There’s something timeless about the combination of honey and mustard. It’s sweet but sharp, bold yet balanced. When brushed onto juicy chicken and baked to golden perfection, it creates a sticky, glossy glaze that clings to every bite and makes you go back for seconds (and maybe thirds). Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken isn’t just dinner, it’s comfort food with a bit of flair.
What makes this dish so special is its simplicity. The glaze comes together with just a few pantry staples: honey for sweetness, mustard for tang, a little garlic for depth, and olive oil to round it all out. Together, they form a rich coating that caramelizes beautifully in the oven or sizzles to perfection in a hot skillet. No need for complicated marinades or long prep times, this chicken practically cooks itself while you get the rest of your meal ready.
Whether you’re using thighs, drumsticks, or boneless breasts, the glaze works like magic. It locks in moisture and adds a bold flavor that elevates even the simplest piece of chicken. And the best part? It pairs with just about anything. Serve it alongside roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, a crisp green salad, or even over rice to soak up all that sweet-savory goodness.
Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken also plays well with weeknight schedules and picky eaters. It’s easy to scale up for a crowd or down for a solo dinner. It’s cozy enough for a quiet night in but flavorful enough to impress at your next dinner party.
If you’re tired of bland chicken and looking for something that feels a little more special, but without extra effort—this dish is your answer. It’s fast, flavorful, and guaranteed to make your kitchen smell amazing. One bite, and it’ll be in your regular rotation.

I wasn’t sure about honey and mustard together, but wow, it really works! Will make again.
The chicken was dry after 30 mins at 425°F. Not sure what went wrong.
I made this for dinner, and everyone loved it! Even my picky eater.
This was amazing! The glaze caramelized so well and the chicken was so juicy. Will definitely make again.
Just like mom used to make, but with more honey! Yum!
Yum! My kids gobbled it up. I used chicken thighs instead, and it was still super tasty!
Omg yes, I’m making this for dinner tonight! So excited!
So simple yet so delicious! Who knew chicken could be this good?
the recipe is ok but it will never beat my grandma’s chicken. Also, who uses Dijon mustard anyway?
So easy to make! I added a bit of lemon juice for some zest. It was a hit with the family!
This only took me 30 min! i love how simple it is. 🍗❤️
What is Dijon mustard? Can I just use regular? Asking for a friend.
Yummy, but you forgot to mention how long to let it rest! I did 10 minutes and it was great.
Super easy to make! Can’t believe how good it tastes. Plus, it looks fancy!
Yum! Chicken is the best meat! I put even more honey in there. Love it so much.
Wow, this recipe is fantastic! The honey mustard glaze made the chicken so juicy and flavorful. Will make it again!
I totally agree! This glazed chicken is really something special. Also, don’t forget it pairs well with rice or some veggies!
I thought it would be better. It was kinda dry, maybe I cooked it too long?
I experienced the same issue! It can definitely dry out if overcooked. Next time, try checking the chicken a few minutes early.
Dry chicken? That sounds weird. I did it exactly like the recipe and it turned out fine. Maybe it’s just your oven?
Quick and easy! Perfect recipe for busy weeknights.
I tried this but my chicken came out kinda dry. Maybe I cooked it too long?
I totally agree! So quick and delish. Perfect for my crazy kids!
Easy to make and the chicken came out juicy. I’ll definitely make this again!
I tried this but I think I overcooked the chicken. It ended up dry and the glaze was burnt. Maybe I’ll try it on a lower temp next time.
If you ask me, this ain’t chicken. Real chicken should be fried, not baked.
But baking is healthier tho! Fried chicken is good, but have u tried this way?
Eh, it was just ok. I’ve had better chicken recipes before. Wouldn’t recommend.
Eh, I thought it was gonna be fancy, but it was just chicken with sauce. Kinda plain.
I think it’s all about the flavors, not the fancy stuff! This glaze is actually really good, you should give it a chance again. 👌
Plain? Nah, it’s a classic! But you could spice it up by adding some chili flakes or whatever. 😅
This was a hit with my family! The honey mustard flavor is amazing!
Very easy to make! I seasoned it with extra herbs and it turned out great.
Seems too simple, but I guess anyone can make it. Not really my thing.
I also added some chili flakes for a kick! It was delicious! Thanks for the recipe!
Y’all, I think the honey and mustard mix is too sweet. I like it savory.
I hear you! Maybe try adding some lemon juice or more garlic to balance out the sweetness.
Nah, it’s perfect! The honey is what makes it delicious! Sweet and savory is the best combo!
Epic fail. I burned it! I should’ve watched it better.
Not a fan of honey mustard but my partner loved it. I think I’m gonna stick to plain ol’ BBQ chicken.
Won’t make this again. The glaze was too sweet for my taste.
This was AMAZING! The glaze was so delicious. My kids loved it!
Looks delish! But my kids won’t eat mustard… 😒
I’m glad you and your kids enjoyed it! The glaze really makes all the difference, doesn’t it?
Great for a quick weeknight dinner! Super simple to make. Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! It’s one of my go-to recipes for busy nights.
Isn’t honey mustard too sweet for chicken? I prefer savory flavors.
It was okay, but the glaze was too sweet for my taste. Maybe less honey next time?
I added some cayenne pepper for a kick and it was amazing! Spicy & sweet! 🔥
I love honey mustard, and this recipe was delicious but too sweet for dinner, perfect for a lunch tho.
I totally agree! It’s a bit too sweet for me too, but I enjoy it more as a sandwich filling for lunch.
Absolutely delicious! My family loved it. Will definitely make again!
Hmmm, not sure if this is really that great. I mean, honey and mustard? Seems weird to me.
I made this last night too! So good! My kids also ate it all, can’t wait to make it again.
Why do you need to preheat the oven? Can’t you just put the chicken in right away? 🤔
Preheating helps cook the chicken evenly and makes sure the glaze caramelizes properly! You really should do it! 😊
Didn’t have dijon, so I used yellow mustard and it was still good. Just saying!
I made this for a dinner party and everyone loved it! So juicy!
Was this supposed to be sweet? I added more salt and it still tasted weird. Not a fan.
Easy and quick! Made this for my kids and they loved it. Definitely a keeper in our house.
I’m glad to hear your kids loved it! It’s super easy, right? I just made it last night too and was a hit with my family!
Tasted so good! My kids loved it!
I tried this but it turned out kinda dry. I might have overcooked the chicken but it wasn’t great overall.
What kind of mustard? Can I use yellow? I don’t have dijon.
Too complicated for me. I just wanna fry chicken, lol.
I get it, frying chicken is so much easier! But this recipe is really tasty if you ever wanna try something new!
This recipe is amazing! The chicken turned out so juicy and the glaze was perfect.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! The glaze is truly the star of the show. 🌟
Do we have to use dijon? I only have yellow mustard. Will it work?
You can totally use yellow mustard! It might not have the same flavor as dijon, but it’ll still be tasty. Just adjust the honey to balance it out if needed!
I dunno, yellow mustard seems too different. The recipe says dijon for a reason, right? Maybe it won’t taste the same.
Not my favorite, I think the honey is too sweet for chicken. Maybe it’s just me.
🤮 Didn’t like it at all. Way too much honey!
I dunno, honey’s supposed to be sweet, right? Maybe you should try less next time? 🤷♂️
I actually loved it! The honey gives it a nice sweetness. Maybe you added too much or something? Just a thought!
I don’t like mustard so I skipped that part. Just used honey and it burned. Oops.
Maybe try a lower temp next time? Honey can burn easily. Glad you tried it tho!
How long do I cook it if I use thighs instead of breasts? Need help plz!
You can cook thighs for about 30-35 mins! They’re juicier too, yum! Good luck!
I think it might be longer??? Maybe like 40 mins? Not really sure, but don’t overcook!
Not impressed. The chicken turned out dry. I think I cooked it too long.
This recipe is a classic! I added some lemon juice for extra tang. Yum!
Yummers!! 🍗 Love this dish sooo much! Can’t get enough of that glaze.
