🌿

    2. User avatar Dominic Vernius says:

      3 stars
I did it but i didnt have mint so i used basil… tasted weird to me 😅 still maybe good with proper mint?

  68. 2 stars
Honestly I don’t get the hype. Watermelon + mint is fine, but it’s kinda just… water tasting sweet? Maybe my mint was stale.

  69. 5 stars
Watermelon and mint? Who thought of this?! Sooo good!! This became my new favorite drink when chillin’ with friends.

  70. User avatar amos.ledner17 says:

    5 stars
This is so refreshing! I made it for a summer BBQ and everyone loved it! 🌞

  71. User avatar Fred Schaefer says:

    3 stars
Sounds too simple, I thought it’d be more complicated. But it actually tastes good if you know your fruit!

  72. 2 stars
I didn’t have fresh mint, so I used dried. It didn’t taste the same at all! Lessons learned.

  73. User avatar joe.nolan says:

    5 stars
This is exactly the kind of drink I crave in summer—super refreshing and not too fussy. The mint really makes it feel “clean” and the lemon garnish is a nice touch.

  74. User avatar Wonko the Sane says:

    3 stars
Not gonna lie, I didn’t taste much mint. I think my mint leaves were old or I didn’t add enough. Still tasty though—more like a watermelon slush.

    1. User avatar aleida.veum26 says:

      3 stars
lol yeah if the mint was old that’ll do it. Maybe next time use peppermint or just add mint extract? Watermelon slush sounds about right though.

    2. User avatar Ilban Richese says:

      5 stars
I get that—mint can totally disappear if the leaves aren’t super fresh. I usually muddle the mint for a few seconds (or add a bit more) before blending. Also, the ice can dilute the flavor a lot.

  75. 3 stars
Wait—do you blend the ice cubes with the watermelon? I tried once without enough ice and it tasted more like smoothie than cooler.

  76. 5 stars
WOW! Just made this for a picnic. So easy and tasty! Definitely making again. ❤️

  77. 5 stars
    Delicious!! 😍👌

    1. User avatar deon.blanda says:

      5 stars
I’m so glad you liked it! It’s the perfect summer refreshment. 🍉✨

  78. User avatar Blue Dartwing says:

    3 stars
Huh, do you really need sugar? Watermelon is already sweet. Idk about this recipe.

    1. User avatar nelly.olson51 says:

      4 stars
I thought the same thing! Watermelon is sweet on its own, but maybe the sugar adds a bit more depth? 🤷‍♀️

  79. User avatar sherrill.mcdermott67 says:

    2 stars
This recipe is just dumb. How can you call it a cooler without alcohol? 🤔

  80. User avatar Mrs. Grady Ward says:

    4 stars
I used bottled lemon juice (don’t judge lol) and it still tasted bright. The texture was smooth even without straining.

  81. User avatar keven.paucek1988 says:

    5 stars
This was super refreshing! Perfect for a hot day. Will definitely make it again!

  82. User avatar rich.landlord says:

I didn’t have mint, so used basil instead. Still turned out great! 😂

    1. User avatar wendell.walter2021 says:

      5 stars
Basil?? That’s a bold move! 😂 I would never have thought of that, but I’m glad it worked out for you!

    2. User avatar gayle.strosin55 says:

      3 stars
Not sure basil is the same tho. Mint gives it a special taste! 🤔

  83. 5 stars
I made this for a party and everyone loved it! So easy to make!

  84. User avatar brenton.strosin80 says:

    4 stars
Pretty good and super easy. I blended a little too long and it got kinda foamy, but it still tasted great. Next time I’ll pulse instead of blending steady.

  85. User avatar freeman.tromp says:

    5 stars
So refreshing! The mint + lemon garnish combo is honestly perfect for hot days. I skipped the sugar and it still tasted great.

  86. User avatar domingo.hermiston2006 says:

    5 stars
I tried it with frozen watermelon instead of fresh and it came out amazing—thick and cold without needing much extra sugar. Definitely making again.
