Tamarind paste can vary so muchāthis could be great or way too intense depending on brand. Mine was super tangy and I had to doctor it.
Tasted ok, but my family didn’t like it. Maybe too sour? I think I’ll stick with lemonade nex time.
Okay, this was fun to make! I used a lime soda instead of sparkling water by mistake and it was DELISH!
That sounds like a great twist! Lime soda must’ve added a nice sweetness. I’ll have to try that next time!
Yummy drink! Real easy to make and got all my friends talking about it! š¹š
Just tried it and meh. Too many flavors fighting eachother, I think. š¤Ø
I didnāt have tamarind paste, so I used ketchup instead. It wasnāt as good. Donāt recommend that! š
Amazing! Added some mint leaves too, and it was refreshing! Going to make for my party this weekend.
Yum yumm! I seriously slurped it down too fast. Totally making it daily! š
Not bad, but the tamarind paste was super strong in my brand. I think the sugar amount depends a lot on how sour it isātweak it.
Tried this for a hot day and it worked way better than I expected. Next time I might add a pinch of salt for extra pop.
So glad it worked! Iāve been doing something similarāif you add a little salt, just go easy since tamarind can already be pretty punchy. š
Why do you need sugar if lime is already sour? Seems pointless to me. š¤
I dunno about this one. It sounds weird mixing tamarind with sparkling water. By the way, isnāt tamarind used for Indian cooking?
I was skeptical too, but it’s actually super refreshing! Tamarind is great outside of Indian cooking, itās used in drinks in many cultures. Give it a try!
So refreshing! The tamarind + lime combo is exactly the kind of sweet-tangy balance I like. I used a little less sugar and it still tasted great.
Yes! That sweet-tangy balance is the whole point š Iāve also found you can cut the sugar a bit depending on how tart your tamarind is.
This is just like what my grandma used to make! Brings back memories. Thanks for sharing! ā¤ļø
Looks good but I’m not sure about tamarind. It’s kinda weird, isnāt it? Does it really taste like that?
I made this last week and it was a hit! Just like my nan used to make too. Thanks for the recipe!
This drink is sooo tasty! I never expected tamarind and lime to work so well together. Definitely my new fav!
Seems simple which I love, but 3 tbsp tamarind paste might be too much for some palates. Mine was strong, though still tasted good after stirring well.
Not gonna lie, I expected it to be more sour, but it ended up nicely balanced. The sparkling water makes it feel light instead of heavy. Good summer sipper.
That sounds perfect for summerābalanced and not too sharp. I never thought sparkling water would make tamarind feel ālight,ā but I get it. Gonna try this!
I donāt think tamarind is for me. This was really weird; kind of a funky taste. Iāll stick to lemonade!
I get what you mean! Tamarind can be quite unique, but it’s worth trying a few more times. Maybe mix it with something else? š¤
This is a pretty good mocktail, but mine got cloudy after stirring the sparkling water. Still drinkable, just looked weird.
Just tasted like sweet-sour lemonade⦠Iām not impressed. Might be better with actual tamarind pulp? But overall meh for me.
Totally get youāmine also tastes more like sweet-sour lemonade than anything ātamarind-yā at first. Iāve found using a bit more tamarind paste (or even thinning real tamarind pulp) helps bring the deeper flavor through. Also, did you stir right after adding the sparkling water? If it sits, it can mellow.
