Jack Skellington Oreo Pops

October 28, 2024

Jack Skellington Oreo Pops are the perfect Halloween treat for fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas and anyone looking to add some spooky fun to their dessert table. These simple, yet striking pops combine the classic Oreo cookie with a Jack Skellington-inspired design, making them both festive and delicious. With their iconic black and white colors, these pops are as easy to make as they are to enjoy.

The process starts with dipping Oreo cookies in melted white chocolate or candy melts, which forms the base for the pops. Once coated, the cookies are placed on sticks, transforming them into pops that are perfect for Halloween parties, themed events, or just a fun seasonal treat. The white coating gives them a clean, striking look that mimics Jack Skellington’s face.

To create the signature Jack Skellington face, you can use black edible markers or melted dark chocolate to draw his spooky eyes, nose, and crooked smile. This simple decoration gives each pop its unique personality, making them a fun, creative way to celebrate Halloween.

For extra flair, you can also add sprinkles, edible glitter, or even a few candy accents around the edges. These pops are not only adorable but are also a great activity for kids or a fun family baking project. They are perfect for individual servings and are easy to grab, making them ideal for parties or classroom treats.

Jack Skellington Oreo Pops are a delicious, easy-to-make treat that delivers on both fun and flavor. The combination of the crunchy Oreo, smooth chocolate coating, and the spooky design makes these pops a hit at any Halloween celebration. Whether you’re serving them at a party, handing them out as favors, or enjoying them at home, these treats bring both charm and a little bit of Halloween magic to the table.

Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 10 Oreos Double Stuf preferred for easier placement on sticks.

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional, for chocolate thinning
  • 10 lollipop sticks
  • 1 tube black decorating gel for drawing faces

I don’t know. Kind of a hassle for just cookies, right? Why not just eat the Oreos?

  12. 2 stars
Not bad, but I feel like the gel faces are hard to draw. I couldn’t make it look like Jack. :/

Tried this recipe and lost half the chocolate. It was melting everywhere! Tips?

    1. User avatar NAFO.SUPREMACY says:

      3 stars
Ugh, that sounds frustrating! Did you use too much chocolate? I always have issues with it too.

    2. User avatar lenny.quitzon says:

      4 stars
Maybe let the melted chocolate cool a bit before dipping? It might help with melting all over.

Super easy and fun! I love Jack Skellington, and these Oreo pops are a hit at the party. Will make again!

  25. 2 stars
Wait, you are supposed to melt it? I just dunked them in the chocolate directly. Why did I not think of this?

  26. 3 stars
I got confused on the coconut oil part. What does that do? But overall, not bad.

    1. User avatar Dominic Vernius says:

      2 stars
Honestly, I don’t get why you need coconut oil. Seems like a fancy add-on but it’s just chocolate at the end of the day!

    2. User avatar clifton.zieme says:

      4 stars
Coconut oil helps thin out the chocolate, makes it smoother for dipping! Don’t worry, it’s still tasty without it too.

  27. User avatar rowena.moore48 says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have black gel, so I used chocolate sprinkles instead. Still turned out tasty, but not very spooky!

    1. User avatar francesco.hirthe26 says:

      2 stars
But like, how’d you think chocolate sprinkles would look like Jack Skellington? Kinda not spooky at all 🤷‍♂️

    2. User avatar Fenchurch says:

      5 stars
That’s a clever swap! Chocolate sprinkles can be fun too. Love your creativity!

Uhh, can you use regular Oreos? Or it has to be Double Stuf? Help!

    1. User avatar Hotblack Desiato says:

      4 stars
Regular Oreos should work fine too! Just might be a bit harder to stick together, but give it a go!

  33. 3 stars
Pretty good but mine didn’t turn out like the pictures. Maybe I need practice. 🙁

    2. 3 stars
I tried these but my chocolate wouldn’t harden right… Not sure what I did wrong. Anyone got tips?

  46. 1 star
I think it’s just a waste to use all that chocolate for Oreos. Why not just eat them plain?

  47. 3 stars
I don’t get it. What’s with the coconut oil? Is that necessary?

  48. User avatar Brand-shei says:

    1 star
Real difficult for someone like me. I ended up eating the Oreos instead of decorating them. 🤣

    1. User avatar stanton.senger says:

      5 stars
Haha, I get you! Decorating is tough. Oreos are delicious just as they are! 🍪

    1. User avatar Max Quordlepleen says:

      4 stars
I get it! The steps do seem like a lot, but it’s actually really fun to make them yourself! You could try it just once!

  52. 3 stars
Oreo sticks? Aren’t they just cookies? This recipe seems strange to me.

    1. User avatar fred.baumbach2006 says:

Yummy! But can I use regular Oreos? What’s the diff?

  60. User avatar MrsLucyG says:

    3 stars
Uhh… what’s the point of the coconut oil? Aren’t the chocolate chips already smooth enough? I skipped it.

    1. User avatar jarrett.steuber says:

      4 stars
I think the coconut oil is supposed to help the chocolate be smoother and easier to work with! I personally love the extra creamy texture it gives. But if you don’t mind skipping it, that’s cool too!

    5 stars

I don’t get why you need 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Seems unnecessary to me.

    2. 5 stars
These sound so fun and easy! Can’t wait to try them for my Halloween party! 🎃
