When you’re craving something light yet satisfying, Grilled Chicken and Daikon Radish Salad is the perfect choice. This dish brings together the smoky flavor of grilled chicken with the crisp, refreshing bite of daikon radish, creating a salad that’s not only healthy but also full of texture and flavor. It’s a fantastic option for a quick lunch, a light dinner, or even as a side dish to complement other meals.
Daikon radish, a staple in many Asian cuisines, is known for its mildly sweet flavor and crunchy texture. When paired with grilled chicken, it adds a refreshing contrast while soaking up any flavorful dressings or marinades. The thinly sliced daikon adds just the right amount of crunch and lightness, making it a perfect companion to the tender, juicy grilled chicken.
The grilled chicken is seasoned simply to allow its natural flavor to shine through. Whether you marinate it with a little soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil or season it with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, the smoky char from the grill enhances the chicken’s flavor, giving the salad depth and richness. This grilled chicken, combined with the freshness of the daikon radish, creates a balanced meal that’s both filling and light on the stomach.
The salad can be further enhanced with ingredients like shredded carrots, fresh cilantro, or a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. For added flavor, a tangy sesame dressing or a light soy-based vinaigrette can be drizzled over the top, complementing the natural sweetness of the daikon and the savory chicken.
Grilled Chicken and Daikon Radish Salad is not only nutritious but also incredibly refreshing. With its mix of protein, crunch, and bright flavors, this salad is the perfect way to enjoy a healthy, satisfying meal that won’t weigh you down. It’s an easy dish to prepare, making it ideal for busy days when you want something quick but flavorful.

This combo is so fresh and bright—lime + sesame on the salad with grilled chicken is perfect. I added a pinch of chili flakes and it turned out amazing.
I’m not sure about the sesame oil… I used too much once and it tasted kinda bitter. But if you used just 1 tbsp like the recipe, maybe it works. Also, daikon is harder to find for me 😅
Yes!! Lime + sesame is such a game changer. I tried it once and now I’m obsessed—your chili flakes addition sounds spot on.
I didn’t really like the daikon. Maybe it’s just not my taste, but I won’t be making this again.
Why did you even use daikon? It ain’t that good. Stick to lettuce or something else!
I actually love daikon! It’s great in salads. Maybe try a different veggie next time?
Grilled chicken is always the best. Yum!
I totally agree! Grilled chicken is just so delicious, especially with a fresh salad.
Not sure, isn’t chicken a bit dry sometimes? I’ve had bad experiences grilling it.
Too much lime juice for my liking. It overpowers the chicken flavor.
Yummy! I added extra soy sauce and it was even better. Thanks for sharing!
My whisking was a mess—lime + sesame oil separated and made it look gross, but after tossing it tasted fine.
Too many ingredients. I prefer simpler salad recipes, sorry!
Yum! My husband loved it too. Will make again, for sure! 👏
Super duper easy recipe, my grandma would’ve loved it. Making it again next week for sure! Thanks!
Meh, I thought it was bland. Should’ve added more spices or something.
I found this recipe to be really easy to follow! The chicken came out juicy and the dressing was sooo good. Only I added some chili flakes for a kick!
Are you sure it was easy? Seems like a lot of ingredients to me. I don’t know if I could handle all that chopping.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! The chili flakes sound like a great addition. I’ll try that next time!
Quick and easy! I swapped the sesame oil with olive oil and it worked fine. Yum!
A bit too many greens for me. I prefer my salads with more meat.
I get what you’re saying! Adding some bacon or grilled chicken could really make this salad pop! Meat makes everything better! 🥓
I substituted the daikon with regular radish. Not sure if it was the same but still pretty good!
This recipe is amazing! The grilled chicken was so juicy. I’ll definitely make it again!
Grilled chicken came out juicy, and the rest of it is like a Vietnamese-ish salad. Very satisfying for summer.
This recipe is too complicated. Who has time to grill chicken and make a salad?
meh. way too many herbs for my taste. plus grilling chicken that fast feels risky.
Totally get it—cilantro + mint can be a lot. I’d do half of each next time and see how it lands for you.
meh. i like herbs but 4-5 minutes per side seems too quick to me 😬 chicken dries out fast.
Super good! I love the mint and cilantro combo. It brings everything together. 🌟
It was ok, but too tangy for my taste. Maybe less lime next time?
Less lime? Nah, I think the lime is what makes it fresh! But to each their own.
I actually loved the tangy flavor! It really made the dish pop for me. But do adjust it if that’s not your thing.
