Healthy Paleo Snickers are a delicious and nutritious treat that satisfies your sweet tooth while keeping you in line with a Paleo diet. These Snickers are made with wholesome ingredients like dates, nuts, and coconut milk, offering a great balance of sweetness and crunch, all without refined sugars or artificial additives.
If youāre craving something sweet, nutty, and chocolatey, but want to skip the refined sugar and processed ingredients, healthy Paleo Snickers are the perfect answer. They offer everything you love about the classic candy bar: gooey caramel, crunchy peanuts, and rich chocolate, all in a version thatās made with clean, real-food ingredients.
The base layer typically starts with a chewy, naturally sweet crust made from dates, almond flour, or a blend of nuts. It provides that soft bite and subtle sweetness without using any grains or added sugars. On top of that comes the ācaramelā layer, which is usually made with a mix of dates, nut butter, and a splash of vanilla. Itās thick, sticky, and incredibly close to the real thing, minus the corn syrup and dairy.
For that signature crunch, roasted peanuts or almonds are layered into the caramel before everything gets covered in a smooth, dark chocolate coating. Use melted Paleo-approved chocolate or make your own with cacao powder, coconut oil, and a touch of maple syrup or honey. The result is a decadent treat that satisfies your sweet tooth without wrecking your clean eating goals.
These Paleo Snickers bars are easy to prep and store well in the fridge or freezer. You can slice them into bars, squares, or even bite-sized pieces for a quick snack or post-workout treat. Theyāre gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free, proof that indulgence and healthy eating can actually go hand in hand.
Whether youāre following a Paleo lifestyle or just looking for a better-for-you dessert, this upgraded version of a childhood favorite is rich, satisfying, and made entirely from whole-food ingredients. Youāll never look at a store-bought candy bar the same way again.

Healthy snacks are the best! But like, are they really healthy? š¤
Delicious!! Iām going to keep this recipe in my rotation for sure.
Just tried this and it was too sweet for me. Maybe less dates?
I don’t even know what paleo means, but these tasted good. Can someone help me understand?
Uhm, kind of bland. I expected more chocolate flavor, honestly.
I totally get what you mean! It’s definitely not as rich as traditional Snickers. Maybe adding more chocolate or some cocoa powder could help?
Never made these before but they werenāt too hard. I had some trouble finding almond butter tho.
i made these and they were a hit at my party! people were blown away! š
That sounds amazing! I’ve been wanting to try these. What kind of nuts did you use?
Really? I tried making them and they didn’t turn out like yours. Not sure what I did wrong.
Amazing recipe! These tasted just like real Snickers, but better! Healthy and yummy! Definitely making these again!
These are shockingly close to the Snickers vibeāsweet, salty, and the nut crunch is perfect. The date base is doing all the heavy lifting. Will definitely make again.
Yes!! Iāve been hunting for something that hits that sweet/salty/nut crunch and this sounds *exactly* like it. Going to try with cashews next time š
I am not a chef and found this hard. Just throwing everything together. Nah.
Super easy to make. My kids loved helping out! Two thumbs up from the whole family!
Uhhh, I forgot to put salt in… are they ruined? Help!
I think 1 hour is optimistic. I left mine overnight and the cuts were way cleaner. If you try to cut too early, itāll crumble.
I thought these were gonna be super hard to make, but they were easy! Gonna make them again!
Very easy to make but they don’t look like the pictures. Oh well, still tasty!
Snickers? More like…snicker-don’t! š
Haha, that’s a good one! But I gotta say, I tried this recipe, and it’s really tasty! Can’t believe it’s healthy!
These are AMAZING! I can’t believe they are healthy! My kids devoured them!
Wow! I’m so glad to hear that! These really are a great alternative for kids. What did you tell them they were?
I followed it exactly and it was way too sweet for me. Also blending dates took longer than the recipe makes it sound. Would reduce dates or chocolate maybe.
These are amazing! My kids loved them too. Definitely a healthier alternative to regular candy bars!
I dunno, sounds a bit too healthy for me. Can you really call it a Snickers if itās healthy? š¤
Totally agree! My kids can’t get enough of them. It’s great not worrying about the sugar content.
1 cup dark chocolate sounds like a lot. I did it anyway and now the bars feel kinda rich and heavy. The filling is tasty, but the chocolate layer dominates.
I thought it was a bit too sweet. Maybe less dates next time?
Super easy to make and my kids loved them! Great snack for the whole family.
Yum! This is like a healthy candy bar! Great for a quick sweet fix. Will definitely make again.
I tried this recipe but my kids were kinda iffy about the coconut milk. Maybe too tropical for them? Still love the idea though!
Healthy treats are the best! My new go-to recipe for snack time! š«š.
I was skeptical at first, but they taste pretty good. Not exactly like candy tho.
Yum! I swapped the nuts for sunflower seeds, still tasty. Love it.
These didn’t taste like Snickers at all. More like a health bar. Disappointed.
10/10 would make again! Really good stuff, just like candy. š¤¤
I totally agree! These are like a healthy dessert miracle! š
These are good but I probably wonāt make again. Too many steps for a snack, and I donāt always have full-fat coconut milk on hand.
I tried this recipe and it was sooo simple! My kids loved it. Thanks for sharing!
YUM! My new favorite snack! Great idea, thank you!
Good recipe but took longer than I thought with all the freezing! Next time Iāll prep better.
I made these and they fell apart like a sandcastle at the beach… š©.
These are AMAZING! I never thought healthy could taste this good. Can’t wait to make them again!
Looks good, but isn’t chocolate bad for you? I thought paleo was all about avoiding sugar and fats?
This is not a Snickers! Where is the caramel!? Disappointed.
Super easy to make! Just blended and mixed everything, turned out great. Will make again!
So rich and chocolaty! Just what I needed for my dessert cravings. Yum!
Can I use regular milk instead of coconut milk? I don’t like coconut.
These actually scratch the Snickers itch! The dates + almond butter combo is super rich, and the freezer set is perfect. I added a tiny bit more salt and it really popped.
I tried this and it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Maybe less dates next time?
I agree with you! I found it sweet too. Less dates would help a lot! Have you tried adding some salt to balance it out?
Too sweet? Nah, I loved it! Maybe you should just try using less chocolate instead?
These are AMAZING! So close to real Snickers but much healthier. My kids love them too!
I just made these and they taste fantastic! Way better than store-bought. Thanks for sharing!
Loveā¤ļø
This looks amazing! Can’t wait to try it! ā¤ļø
Is this even paleo? I heard chocolate isnāt allowed on paleo diet??
I thought paleo meant no sweets? This recipe is confusing. How can it be healthy if it has chocolate? š¤
Chocolate is actually allowed in moderation on a paleo diet as long as it’s dark chocolate! Don’t worry too much about it!
Nice recipe, but I would add some honey for more sweetness.
Honey would be a great addition! It could really enhance the flavor. Thanks for the tip!
These are AMAZING! I didn’t think they would taste this good. Definitely a keeper! š«
Can you use peanut butter instead of almond butter? I’m allergic to almonds! Also, great recipe!
Yes, peanut butter would work just fine! It’s a great substitute, and I’m glad you’re excited about the recipe! Enjoy! š
Just a bunch of mush. Didn’t work out for me at all. Not recommended.
Do I really have to use almond butter? Can I use peanut butter instead?
Soo much sugar in dates! Are you sure this is healthy? I’m skeptical. Just saying.
I followed the recipe, but mine didnāt set. What did I do wrong? š©
These are AMAZING! A healthier version that still satisfies my sweet tooth. 5 stars!
Yas!!! Snickers for life!!! Healthy version too! Who knew??
Looks like a lot of work for some bars. I prefer the store-bought Snickers.
These are AMAZING! So much better than real candy bars.
I was skeptical because paleo ācandyā usually ends up tasting like health food. This one actually tastes like dessert thoughālike, genuinely. Great texture.
Super easy to make and no baking, love that. I used peanut butter instead of almond butter (had to) and it still worked.
Iām skeptical about calling it āhealthyā when itās basically dates, nuts, and chocolate⦠but honestly it tastes great. Portion size matters though.
These are AMAZING! I can’t believe they’re healthy! My kids love them too.
Not sure about the textureāmine came out softer than expected even after an hour in the freezer. Maybe my coconut milk was different? Still tasty though.
These are so good! Made them for my kids and they loved it! True winner!
Not bad, but I think it could use more chocolate. I like my snickers chocolatey!
I totally agree! More chocolate would make it awesome! Can’t have a snickers without that extra chocolatey goodness! š«
I made these for a party and everyone was blown away! Will definitely make again.
I followed the recipe but they turned out super sticky and messy. What did I do wrong? š¤
Maybe you didn’t blend the dates enough? They need to be really smooth for it to work. Don’t worry, I’ve had sticky issues too! š
Mine turned out a bit too sticky to cut cleanly (like it smeared). I think I shouldāve frozen longer or let it sit a minute before slicing. Flavor is still good.
Healthy snickers? what a joke. sorry but this is a stretch!
My food processor struggled with the datesāhad to scrape constantly. After I added a tiny bit more coconut milk it finally smoothed out. Worth the effort.
Not sure why it says ‘paleo’ but has chocolate. Isn’t chocolate not paleo?
Alright but takes forever to make. I like instant gratification!
Waaay too sweet for me. I won’t make these again. š¤¢
The pinch of salt matters! I used flaky salt instead of regular and it really popped against the dark chocolate.
So easy to make! I swapped almond butter for peanut butter, still great!
I tried it but the texture was off for me. It didn’t hold together well. Maybe I did something wrong?
Not for me. I prefer traditional candy bars; these just don’t satisfy my sweet tooth.
I get that! Traditional candy bars have that classic sweetness that’s hard to replicate. But these are a great alternative if you want something healthier. Just takes some getting used to, I guess!
I don’t know about this. Aren’t Snickers supposed to have nougat or something? This is just nuts n chocolate!
I get your point! This is definitely a healthier version. But it’s still tasty š. It’s just not the classic Snickers we all know.
YUM! I used peanut butter instead of almond butter… so good!
I didn’t have almond butter, so I used peanut butter. Still tasted good!
Peanut butter is fine too! Glad you enjoyed it! š
nutty and chocolatey, just how I like it! Definitely making these again! š«š
Wow, these sound delicious! Can’t wait to try making them myself. š¤¤
I dunno, they sound kinda healthy but also like a candy bar. Is it really good for you? š¤
Good idea, but I found the mixture a little thick/sticky to spread. Next time Iāll warm the coconut milk or let it sit a few minutes so it spreads easier.
Totally agreeāmy batch gets thicker too. Warming the coconut milk a bit (or letting the whole mixture rest 5-10 min) makes a huge difference for spreading.
Hmm maybe I did it wrong? I didnāt warm anything and it still spread⦠but mine was more like paste and I had to push it with a spoon. Next time Iāll try your trick though š
Hmmm, doesnāt sound like a real Snickers to me. Where’s the nougat? š¤
Why do people put dates in sweets? They are just fruits. I prefer real candy.
Yuck! I don’t know what I did wrong but it tasted like mush. Never again!
Very easy recipe but a bit too sweet for my taste. I guess that’s the dates?
Simple and quick! Even my kids loved them. Thanks for sharing!
These bars are amazing! They satisfy my sweet tooth without the guilt. Definitely a keeper!
I’m glad to hear you loved them! I also feel great about indulging in something that’s healthier. What’s your favorite part of the recipe?
I tried making these but they didn’t turn out as good. Maybe I messed up the chocolate melting part. Any tips?
Pretty solid healthier version. I used cashew butter instead of almond and it was still great, not too sweet. Next time Iāll go a little heavier on the salt.
I substituted peanut butter for almond butter since I don’t have it. Still turned out decent.
Why does it need coconut milk? I subbed yogurt and it turned into a weird paste. The freezing part maybe also matters. Wonāt try again.
Yum! My new favorite homemade treat! š
Easy to make, but I don’t think they taste like Snickers. I like them plain though!
I think they taste great! Theyāre not exactly like Snickers but still super yummy. š¤¤
I tried this recipe but didn’t have almond butter so I used peanut butter instead. It was okay, but not like a Snickers at all.
