The instructions were clear. Al dente spaghetti + tender shrimp = chef’s kiss. I topped mine with parsley like it says and it looked fancy.

  2. 4 stars
Pretty good, but I think 1 lb shrimp might be too much for 8 oz spaghetti unless you really like a lot of shrimp. Next time I’ll use a little less or add more lemon sauce.

That’s awesome! Always looking for quick meals. How do you manage to get your kids to eat shrimp? Mine won’t touch it!

I can’t eat shrimp. Used chicken instead and it turned out fine!

Didn’t turn out as expected. My shrimp got too tough. What did I do wrong?

Right?? This one feels effortless but still tastes restaurant-level. The lemon + garlic combo is perfect.

    2. User avatar mike.klocko says:

      3 stars
Simple yes… but I always worry I’ll overcook shrimp. Do you just watch for pink, or set a timer? Mine got rubbery last time 😅

  7. User avatar percy.torp2019 says:

    3 stars
I followed the steps exactly, and my shrimp got a little rubbery after 3 minutes each side. Maybe my pan was too hot? Flavor was still good though—love the garlic + lemon combo.

  8. User avatar Barliman Butterbur says:

    3 stars
Smells amazing but mine was kinda dry 😕 I think I should’ve used more olive oil or lemon. Anyway, I’ll retry.

  9. User avatar cari.von2018 says:

    3 stars
I followed step 3 carefully—mine turned a little rubbery because I cooked them too long trying to “make sure.” Still good, just not as tender as I hoped.

  10. User avatar Chaurus Hunter says:

    5 stars
Delicious! I added some red pepper flakes for an extra kick!

    1. User avatar bernetta.lueilwitz says:

I love the idea of adding red pepper flakes! It really enhances the flavor. I’ll try that next time!

    2. User avatar julee.greenholt73 says:

      2 stars
Red pepper flakes? Really? I don’t think it goes with shrimp. Seems a bit odd to me.

  11. 3 stars
I followed it exactly and it was… fine? The sauce felt a bit thin and I wanted more coating. Maybe add a splash of pasta water? Also, more black pepper would help.

  12. User avatar roscoe.emard72 says:

    5 stars
Made this tonight—so bright and garlicky without being overpowering. The lemon really wakes up the shrimp. I added a pinch of red pepper flakes and it was perfect.

I don’t know… seems too plain for my taste. Where’s the flavor?

    2. 5 stars

I’m glad you liked it! Garlic and shrimp are a match made in heaven. Have you tried adding some red pepper flakes for a kick?

  16. User avatar elroy.anderson78 says:

I don’t get why everyone loves lemon with shrimp. It’s ok, but to me it tastes like dish soap-ish? maybe I used the wrong lemon.

    1. User avatar Orange Dartwing says:

      3 stars
Maybe you added too much zest or used old lemon? I once bought a bag of lemons that were kinda… meh, and it tasted weird with shrimp. I’d try less zest next time and add the lemon juice at the end.

    2. User avatar elizabeth.kassulke says:

      4 stars
Totally get you—lemon can go “soapy” if it’s really bitter or if the zest is from a bad lemon. I usually zest very lightly (just the yellow), then juice it. Also fresh shrimp helps a lot.

  17. User avatar karyl.stokes82 says:

    5 stars
Made this tonight and it was bright and super flavorful. The lemon really pops, and the garlic smell is unreal. I used fresh parsley too—highly recommend!

  18. User avatar ShanksOnePiece says:

    1 star
Meh. It’s just spaghetti and shrimp. Nothing special.

  19. User avatar blaine.damore2016 says:

    4 stars
Not bad, but could use more sauce. The olive oil helps, yet it feels a bit dry after tossing. Maybe add a splash of pasta water?

  20. User avatar armandina.daugherty24 says:

    5 stars
I’m skeptical of lemon + shrimp with garlic, but wow. It’s like restaurant quality. Would serve guests without hesitation.

    1. User avatar Super Saiyan 3 Goku says:

      5 stars
Totally get the skepticism, but the lemon really balances the garlic and brings the shrimp to life. I tried it once and now it’s my go-to for company—takes like 20 minutes too.

  21. 2 stars
I don’t understand the appeal. Too much lemon for me. Wouldn’t recommend.

  22. 3 stars
I tried this but used chicken instead of shrimp because I don’t like seafood. Wasn’t as good, but my kids liked it!

  23. 5 stars
Absolutely loved this recipe! The shrimp turned out perfect. Will make it again!

    1. User avatar alvaro.block71 says:

      5 stars
Yum! Can’t wait to try it myself! Shrimp is my fave.

    2. User avatar bernardo.schneider13 says:

      2 stars
I don’t know, sounds too simple. Will it really taste good? 🤔

  24. User avatar lee.terry says:

    2 stars
Not sure why ppl rave about this. I followed exact steps and it tasted bland. 🤷‍♂️

  25. 4 stars
Simple and quick, I like it. My family enjoyed it too!

  26. 4 stars
Really good flavor, but I wish the garlic instructions were a tiny bit more specific. Mine went from fragrant to slightly bitter around the 2-minute mark. Still tasted great though.

  27. 4 stars
I think it could use more garlic. I mean, who doesn’t love garlic, right? But overall, it was pretty good.

  28. 2 stars
Tried this recipe last night. Shrimp was rubbery and didn’t cook well. Not my favorite.

    1. 4 stars
Sorry to hear that! Maybe the shrimp was overcooked? It can happen pretty easily if you leave it too long.

  29. User avatar anisa.carroll43 says:

    3 stars
It was ok, but I think it needed more seasoning. Maybe try a pinch of chili flakes?

  30. User avatar Mariano Mills V says:

    5 stars
This recipe was amazing! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the lemon really gives it a fresh taste.

  31. User avatar antonina.hermann1964 says:

    4 stars
This was good, but I think my garlic went a bit too far—maybe I sautéed longer than 2 minutes. Still tasty, just less mellow.

  32. User avatar Boyce Klein says:

    5 stars
Followed the steps pretty much exactly. Shrimp cooked perfectly (not rubbery at all). Next time I might add a pinch of chili flakes for a little kick.

  33. User avatar Tryndamere says:

    4 stars
Can I sub the olive oil with butter? Sounds tasty too! 🤔

  34. User avatar tisa.schuster25 says:

    5 stars
My kids actually ate it without complaining, so that’s a win. I zested a whole lemon like the recipe says and it was flavorful.

    1. 5 stars
Haha that IS a win! My kids usually complain if anything smells “garlicky,” but lemon seems to make it more friendly. Did you use fresh parsley on top too?

    2. User avatar mariella.conn20 says:

      3 stars
I don’t know… 1 lemon zest seems like a lot? I usually do like half and more juice. Also my shrimp always overcooks if I do 3 minutes each side 😂

  35. 4 stars
Good but I messed up the cooking time… shrimp got too tough. Be careful!

  36. User avatar Warren Bayer V says:

    5 stars
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about the lemon with shrimp and spaghetti… but it turned out really nice. Light, not heavy. Would make again.

    1. User avatar kurtis.halvorson42 says:

      3 stars
I was skeptical too but maybe my lemon was weak? I followed it and it was kinda good… not like “wow” though. Still, I’d try again with more zest. Kinda messy with the juice lol.

    2. User avatar jack.hirthe47 says:

      5 stars
Same here—I thought the lemon would be too sharp with shrimp, but your comment sold me. Light and not heavy is exactly what I want for dinner. 😄

  37. User avatar yahaira.harber1996 says:

    1 star
It’s just pasta and shrimp, not really a ‘recipe,’ come on! I could have figured this out myself.

  38. User avatar agueda.abshire1980 says:

    2 stars
I’m skeptical about cooking the shrimp just 2-3 minutes per side. Mine were overcooked and chewy after I tossed them back in with the pasta. Maybe I should’ve pulled them earlier.

  39. User avatar serita.hammes92 says:

    4 stars
Directions were clear, but I wish it said to keep the heat medium-low once garlic starts, because garlic burns fast. I learned the hard way 😅

  40. User avatar MrsLucyG says:

    1 star
Sounds tasty but I’m skeptical—lemon on shrimp pasta feels weird to me. Hope it’s not too sour.

  41. User avatar Hillman Hunter says:

    3 stars
It was okay… I thought it needed more flavor. Maybe add some chili flakes?

  42. 5 stars
Made this for my family and they all loved it! Simple and delicious.

  43. User avatar Al Kaholic says:

    5 stars
Made this tonight—bright, garlicky, and super quick. The lemon zest really makes it pop. I added a pinch of red pepper flakes and it was perfect.

    1. 5 stars
Awesome! I agree—lemon zest is the secret weapon here. That red pepper pinch sounds like it would bring it to the next level.

  44. User avatar ronna.boehm1992 says:

    4 stars
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about 1 lb shrimp for only 8 oz spaghetti. But it was actually balanced and felt restaurant-y. Would make again.

  45. 5 stars
Yum!! It was simple and quick to make. Just what I needed after a long day! My new fav recipe!

  46. User avatar dave.fay85 says:

    2 stars
Spaghetti was too chewy lol I boiled it too long maybe? I’m not good with cooking.

  47. User avatar carisa.rutherford1981 says:

    5 stars
This is delicious, but I was skeptical about how little olive oil there is. Turns out it’s enough because of the lemon juice—nice trick!

  48. User avatar elroy.paucek says:

    3 stars
Wasn’t great, but it was okay. Next time, I might try with different seafood.

    1. User avatar steve.gusikowski says:

      4 stars
I feel you! Sometimes the seafood can be hit or miss. What kind were you thinking to try next?

  49. User avatar crysta.keeling62 says:

    4 stars
Garlic smelled amazing… then I accidentally burned mine because I’m impatient lol. Still, once I mixed everything in it recovered.

  50. User avatar jame.waters1981 says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but I wish there was more sauce. The lemon juice kind of evaporated for me. Maybe I used a smaller lemon?

    1. User avatar george.torp80 says:

      5 stars
Totally get that—this dish is more “zesty” than super saucy. I usually add the lemon juice right at the end (after tossing) so it doesn’t cook off too much. Also, if your lemon was smaller, the amount can easily fall short—maybe use 2 smaller lemons or even a splash of broth/water to loosen it up.

  51. User avatar alyce.swaniawski12 says:

    1 star
Lemon garlic spaghetti? More like lemon overload. I couldn’t even finish it.

  52. 5 stars
Luv it! Going to make it on the weekend for my friends!!!

  53. User avatar liberal.hero says:

    4 stars
The steps are straightforward, and I like that. I added mushrooms because I had them. Not traditional, but it was tasty.

  54. User avatar wellRespected says:

    4 stars
Pretty good for a weeknight. I didn’t have parsley so I used dried Italian herbs and it worked. Also I added a splash of pasta water and it made the sauce cling better.

    1. User avatar Michael83 says:

      5 stars
Nice! I’m glad it worked with dried herbs—parsley is easy to swap. And yeah, pasta water helps a ton with clinging.

  55. User avatar Meriadoc Brandybuck says:

    4 stars
Garlic can be tricky—mine browned too fast, but I scraped it and carried on. The dish recovered and still tasted good. Definitely don’t walk away at the sauté stage.

  56. User avatar traci.hauck says:

    3 stars
Quick and easy to make, but the garlic flavor was way too strong. I’m not sure if I’ll make it again.

  57. User avatar shonta.jacobi says:

    5 stars
This was amazing! The lemon gives it such a fresh taste. Will make it again!

    1. 5 stars
So glad you liked it! The lemon really does make a difference. 🌟

  58. User avatar chang.bechtelar says:

    5 stars
This was absolutely delicious! My family devoured it. Thanks for sharing!

    1. User avatar angelic.rohan says:

      5 stars
So glad you liked it! It’s a family favorite at my house too. 😊

  59. User avatar berry.mosciski says:

    4 stars
Loved how quick it was. My shrimp overcooked slightly the second batch (oops), but the sauce still tasted great. Next time I’ll pull them the moment they turn pink.

  60. 4 stars
Pretty good, but I think the garlic might’ve been a little too long on the heat—mine turned slightly bitter. Next time I’ll keep a closer eye on the 1–2 minutes.

  61. User avatar tissues_with_issues says:

    3 stars
Not sure why but my lemon flavor was kinda sharp, like it needed butter to smooth it out. I’ll try adding a small knob next time.

    1. 5 stars
That makes sense—lemon juice can taste a bit harsh if it’s heavy on the juice or the shrimp/garlic reduce too fast. A little butter (or even a touch more olive oil and a quick toss off-heat) could round it out nicely.

  62. User avatar loan.nicolas1998 says:

    4 stars
This recipe is a keeper, but why so much garlic? I only used 2 cloves.

    1. User avatar tissues_with_issues says:

      4 stars
I think garlic gives it flavor! But two cloves is still good. Everyone has their own taste, I guess!

  63. User avatar major.emard52 says:

    5 stars
I’m gonna be honest: lemon + shrimp + garlic is always a win, and this didn’t disappoint. The aroma while cooking the garlic… wow.

  64. User avatar woodrow.mosciski37 says:

    4 stars
Super easy to make! I’m not a great cook but this turned out good! 😁

  65. User avatar Falmer Archer says:

    2 stars
I’m skeptical about the 1–2 min garlic—mine went a little brown and got bitter, so I had to start over. Still edible though, just not as nice as I expected.

  66. User avatar jammie.miller17 says:

    5 stars
5 stars! This is going into my regular dinner rotation. Love it!

  67. 5 stars
Absolutely delicious! The lemon adds a perfect tang. Will make again for sure!

  68. User avatar ozzie.russel54 says:

    4 stars
I made this and it was great but I forgot the parsley. Still tasted amazing though!

    1. 5 stars
Glad to hear it turned out well! Parsley is nice but not necessary. I bet it was still bold with all that flavor from the garlic and lemon!

    2. 3 stars
No parsley? That’s like a pizza without cheese! But if you liked it, who am I to judge? 😂

  69. User avatar parker.luettgen says:

    4 stars
Could’ve used more sauce. I ended up adding a splash of pasta water when tossing, and then it was perfect. Maybe that should be in the instructions?

  70. User avatar Mr. Williams Volkman says:

    4 stars
1-2 minutes for garlic seems short—mine would’ve burned if I did that, so I did like 30 seconds. Flavor was still great. Maybe medium heat matters a lot.

    1. User avatar brent.denesik1956 says:

      5 stars
I agree—garlic can go from fragrant to burnt fast. I usually keep it closer to 30–45 seconds on medium, and if the pan’s hotter than expected it’s even less. Your flavor note makes sense though.

  71. User avatar philomena.littel97 says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but I think it needed something creamy or a little heat (like chili flakes). Olive oil + lemon + garlic is great, just felt a bit too simple without extra seasoning.

  72. User avatar basementDweller says:

    5 stars
Made this tonight and it was bright and super tasty. The lemon + garlic combo really pops, and the shrimp cooked perfectly in that short time.

  73. User avatar christopher.ritchie says:

    5 stars
The shrimp cooked fast like the recipe says—2-3 minutes each side was spot on. Next time I’ll save a bit of pasta water to loosen the sauce.

  74. User avatar alverta.rohan11 says:

    2 stars
I tried this and it was too sour for me. I think less lemon would be better.

    1. User avatar preston.murazik42 says:

      2 stars
Sour? Nah, that’s just the flavor! You gotta embrace the zest! 😜

    2. User avatar Spriggan Matron says:

      4 stars
I totally get that! The lemon can be really strong. Maybe try using half as much next time? 😄

  75. 2 stars
Too lemony for my taste. I think it could be better with a dash of cream or something. Not impressed.

    1. User avatar maynard.stiedemann22 says:

      4 stars
I totally agree! The lemon is way too strong. A hint of cream would balance it out nicely, I think.

  76. User avatar steve_maga says:

    4 stars
Pretty easy weeknight recipe. My shrimp cooked fast, but I was a little worried I overdid them. Next time I’ll start checking around 2 minutes total.

  77. User avatar nancy.hickle85 says:

    2 stars
This is kinda bland for me, sorry. Also I used lime instead of lemon and it was… interesting. Might just not be my taste.

  78. 3 stars
Meh, can we just use chicken instead of shrimp? I don’t like seafood.

    1. User avatar soo.goodwin says:

      4 stars
You can definitely substitute chicken for shrimp! It won’t have the same flavor but it can still be good. Just cook the chicken all the way through!

  79. User avatar charley.ryan16 says:

    3 stars
Eh, it was ok I guess. Just tasted like shrimp and noodles. Nothing special.

  80. User avatar antonia.balistreri1967 says:

    1 star
    Lemon shrimp?? Nah.

  81. User avatar karyl.farrell says:

    5 stars
This is one of those recipes that feels fancy but is honestly quick. Garlic in olive oil for 2 minutes is the key—don’t burn it!

  82. User avatar Leto Atreides says:

    4 stars
Pretty good overall. I’d maybe add a pinch of red pepper flakes next time for some heat, but the flavors are solid and fresh.

  83. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

I was skeptical at first, but man this recipe hit the spot! Thanks for sharing.

    1. User avatar alfred.pouros89 says:

I dunno, shrimp can be kinda tricky to cook. What if it’s undercooked? Might make ya sick!

    2. User avatar Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz says:

      5 stars
So glad you liked it! The lemon really makes it special, doesn’t it?

  84. User avatar antione.schultz1963 says:

    5 stars
This tasted kinda restaurant-y, ngl. The garlic step is key—mine browned slightly at minute 2 so I had to move fast. But overall 10/10 with a side salad.

  85. User avatar caleb.rodriguez6 says:

    3 stars
Honestly, I think this is too much lemon. It overpowers the shrimp.

    1. User avatar Feyd-Rautha Rabban says:

      4 stars
I think the lemon adds a nice zing! Maybe try using less next time if you found it too strong?

    2. User avatar Vroomfondel says:

      5 stars
Nah, I love lemon! Makes it fresh. Don’t be scared of the citrus!

  86. User avatar micheal.greenfelder says:

    2 stars
I dunno if shrimp and lemon belong together, but my husband liked it.

  87. User avatar ka.walter64 says:

Made this last night—super bright and flavorful. The lemon + garlic combo really pops, and the shrimp stayed tender. I added a pinch of chili flakes too. 10/10.

  88. User avatar Hillman Hunter says:

    5 stars
This came out super bright and flavorful—garlic + lemon is such a winning combo. I tossed a bit extra lemon zest at the end and it really popped. Would make again!

Eh, it was alright, could probably find better recipes out there. But the shrimp were nice.

  91. User avatar Genghis Khan says:

    4 stars
Pretty good, but I think 8 oz spaghetti with 1 lb shrimp is a bit shrimp-heavy (still tasty though). Next time I might reduce shrimp or add more pasta.

  92. User avatar Michael83 says:

    5 stars
    So good.

  93. User avatar Future Trunks says:

    2 stars
Tastes good, but do we gotta use shrimp? I don’t like seafood much. Can I put chicken?

  94. User avatar jeffrey.collier42 says:

I was skeptical about only olive oil for the sauce, but the lemon juice really pulls it together. Easy weeknight meal. 10/10 for effort-to-taste ratio.

  95. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

Easy to make but I would have never thought to pair shrimp with lemon like this.

Shrimp and lemon? Nah, sounds weird to me. I prefer just butter and garlic.

I was skeptical about the lemon too, but it really works! The flavors are amazing together.

Made it exactly as written and it turned out great. Shrimp cooked fast, and the sauce clung to the pasta nicely. Would love a bit more sauce next time though.

I added some red pepper flakes for spice 😋. Perfect touch!

I followed it and it turned out kinda bland. I kept tasting for salt like 3 times lol. Could be my garlic was old, idk.

Made this for dinner tonight and it was super bright and fresh. The lemon really pops, and the garlic aroma was unreal. I used a little extra zest—no regrets.

The recipe is good but I think it needs red pepper flakes. I added some and now it’s perfect for my taste.

Love that tweak! Red pepper flakes with lemon + garlic sounds like the perfect little kick—glad it hit “just right” for you.

hmm i didnt think it needed flakes? but if you like it then cool. i feel like lemon already has enough zing, so i’d go just a pinch… next time

Kinda bland for me. I used regular olive oil and not enough salt/pepper (maybe). Could also be that my lemon was less juicy. Anyone else find it needs more seasoning?

Not gonna lie, I thought it was perfect as written. Maybe your lemon was small or your shrimp was unsalted? I always zest AND juice pretty generously.

Yeah, I feel like it needs more salt too—especially since the shrimp can take seasoning without overpowering. I do extra black pepper and a bigger squeeze of lemon.

Not bad, but it felt a bit too lemony for me. Next time I’ll use half the juice and more zest, or maybe add a little butter to round it out.

Too much garlic for my taste! But my friend devoured it, so maybe it’s just me.

Naw, not a fan of shrimp. I prefer chicken pasta!

Made this for dinner tonight and it was bright and super flavorful. The lemon really wakes up the garlic and the shrimp cooked perfectly—tender, not rubbery. Will definitely repeat.

Le me try dis… lol. I didn’t have fresh lemon so I used bottled juice and it tasted flatter. Still, the garlic shrimp part was good.

Honestly lemon is overrated. Bottled or fresh, it’s just acid, right? I think the garlic and shrimp doing the heavy lifting here.

    2. 5 stars
Haha I feel you 😄 bottled lemon can be kinda flat. Fresh juice really brings the brightness with this one. Glad the garlic shrimp still hit though!
