Jack Skellington Oreo Pops are the perfect Halloween treat for fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas and anyone looking to add some spooky fun to their dessert table. These simple, yet striking pops combine the classic Oreo cookie with a Jack Skellington-inspired design, making them both festive and delicious. With their iconic black and white colors, these pops are as easy to make as they are to enjoy.
The process starts with dipping Oreo cookies in melted white chocolate or candy melts, which forms the base for the pops. Once coated, the cookies are placed on sticks, transforming them into pops that are perfect for Halloween parties, themed events, or just a fun seasonal treat. The white coating gives them a clean, striking look that mimics Jack Skellington’s face.
To create the signature Jack Skellington face, you can use black edible markers or melted dark chocolate to draw his spooky eyes, nose, and crooked smile. This simple decoration gives each pop its unique personality, making them a fun, creative way to celebrate Halloween.
For extra flair, you can also add sprinkles, edible glitter, or even a few candy accents around the edges. These pops are not only adorable but are also a great activity for kids or a fun family baking project. They are perfect for individual servings and are easy to grab, making them ideal for parties or classroom treats.
Jack Skellington Oreo Pops are a delicious, easy-to-make treat that delivers on both fun and flavor. The combination of the crunchy Oreo, smooth chocolate coating, and the spooky design makes these pops a hit at any Halloween celebration. Whether you’re serving them at a party, handing them out as favors, or enjoying them at home, these treats bring both charm and a little bit of Halloween magic to the table.

Ingredients
- 10 Oreos Double Stuf preferred for easier placement on sticks.
- 1 cup white chocolate chips melted
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional, for chocolate thinning
- 10 lollipop sticks
- 1 tube black decorating gel for drawing faces
Instructions
- Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave or using a double boiler, adding coconut oil if desired for a smoother consistency.
- Gently twist apart each Oreo and place a lollipop stick into the cream filling, then sandwich it back together.
- Dip each Oreo into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess to drip off.
- Place the chocolate-covered Oreos onto a lined baking sheet and let them set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
- Once the chocolate has hardened, use the black decorating gel to draw Jack Skellington’s face on each pop.
- Allow the gel to set slightly before serving the Oreo pops.
I don’t get why people like these… Oreos don’t need more sugar. Yuck.
I get what you’re saying, but these are a fun treat for Halloween! Kids love them!
Made this with my niece and it was a blast! Tastes great!
These were adorable! The white chocolate sets up nicely and the Oreo sticks are super sturdy. I did add the coconut oil and it made the coating smoother for sure. 10/10 for Halloween vibes 🎃
Yum!! I love Oreos! 🙂
These are so cute! Made them for a Halloween party and everyone loved them! 🎃
Can I use dark chocolate instead? I think it would taste better than white chocolate. 🖤
Yum! 10 outta 10 for the Oreo pops! Loved Jack Skellington as a kid!
Thanks! I love Jack Skellington too! Gonna try these soon! 🎃
Yum, I could eat these all day! 👌😋
I’m not usually a “dessert-on-a-stick” person, but wow. Double Stuf really helps with the stick placement. My only issue was the first few sticks slid a bit—so go slow when sandwiching.
Dessert on a stick still sounds weird to me 😅 But okay, the face drawing part is cool. I think my Oreos fell apart though—maybe I didn’t sandwich enough or the choc was too thick? Would adding the coconut oil help more?
Totally agree—those Double Stuf centers basically *beg* for a stick. I also had that “first few slid” problem until I slowed down and pressed gently. Great tip!
These are so cute! Perfect for a Halloween party. My kids loved helping out!
I’m so glad to hear that! These are a hit for sure! 🎃
I don’t know, seems kinda hard for me. I can barely melt chocolate without burning it.
I tried making these but mine looked like blobs 🤣. Still tasted good tho!
I don’t know. Kind of a hassle for just cookies, right? Why not just eat the Oreos?
Not bad, but I feel like the gel faces are hard to draw. I couldn’t make it look like Jack. :/
I didn’t get the gel so I used a sharpie instead. They look weird… lol
I totally messed up the frosting part, now they look like blobs! 😩
Don’t worry, they still taste great! Maybe try adding more chocolate next time? 🍫
I’m not sure if I trust melting chocolate in the microwave. Seems risky!
I know what you mean! Microwaves can be tricky, but I’ve had good luck if you do it in short bursts. Just don’t walk away from it!
These are adorable 😂 I made them for a Halloween party and everyone asked for the recipe. The white chocolate coating is key—mine set a little too fast so I worked quicker.
My pops turned out a mess. The chocolate didn’t coat well, and the faces looked terrible. 😩
Don’t worry! It happens to the best of us. Maybe try a thicker chocolate next time?
I tried making these, but the chocolate got all clumpy. What did I do wrong?
These are sooo cute! Made them for my kid’s bday, they loved them! 😊
Made them for class and everyone loved them! Will definitely make again.
Oreo pops? Really? You just dip cookies in chocolate? Seems kinda basic if you ask me.
These look so cute! Just made them for a Halloween party and everyone loved them! 🎃
These are so cute! Perfect for Halloween treats. Can’t wait to make them with my kids!
Honestly, I don’t know what the fuss is about. They’re just Oreos dipped in white chocolate. Meh.
So easy! Made these for a Halloween party and they were a hit! Thanks for sharing!
Tried this recipe and lost half the chocolate. It was melting everywhere! Tips?
Ugh, that sounds frustrating! Did you use too much chocolate? I always have issues with it too.
Maybe let the melted chocolate cool a bit before dipping? It might help with melting all over.
I don’t know… sounds too sweet for me. But my kids will love it, I guess.
These are adorable 😂 The Jack face with the black gel is such a fun touch. I used regular Oreos and they still worked great!
I don’t see how this is any different from just eating Oreos. Kinda pointless.
But it’s not just Oreos! It’s about the fun and creativity! Plus, Jack Skellington? Halloween vibes! 🎃
This is a fun kids project. I’m not super into baking, but even I could do it. The instructions are clear and simple.
I tried this but the white chocolate just wouldn’t stick right. Ended up with a mess.
Sounds like you did something wrong. The chocolate should stick fine if you do it right. Maybe try a different brand of chocolate next time?
Sorry to hear that! Have you tried letting the chocolate cool a bit before dipping? That might help it stick better!
Jack who? I just ate the chocolate and left the Oreo. Yummy!!
Super easy and fun! I love Jack Skellington, and these Oreo pops are a hit at the party. Will make again!
Wait, you are supposed to melt it? I just dunked them in the chocolate directly. Why did I not think of this?
This can’t be good for you, but hey, it’s Halloween, right?
Haha, true! Halloween treats are all about indulgence! 🍬
But like, doesn’t that white chocolate have a ton of sugar? Not exactly health food…
I got confused on the coconut oil part. What does that do? But overall, not bad.
Honestly, I don’t get why you need coconut oil. Seems like a fancy add-on but it’s just chocolate at the end of the day!
Coconut oil helps thin out the chocolate, makes it smoother for dipping! Don’t worry, it’s still tasty without it too.
I didn’t have black gel, so I used chocolate sprinkles instead. Still turned out tasty, but not very spooky!
But like, how’d you think chocolate sprinkles would look like Jack Skellington? Kinda not spooky at all 🤷♂️
That’s a clever swap! Chocolate sprinkles can be fun too. Love your creativity!
Yumm!!! ✨💖
I made these for Halloween last year, and they were a hit! Everyone loved them. 🎃
Too much work for a cookie! Why not just eat the Oreos as they are? 😂
Oreo pops! Yum! Must try. 👍
These look super fun! Can’t wait to make them for Halloween! 🎃
Super easy recipe! I had all the stuff at home already, so I didn’t even have to go out.
This is too easy to be real 😅 I did it in one evening with the kid. Only issue: the sticks slipped out before dipping once—had to re-sandwich the Oreos tighter.
Yummy! I added sprinkles after the chocolate! Made them even more festive!
So easy and fun to make! Perfect for a Halloween party. 🎃
1 cup white choc chips? seems low… I had to melt like 2 cups to fully coat all 10. Still tasted good though.
Mine didn’t fully harden at room temp, so I had to refrigerate. Also the black gel smeared a bit until I let it “set slightly.” Still cute and fun to make with kids.
Uhh, can you use regular Oreos? Or it has to be Double Stuf? Help!
Regular Oreos should work fine too! Just might be a bit harder to stick together, but give it a go!
Pretty good but mine didn’t turn out like the pictures. Maybe I need practice. 🙁
Ok, these look awesome! My kids love Nightmare Before Christmas, gonna make these for sure!
These are so cute! My kids loved making them and they tasted great too!
This is too hard. Can’t we just buy them premade?
I totally get what you mean! Sometimes it’s just easier to grab stuff from the store. But this can be a fun activity to do with friends or kids!
It’s not that hard! Just follow the steps, and you’ll see it’s actually pretty easy. Plus, homemade is always better than store-bought!
Yummm! Can’t believe how fun they turned out. Gonna be the hit at our party!
Sounds awesome! I love how creative these look! 😍
I tried this and they turned into a big gooey mess. Not sure if I did it right.
Okay I tried this and mine looked kinda wonky, but in a charming way? The face gel is where it’s at. Next time I’ll do a thicker coat so it doesn’t crack.
That’s so cute 😄 “wonky but charming” is honestly the best vibe for Jack-themed treats. Thicker coat definitely helps—mine did the same if I didn’t dip evenly.
These are adorable! Made them for a Halloween party and they were a hit! 🎃
Are you sure this will work? Seems kinda hard. 😬
Super easy and fun! I made a bunch and gave them out for Halloween. Big hit! 🎃
My kids loved these! They were fun to make together. We’ll definitely do it again!
Sounds like a blast! Can’t wait to try this with my kids too. Thanks for sharing!
I don’t know about these, they seem kinda messy. How do you keep the faces from smudging? 🤔
Jack Skellington? Who is that? I just thought they were cookies. Anyway, they taste good!
Jack Skellington is from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas.’ But who cares when they’re this tasty? 😋
Really? You don’t know who Jack is? He’s a legend! But hey, as long as the cookies taste good, right?
These were ridiculously cute 😂 The white chocolate made them look so clean, and the black faces were honestly the fun part. I used a little extra coconut oil and they dipped easier.
Aww I love this 😂 The white chocolate + black faces sounds like such a fun combo. Good tip about the coconut oil—mine always feels a little too thick when I don’t thin it!
Okay but why I do this and my chocolate gets all grainy 😭 I followed steps tho. Maybe I melted too hot? Also I don’t have black gel, can I use melted chocolate or will it crack?
These pops are super cute! My kids loved them!
These are super cute! I made them for a Halloween party and they were a hit!
Tried making these but the chocolate didn’t set right. Any tips?
Too much chocolate, I think. Oreos are already sweet, you know?
Took me a while to dip them all but so worth it!!!
So glad you enjoyed making them! They are super cute and delicious! 😍
I tried these but my chocolate wouldn’t harden right… Not sure what I did wrong. Anyone got tips?
I think it’s just a waste to use all that chocolate for Oreos. Why not just eat them plain?
I don’t get it. What’s with the coconut oil? Is that necessary?
Real difficult for someone like me. I ended up eating the Oreos instead of decorating them. 🤣
Haha, I get you! Decorating is tough. Oreos are delicious just as they are! 🍪
Jack Skeleton is a legend! My kids gonna love these. Thanks!
Yummy!!
This is too many steps!! I’m not good in the kitchen. Can’t we just buy them?
I get it! The steps do seem like a lot, but it’s actually really fun to make them yourself! You could try it just once!
I tried it and the sticks kept slipping. Maybe I used the wrong stick? Idk, maybe put more chocolate on the inside? Taste was okay but presentation was… not great lol.
Oh no—sounds like the stick got loose before the chocolate set. I’d try chilling the Oreos on the stick for like 10–15 min before fully dipping, and make sure the stick goes deep into the cream. More chocolate inside could help too, but don’t overload or it’ll slide out.
Oreo sticks? Aren’t they just cookies? This recipe seems strange to me.
I get your point, but it’s about the fun and creativity! These Oreos are a total treat, especially for Halloween. 🎃
The coconut oil tip is clutch. Without it, the chocolate feels a little waxy. With it, it flows better and the drizzle/drip-off looks cleaner.
Good call, I was wondering why mine looked all waxy too 😅 I used coconut oil the second time and it dripped off better, but I still think I needed less chocolate—maybe my melts were too hot.
Yes!! I tried once without coconut oil and it came out kinda thick and weird. Adding it made the drizzle look way smoother and not chalky.
Yummy! Jack Skellington is my fav! But why coconut oil? Have I got to buy that too? Seems unnecessary.
I don’t know, I followed the recipe but it didn’t turn out like the picture. Maybe I’m just not good at this.
Mine didn’t coat evenly—like some spots were bare and the white chocolate cracked when I grabbed them. I think I overheated the chips? Still tasted great.
Oh no—yeah that sounds like the chocolate seized up a bit or got too hot. If the white chocolate overheats it can crack and won’t coat evenly, so spots end up bare. Next time I’d try shorter microwave bursts (stirring every 15–20 sec) or double-boiler, and add the coconut oil sparingly only if it’s too thick.
Jack Skellington sounds like a typo but somehow it works 😂 The gel sets fast, so don’t overthink the face. Mine looked more like a haunted cookie than a skull, but still got devoured.
😂 Haunted cookie is honestly the best outcome. I always think it’s gonna be a perfect skull, then the gel sets and I’m like… nope, haunted it is.
I used normal Oreos and they still turned out fine. Just added more chocolate to make up for it!
Got my kids involved in making these. So fun! They loved decorating the faces. Definitely making again!
My kids loved making these! Great activity and easy to follow instructions.
My boyfriend loves Nightmare Before Christmas so I did this for him! So cute!
Seems kinda complicated for just some cookies. How do they even taste? 🤔
That’s such a sweet idea! My kids would love these too. Can’t wait to try them!
These are soooo cute! I’m making them for my Halloween party! 🎃
Yummy! But can I use regular Oreos? What’s the diff?
These look amazing! Can’t wait to make them for Halloween!
Best treat ever! Literally made these for a party and they vanished!
Wow, sounds delicious! I’ll definitely try making these for my next party!
Not gonna lie, I don’t get the hype. Oreos + chocolate is already a thing. Also, 10 pops is a weird amount.
I tried making these but my kids ate all the Oreos first! 😂
Haha, kids and their sweet tooth! Maybe hide some Oreos next time? These pops look so fun! 😄
Oreo pops? Sounds weird! Ain’t just Oreos and chocolate a dessert? Why mess it up? 🤔
Uhh… what’s the point of the coconut oil? Aren’t the chocolate chips already smooth enough? I skipped it.
I think the coconut oil is supposed to help the chocolate be smoother and easier to work with! I personally love the extra creamy texture it gives. But if you don’t mind skipping it, that’s cool too!
These are so cute! Can’t wait to make them for a Halloween party. 🎃
Seems easy enough but why “coconut oil optional”? Like I didn’t have it and my chocolate still coated fine. I don’t know if it’s really necessary.
Not too sure if this is worth the effort. They look great but why not just buy cookies from the store?
Super easy and yummy! Just a bit messy, but worth it! 🙌
So glad to hear you loved it! The messy part means you had fun, right? 😂
Yummy! Tastes just like my childhood! Can’t wait to share with family!
I don’t get why you need 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Seems unnecessary to me.
Super fun! But I couldn’t find the black decorating gel anywhere, so I just used dark chocolate for the face. Not as cute, but still tasty!
Do you really think these taste good? I feel like store-bought would taste better. 🤔
Just wow! I can’t believe how simple this is and they’re so professional looking! Thanks!
I know, right? They look so cool! Can’t wait to try this out for Halloween!
Professional looking? Really? It’s just chocolate and cookies, come on.
These look so cute! Can’t wait to make them for Halloween!
Do I have to use Oreo? What if I use Chips Ahoy? 🤔
Perfect for last minute party snacks! Thanks for the recipe!
Looks cool and all, but I’m not sure if it’ll taste good. White chocolate is kinda sweet, right?
These sound so fun and easy! Can’t wait to try them for my Halloween party! 🎃
These are sooo cute! My kids loved making them for Halloween!
Is it really necessary to use coconut oil? Can you just use chocolate alone?
I tried to be fancy and used dark chocolate chips instead of white—big mistake. The black gel looked weird on it and the flavor got off. Stick to the recipe, folks.
Hmm I kinda disagree—white vs dark might just be personal preference. But yeah, the black gel on dark chocolate probably won’t pop the same. I’ll stick to your method next time.
lol I did the same thing once—thought I was being creative. The gel looked smudgy and the taste was off. Thanks for saving me from doing it again 😂
These are adorable 😭 I made them for a Halloween party and everyone kept stealing them. The white chocolate + Oreos combo is perfect, and the sticks are super easy to place.
Not gonna lie, I tried something like this but my chocolate got all thick and wouldn’t dip right. 😅 Maybe I needed more coconut oil? Also I put the sticks in the wrong part at first lol—still turned out decent.
Aww I love that! 😭 I’m doing these for my niece’s class—stealing definitely sounds like a compliment. The black gel faces are such a cute touch.
Super easy to make and they turned out great! 👏
I burnt my chocolate and now my kitchen smells like a campfire! 😩
Lol, a campfire?? That’s a new one! At least next time, keep an eye on it! 😂
Oh no! That’s the worst! Maybe you can try again with a lower heat? Good luck!
I don’t have black gel, can I just use chocolate? Asking for a friend.
I followed the steps and they came out pretty good! The black gel detail took longer than expected though. Still, the Oreo + white chocolate combo is unbeatable.
Cute idea, but mine seized up a little when I microwaved the chocolate. I think I overheated it. Still tasted good, just didn’t coat as nicely.
Easy recipe but the decorating part was a bit tricky. Still fun tho!
Jack Skellington… lol. I get what you mean, but the character drawing felt harder than it should’ve. Still, the pops looked amazing once set.
The instructions are clear, but I wish it said how long to set in the fridge. I waited like 20 minutes and it was almost set, so I ended up giving it more time. Flavor though: spot on.
My kids loved drawing the faces. I’m giving it 5 stars just for that. If you chill them longer, the chocolate firms up and you can stop stressing about smudging the gel.
Cute idea! I used dark decorating gel because I didn’t have black, and it looked almost the same. Would make again for Halloween.
Aww I love that! Dark gel for black is such a smart fix—Halloween crafts are all about improvising. 😄 I bet the faces still pop really well on the white chocolate.
Wait… so dark decorating gel was basically fine? I always thought it would look kinda brown, not black. Also I don’t have coconut oil—will the chocolate seize or just be thicker?
Yum! But why coconut oil? Aren’t we just wasting extra ingredients? Lol.
IDK if I’d wanna eat something with a face on it… kinda creepy.
The faces looked kinda weird when I did them. Maybe I need more practice!!
I’m skeptical about the white chocolate coating—mine looked streaky and didn’t fully cover. Maybe I needed more melted chocolate than the recipe?
That sounds like a consistency issue. White chocolate gets streaky if it’s too thick (or if it cools while you’re still dipping). I’d try melting it fully and keep it warm like in short microwave bursts, stirring often.
I think you might be right—10 Oreos can sometimes need more coating than 1 cup chips, especially if you want a really even layer. I’d double the white chocolate (and maybe add a bit more coconut oil) next time.
Okay but why “Jack Skellington” lol 😂 I’m assuming you mean Jack Skellington from Nightmare. Either way, the pops look fun and kinda creepy-cute.
Is it supposed to be this messy? I feel like I’m in a chocolate war zone. 😂
Messy? More like a disaster waiting to happen! I think I’ll stick to store bought treats, less cleanup that way.
Haha, chocolate war zone is a perfect description! But don’t worry, it’s all part of the fun! Just embrace the mess. 😄
Could you use dark chocolate instead of white? I tried and it tasted a little bitter with the Oreos, but the look was still Halloween-y.
My kids loved these! Super simple and adorable! Will make them again!
That’s awesome! Glad your kids enjoyed it! I tried them too and they were a hit at our Halloween party.
Only 10 Oreos? Should be 20 to really satisfy. Also, who uses coconut oil?
20 Oreos?! Are you trying to sugar rush us to the moon? 😂 Also, coconut oil is good for just about everything! It’s not weird!
I think 10 Oreos is just fine! Sometimes less is more when it comes to treats. And coconut oil helps make the chocolate smoother, which is great for dipping!
Is coconut oil really necessary? I skipped it and they turned out fine.
Pretty easy recipe but I messed mine up. The chocolate didn’t stick right.
So… are these supposed to be crunchy or chewy? I left them at room temp and the chocolate got soft. Next time I’ll refrigerate right away.
Mine were chewy lol 😂 I didn’t refrigerate much and the chocolate stayed soft-ish. I think the coconut oil made it worse too? Next time I’ll do less oil and try longer in the fridge.
I’d say they’re meant to be more crunchy because the chocolate sets, but if they sit too warm the chocolate goes soft and the texture changes. Refrigerating right away definitely helps—especially with Double Stuf (they’re wetter).
I messed up melting the chocolate. It got too hot and turned grainy 😭. I think my microwave timing was off. Still, when I restarted with lower heat they came out great.
Decided to skip the gel and just use chocolate eyes instead. Still awesome!
It took me forever to make these. Not doing it again!
I followed it pretty closely but my chocolate seized a little when I added the coconut oil. Still tasty though, just not as smooth. Might try double boiler next time.
Seized when you added coconut oil… yeah that checks out 😅 White chocolate is kinda fragile. I’d just skip the coconut oil unless you really need it, and keep the melting super gentle. Still glad it was tasty though!
Oh no—sorry about the seize! I’ve noticed coconut oil can make white chocolate get weird fast if it’s added while the chocolate is even slightly too hot. Double boiler next time sounds perfect 👏
Not gunna lie, my faces looked more like little ghosts from a game than Jack Skellington 😅 but the recipe itself is easy. Would make again.
Super fun recipe! My kids loved decorating them. Just a suggestion, maybe add some orange icing for extra festivity?
I followed the steps exactly and it came out fine… but the coating was a bit thick for my taste. Next time I’ll thin less or dip quicker so it doesn’t look chunky.
Totally get that—white chocolate can thicken up fast once it cools. I’ve found dipping quicker (and keeping the chocolate warm) really helps keep it from getting chunky.
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about sticking the lollipop through the Oreos without them crumbling. But it worked—just twist gently like the recipe says. Tasted way better than I expected.
Glad it worked for you! I always worry they’ll fall apart too—twisting gently is the key. Did you set yours in the fridge or just room temp?
Double Stuf really does make it easier to stick on the lollipop. The coating looked super smooth and the pops tasted like cookies + candy. Win.
I tried this but my chocolate seized? Like it turned grainy and wouldn’t coat. I’m thinking I used the coconut oil too much or my microwave overheated it. Still tasted good though 😅 but the smooth look was gone.
Totally agree—Double Stuf just clings better. Mine looked glossy too, and the cookie-candy vibe is spot on. I did the gel a little too soon once and it smeared, so letting it set a bit helps a lot.
I don’t usually bother with decorating gel, but I tried it. The faces were way cuter than I expected. Next time I’ll add the coconut oil because my chocolate was thick.
My first batch wouldn’t set, like the chocolate stayed tacky. I think I didn’t let them cool long enough in the fridge. Lesson learned.
The lollipop sticks were kinda hard to place without breaking the Oreo. I twisted too fast I guess. Once I slowed down it was fine.
I think I’d dunk the whole Oreo on the stick first… but maybe that makes it worse. Twisting fast def breaks them, yep. Also does the white chocolate always stay smooth? Mine kinda seized once.
Same! The stick placement feels like a delicate operation 😅 If you go slow and twist just enough, the Oreo doesn’t crack. I also found chilling the Oreos for 5-10 min first helps.
Not gonna lie, the “fully coated” part took me forever. Half my pops looked streaky, but the faces came out cute anyway. Worth it.
I followed it pretty closely, but my chocolate seized a bit when I added the oil. Still tasted great though—next time I’ll warm everything slower.
Oh no—chocolate seizing is the worst 😩 But honestly your fix makes sense. Warming slower + adding oil gradually usually helps keep it smooth. Glad it still tasted great!
Mine did the same once, I think it’s cuz I added the coconut oil too fast or the chocolate was kinda hot. Also I accidentally used regular Oreos not double stuf and the sticks wouldn’t stay—still decent tho lol.
Unpopular opinion: Oreos + chocolate is fine, but the face drawing feels messy and the gel tastes kinda bitter to me. Also the sticks are kinda hard to eat without getting chocolate everywhere.
I’m a little skeptical about using melted white chocolate with coconut oil—mine seized up once. Maybe I overheated it, but once I kept it low it was fine.
I used regular Oreos (not Double Stuf) because that’s what I had—stick placement was harder, but it worked. Taste was still great.
These were SO cute—way better than I expected. I used regular Oreos and they still worked. The face design was the fun part!
Aw yay! I’m glad regular Oreos worked for you—double-stuf just makes the stick placement easier. The faces are definitely the best part 😄
Not gonna lie, I thought it’d be messy. But the drip-off step helped. I served them chilled and the chocolate snapped nicely.
Way too easy for how adorable they turned out. My kids helped with the faces and now they’re obsessed. 10/10 for parties.
The black gel is doing the heavy lifting here. If you mess up the face, just scrape and re-do—still looked good even when mine were kinda lopsided.
The Oreos stayed perfect but the gel took forever to set for me. I’m impatient so I served them a little early… still cute though lol.
Super yummy but the instructions say “room temperature or in the refrigerator”—I tried room temp and it melted. Chilled all the way is the move.
Totally agree—“room temperature” is kinda vague here 😅 If it melts on you, chilling is definitely the safer move. I had the same issue the first time, now I only do room temp for like 10 mins at most before serving.
