A little too much chopping for me, but the recipe is solid. Maybe pre-diced veggies would help?
I didn’t have all the ingredients but it still turned out good enough.
That’s great to hear! Sometimes improvising can lead to the best recipes. What did you substitute?
Sooo good! My new favorite!
I completely agree! This soup is amazing! What other recipes have you tried?
I never know which fish to use. Does it have to be white or can I use salmon?
This sounds amazing! Can’t wait to try it!
Yummy! I added some garlic bread on the side. Perfect pairing for this dish. 😍
Honestly, I’ve tried better recipes. This one was just okay, not bad though. Kind of bland needed more spices.
Wow, 4 cups broth for 1 pound fish feels kinda light—like it’ll be more stew than soup. Still gonna try, looks tasty!
I totally get what you mean, but it’ll probably turn out more like a light broth with tender fish than a thick stew. If you want it thicker, simmer a bit longer or add another splash of broth/less water next time.
This soup is DELICIOUS! I never liked fish until I tried this recipe. My family can’t get enough!
I’m so glad you loved it! I’ve been hesitant to try cooking fish but this gives me hope! 🌟
I followed the recipe but it turned out too spicy for my taste. Maybe cut back on the cayenne?
Why boil fish for 30 min though? I mean… fish be delicate. I’ll probably add it later next time. Recipe good but timing skeptical.
Didn’t have some ingredients, so I used whatever I had. It turned out good but probably not authentic.
Mmm, very good! Even my kids liked it and they are so picky! Five stars!
Not sure about 1 tsp paprika + 1/2 tsp cayenne for my taste… might be a bit spicy? Still, the flavor base looks solid.
This is just like the soup my grandma used to make! Brings back memories!
The steps were a bit confusing, especially where you add the fish. Could be clearer!
Too many veggies! I couldn’t even taste the fish. Next time I’ll just skip the peppers maybe.
I don’t think fish and soup should ever go together. Y’all are weird. But hey, my wife loved it.
Why does it take so long to cook? Can’t I just microwave it? 😂
I like that it’s pretty straightforward and doesn’t require a ton of ingredients. 30 minutes simmer seems about right for the fish too.
Simple recipe but I used chicken instead of fish because my kids dont like fish. Still turn out good!
This soup was sooo good! My family loved it! 🙌
Sounds good but i don’t think my kids will eat it. They only like chicken… 🤷♂️
Have you tried getting them to help make it? Maybe they’ll like it more if they help out!
I’m skeptical about using zucchini—like will it go mushy? But if you only simmer 30 minutes it might stay nice. Might try with thicker-cut pieces.
Tbh I’d just cut the zucchini thicker like you said or even add it later, otherwise it breaks down fast. Also 30 min might be enough—don’t boil hard. Otherwise the fish could overcook too.
I get the zucchini-mushy worry, but in this soup it’s diced small and only simmered about 30 mins on low. I’ve done it and it kind of softens and disappears into the broth—still tasty, not slimy.
This soup is AMAZING! So fresh and flavorful. Will definitely make again!
Lol “fish or vegetable broth” is convenient. I used vegetable and it still tasted really good. The tomato paste step really boosts the flavor.
I’m not sure about using white fish. Can I use salmon instead? Would that change the soup a lot?
OMG this is so good! My family devoured it. Thanks for sharing!
This soup is absolutely amazing! I can’t believe how flavorful it is with just a few ingredients. Definitely a keeper!
Not sure if I did it right, but my fish fell apart. Is that normal?
Looks complicated, but I guess anyone can cook if they follow the steps right? 😂 Idk if I’ll try it tho.
Why do you add the broth so late? Shouldn’t it be at the start? 🤔
Nah, I think it’s fine as is. It’s just a soup, don’t overthink it! 😂
I thought the same thing! But maybe adding broth later lets the veggies flavor more. 🤷♂️
I added some lemon juice and it was a game changer! So fresh!
I don’t like fish that much, but my husband loves it! I’ll give it a shot.
This soup sounds delicious! I’m sure your husband will love it, and you might end up enjoying it too! 😊
I don’t know about this. Fish soup? Really? How can you like that? 🤔
I used shrimp instead of fish and it was still super duper tasty! I love this recipe!
Yummy! I think I could live on this soup forever! 😍
It looks good, but I never had fish soup. Is it like bouillabaisse? 🤔
Meditteranean fish soup? More like fishy water! Not my cup of tea. 😒
Yummy! Got my kids to eat veggies too! Who knew?
Wow. This is sooo good. My cat even liked the smell (idk why). Will make again!!!
Not really a fan. I think it needed more seasoning. It just felt bland to me.
Super delicious! My kids loved it! I added some lemon juice for a kick. Will do this again for sure!
So glad to hear your kids loved it! Lemon juice is a great idea for extra flavor. Can’t wait to try it myself!
Simple soup but didn’t do much for me. Little bland, I think it needs more spices.
Simple and tasty! Easy to make on a weeknight. Big hit with my kids!
I don’t know… soup with fish? Kinda weird, right? Not sure if my kids would like it.
This sounds yummy! I love how quick it is to prepare. Will definitely try it this week!
Wow! So easy and quick! I skipped the cayenne pepper coz I’m not good with spicy, but it turned out great anyway.
Yum! Had this for dinner last night, best soup ever!
Not sure about the cayenne amount—1/2 tsp sounds spicy-ish. Could be great though if you like heat.
Yeah, 1/2 tsp cayenne is definitely on the spicier side, but it’s pretty reasonable for a fish soup. I’d start there and adjust next time—more cayenne if you want heat, less if you don’t. The paprika + tomatoes help balance it.
I made something similar before and it always comes out great. The timing seems reasonable too—especially the 30 min simmer. Definitely bookmarking.
Why do you use cayenne? Feels like overkill. Unnecessary ingredient.
Cayenne adds a nice kick! Don’t knock it till you try it. It really brings the soup to life. 😋
I tried making this, but it ended up too spicy for my taste. Maybe less cayenne next time?
I made something like this once and the fish got kinda chewy. If anyone tries it, don’t overcook the fillets—watch the simmer time.
Totally agree on not overcooking the fish—chewy is the worst. I usually add the fillets for the last ~10 minutes of simmer instead of the full 30.
Easy to make and healthy. My kids didn’t even notice the veggies. Will make again!
5 stars! This recipe is a keeper. Perfect for cold nights, and it makes you feel healthy. 🌟
I totally agree! This soup is so comforting. I made it last night, and it was perfect for my family. 😊
My kids didn’t like it, but I thought it was OK. They are picky eaters though.
This sounds so cozy and bright—zucchini + peppers + tomato paste is such a good combo. I’ll definitely try it with cod or halibut. 🌊
Not sure about the cayenne—1/2 tsp seems like a lot for a soup like this. Could be great though if you like heat. Maybe start with less?
I agree—1/2 tsp cayenne feels spicy for a soup like this. I always start with 1/4 tsp and add more at the end if needed.
Nah, I think 1/2 tsp is fine. Cayenne isn’t like pepper flakes—works great with the tomato and paprika. If it’s too hot, just add more broth or extra tomatoes.
Too many veggies. Fish soup should just be fish and broth. Disappointed!
Okay, question: does it matter if you use fish broth vs vegetable? I don’t have fish broth. Also, can you just skip tomato paste if you’re out?
Tomato paste is kinda important for thickness, so skipping it might make it taste more watery. But if you’re out, use a little extra tomato or even a spoon of ketchup—idk, just my quick fix 😅
You can totally use vegetable broth—won’t be the same “sea” flavor, but it’ll still be tasty. If you want, add a tiny squeeze of lemon at the end to brighten it up.
Tasted like restaurant quality. Will impress my guests!
I swapped the fish for tofu and it still turned out great! Good for vegans. 🙏
I followed the recipe but it came out kinda bland. Maybe I needed to add more spices? 🤷♂️
This sounds so comforting—Mediterranean soups always hit. I like that it’s not too complicated but still flavorful.
Totally agree—this sounds like the kind of soup that tastes like you simmered it all day. The veggies + paprika/cayenne combo is such a good Mediterranean vibe!
Is this really Mediterranean? I thought it was a possibility of tomatoes in there, haha.
Love this recipe! So easy to make and perfect for a cozy evening. I’ll be making this again!
OMG this is the best soup I ever had! I could eat it every day. Yummy!!!
I totally agree! This soup is life! Can’t believe how good it is. 😍
Really? I thought it was too spicy! Maybe I added too much cayenne? 🤔
Wow, this soup was amazing! The flavors just popped! Definitely making it again. 🍲
I used frozen fish and it was still a big hit! So easy! 😋
This sounds fancy but fish is yucky. Why would anyone put fish in soup? 🤢
This soup was amazing! So flavorful! I added some lemon juice at the end, and it made it even better. Will definitely make again!
I tried this recipe too, and it was a hit! The lemon juice is a great touch! 🍋
Sounds good, but I don’t think adding lemon is necessary. Fish has its own flavor!
Not a fan of fish, but my husband loved it! He said it reminded him of his grandma’s cooking. 🐟
I dunno… I thought it was too spicy with the cayenne. Maybe just a pinch next time?
This is it! Not too complicated and my kids eat it! Winner! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sounds amazing! I gotta try this for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Really? My kids would never eat fish, they only like chicken. 🤷♂️
Super tasty! I added a squeeze of lemon at the end, just adds that zing! 🍋
I don’t see how lemon makes such a difference. Seems like overkill! But whatever floats your boat.
That lemon twist sounds amazing! I’ll definitely try that next time. 🍋 Thanks for the tip!
Absolutely loved this soup! The flavors are amazing. Will definitely make it again!
Really? I made it last week and it was super bland! Maybe I missed something?
I’m so glad you loved it! It’s one of my favorites too. The combination of flavors really brings it to life!
My onion was taking forever so I kinda upped the heat… it still worked. Soup was still tasty. No complaints.
I found this recipe confusing. Do you really need that much parsley? I put in like two leaves! 😂
Honestly, who puts that much parsley? I just don’t see the point. Maybe try cilantro instead? 🌿
I think the parsley really adds a fresh flavor! But if you don’t like it, go with what you enjoy. 2 leaves sounds like a start! 😂
Not sure about 1/2 tsp cayenne—seems like it could overpower the fish. Maybe start with 1/4 tsp? Still, paprika and tomato paste sounds legit.
Love the veggies in this! The tomato paste step is underrated. I’d definitely make this again.
Easy and delicious! Next time I’m gonna try it with shrimp instead of fish.
Sounds great! Shrimp would be a yummy twist. Have you tried adding lemon for an extra zing?
I dunno, shrimp could be too chewy in soup. Might better stick to fish.
It was okay, but I think it needs more seasoning. Maybe a pinch of cumin next time?
Uh, I dunno. The fish kind of fell apart and I wasn’t a fan of the flavors. Not gonna try it again.
I had a similar issue with the fish breaking apart! But maybe it’s just the type of fish? I used cod and it was fine. Give it another shot with a sturdier fish!
Everyone has different tastes, I thought it was delish! More garlic next time might help with the flavor. Don’t give up on it yet!
My kitchen tip: sauté the onion until translucent, not browned. Also I used regular vegetable broth once and it turned out fine.
Really good soup! Just enough spice! Will make again!
Soup takes too long to cook. I prefer quicker recipes!
I get that! I prefer quick meals too, but sometimes the flavors just take time. Maybe try a pressure cooker?
5/5 would recommend. This soup warms the soul. So comforting and nutritious.👌
I don’t like fish, can I use chicken? Like, can chicken even work here?
Yum! Perfect for a cold day. Will make it again for sure!
I followed the recipe exactly but my fish fell apart. Did I do something wrong?
Fish soup? I’d rather have chicken noodle! Not my thing.
I don’t really like fish, but this was pretty good. Maybe I’ll give fish another chance?
Really? Fish? 🤔 I always thought it was stinky! How did you make it taste good? Maybe I should try your version!
I’m glad you found it enjoyable! Fish can be so tasty when cooked right. 🌊
Mediterranean? This looks more like a stew. But whatever, still yummy. 🤷♂️
This soup tastes like very bad idea. Don’t recommend. Just make a sandwich instead.
I think you forgot to mention that I should remove the skin from the fish. Mine ended up kinda gross. Not happy.
Yeah, removing the skin is pretty important! I usually take that off before cooking. Sorry your soup didn’t turn out well!
I thought it was fine with skin, just makes it a bit chewy, right? But now I know for next time!
Not bad, but my husband said it tastes like the ocean. 😂
Yesss, simple. I might add some lemon at the end cuz Mediterranean food always needs lemon imo.
Yesss lemon at the end is a great idea—brightens it up so much.
Easy to make and healthy! Used frozen fish fillets, and it still turned out good. Thanks for the recipe!
I added some lemon juice and it was delish! Highly recommend!
This sounds so cozy and fresh. I love that it has both tomatoes and peppers—definitely giving Mediterranean vibes. Gonna try it with cod!
Might be good, but 30 minutes simmering with the fish seems like a lot… I’d worry it gets mushy. Maybe add the fish halfway? Also, do you think canned tomatoes work too?
Ooh cod is a great pick—this soup sounds light but still flavorful. I’d probably add the cod gently so it doesn’t overcook. Can’t wait to try it!
I followed it exactly and it came out bland 😕. I think it needs more salt and maybe more paprika. Also my broth was low so I had to add water.
Pretty solid, but 30 minutes might overcook the fish depending on how thick the fillets are. I’d probably add the fish later and just simmer until it flakes.
Mine turned out a little bland until I added extra salt and more paprika. Next time I’d also add lemon at the end.
Super bland, didn’t have much flavor. I added chili flakes but still meh. 🤷♂️
I thought it was tasty! Maybe you just need to adjust the seasoning to your taste. Everyone’s palate is different!
This soup is amazing! The flavors are just perfect. Loved every bite!
Ughh, it turned out too spicy for my taste. I think I’ll skip the cayenne next time. 😒
Totally get it! The cayenne can be a bit much. Maybe just a pinch next time? 😅
Spicy? But that’s what makes it good! You could just eat some bread with it to balance it out. 🤷♂️
I wasn’t sure about the cayenne pepper, but it turned out great. Just the right heat for me!
Fish soup for 30 minutes with any white fish? I’m skeptical—won’t it get overcooked and fall apart too much?
Lol I don’t have fish broth so I used chicken stock and it was fine. Still tastes fresh with parsley!
That’s good to know! I’ve had the same issue—fish broth is hard to find where I live. Chicken stock might be the perfect backup. Parsley really does brighten it up.
Wait, but fish soup with chicken stock… won’t it taste kinda off? Like why not just use water and more seasoning? Idk, sounds risky 😅
Mediterranean fish soup?! Yes please. I’m obsessed with anything with parsley and tomato paste. This is going on my weeknight list.
This looks so comforting—tomato paste + parsley is the dream combo. I’m totally trying it on a weeknight!
Easy to make, but I didn’t have zucchini so I skipped it. Still turned out fine! 🍲
This fish soup was amazing! So flavorful. I added a squeeze of lemon at the end!
