If you’re looking for a healthy, no-fuss breakfast or snack, banana chia pudding is a delicious go-to. Creamy, naturally sweet, and packed with nutrients, this easy recipe is perfect for busy mornings or when you just need something light yet satisfying.
Made with only a few ingredients – ripe banana, chia seeds, milk (any kind you like), and a touch of vanilla, this pudding comes together in minutes. The magic happens while it sits in the fridge. As the chia seeds soak, they expand and create a thick, pudding-like texture that feels indulgent but is actually good for you.
To prepare it, mash a ripe banana until smooth, then stir in chia seeds, milk, and a dash of vanilla extract. Let the mixture chill for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best texture. The banana adds natural sweetness, so you often don’t need any added sugar, but if you like, a drizzle of maple syrup or honey works well too.
Once set, the pudding is creamy with just the right amount of chew. You can enjoy it on its own or layer it with toppings like sliced banana, berries, shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or a spoonful of nut butter. It also makes a great base for breakfast parfaits.
What makes banana chia pudding especially appealing is how customizable it is. Use almond, oat, coconut, or dairy milk depending on your preference. You can also blend the ingredients before chilling for a smoother texture.
Aside from being tasty, chia pudding is full of health benefits. Chia seeds are high in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and protein. Combined with potassium-rich bananas, this is a great way to fuel your body and satisfy your sweet tooth at the same time.
So the next time you’re in need of a make-ahead breakfast or an easy snack, give banana chia pudding a try. It’s creamy, wholesome, and incredibly easy, a little jar of goodness ready whenever you are.

This is soooo good! I added some peanut butter and it was awesome. Can’t believe how easy it is!
I tried this but it didn’t thicken for me… What did I do wrong? I followed everything!
Yummy! I love bananas, and this is a great way to use them up. I might skip the honey next time tho.
Bananas and pudding?? Sounds weird. Never heard of that. Must be a hipster thing. 🤔
I thought it was weird too, but it’s actually delicious! You gotta try it!
Sounds like a recipe for disaster! Just eat a banana rather than mixing it with pudding, lol.
It’s a nice healthy alternative to dessert, but chia seeds kind of give me a weird texture vibe. Not my favorite.
I love it! Chia gives it a nice crunch. But I guess it’s not for everyone. You can skip them if you want.
I totally get the texture issue with chia seeds! They can be a bit funky. Maybe try blending them longer next time? Hope it helps!
Too sweet for my taste. I’ll reduce the honey next time. Still, it’s not bad.
I totally get it! Honey can really sweeten things up. Have you tried using less or even just skipping it? The bananas are sweet enough!
I don’t think it’s sweet at all! I added extra honey and loved it. Maybe your bananas were too ripe?
I was skeptical about chia seeds at first… but wow, this pudding is surprisingly good! Will make again.
Uhh, can I use regular milk instead of almond milk? My family dont like that nut milk stuff.
I followed the recipe but it turned out way too thick for my taste. Maybe less chia seeds next time?
This pudding is amazing! The bananas make it so sweet and creamy. I added a few chocolate chips on top for extra flavor. Will definitely make again!
OMG! Love it! ❤️
Tried it and honestly it was pretty bland. Not sure why everyone raves about it 🤷♂️
I was skeptical about chia seeds but they really do plump up! My new favorite snack!
Okay, but how can a seed be a snack? Seems a little odd to me.
I always thought chia seeds were just hype, but this pudding sounds tasty! I gotta try it out!
Honestly, I thought this was gonna taste weird with such a mix, but it was surprisingly good! Will make again!
I’m glad you liked it! It’s so easy to make and healthy too! I love how versatile chia pudding can be. You can add so many toppings.
Honestly, I don’t get how that’s a good mix. Chia seeds by themself taste bland. Are you sure you didn’t just add a lot of sweetener?
This is absolutely delicious! I added a sprinkle of cinnamon and it took it to the next level. My kids loved it too!
Dunno why people like this so much, it’s just mushy and bland. I am going back to store-bought snacks.
This pudding looks easy but took me forever to blend the bananas. Maybe my blender is just not good.
Blending bananas ain’t hard! Just mash ’em with a fork if your blender is slow. Might be easier! But pudding looks yummy!
I totally get it! My old blender takes forever too. Maybe you should invest in a better one for smoother blends. But the pudding is worth it!
This is a great recipe! I used coconut milk instead of almond milk and it was fantastic! 🥥
YUMMMMMM ❤️ Perfect for breakfast!
Totally agree, it’s so delicious! I can’t get enough of banana pudding! 😋
Yum! 😍 Can’t wait to make this again. Perfect for breakfast.
I loved this recipe! Super easy and delicious! My kids ate it up! 😊
My sister says it tastes like baby food… but I like it! So I guess it’s just a matter of opinion haha!
Chia is good for health but why it takes so long to thicken? It makes me bad impatient!
I’m not a cook, but I was able to whip this together! Thanks for the easy steps!
Yummy! I topped it with nuts and a bit of chocolate syrup! 😋
Recipe looks fine but I don’t have almond milk. Can I use regular milk?
Simple and healthy! My new breakfast go-to! Just don’t forget the nuts on top! 🥜
Healthy and filling! Just what I needed for my diet.
Yeah, this is super healthy! I added some blueberries too. So good!
Yummy! I’m trying to eat healthier and this is a good start. Even my kids liked it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That sounds great! My kids are picky, so it’s awesome you found something they like too! 😊
I’m not a fan of chia seeds, they are like little bugs in my mouth. 1 star for me!
