I’m not much of a cook, but my kid helped me with this. It was fun and tasty! Thanks, Jim!

That’s great to hear! Cooking with kids is always a blast. Good job Jim for the recipe!

These were surprisingly good—super easy and the outside actually got golden. I used a little extra Italian seasoning and it tasted like comfort food but still “protein-y.”

No offense, but this looks really unhealthy. Cheese and all those eggs? Ugh!

  4. 4 stars
You could add stuff like bell peppers, right? Just a thought! 😊

  5. 4 stars
Yum! My kids loved it! I didn’t have Italian seasoning, so I used taco spice. Still great!

I don’t know about this… Chicken and eggs together? Seems weird.

  7. User avatar barbera.kerluke says:

Tasty and filling! Perfect for my meal prep this week. Thanks for sharing! 😀

  8. User avatar Vladimir Harkonnen says:

My family loved these. I didn’t have shredded chicken so I chopped cooked chicken and it worked. Next time I’ll try adding pepper.

Not gonna lie, “pods” and the oval shapes confused me 😅 Also, 350°F until golden brown—how long is that? I guessed and mine were slightly overdone.

  10. 1 star
Hmmm, not my fave… the eggs… too much egg.

    1. User avatar wallace.balistreri72 says:

      4 stars
I actually love the eggs in it! They give it such a nice texture. Maybe try adding less next time?

    2. 2 stars
What? Too much egg is like saying too much chicken! It’s a chicken dish! 😅

  11. User avatar claude.goodwin67 says:

    3 stars
Garlic powder “desired amount” is not a measurement, lol. I think I used too much Italian seasoning and it got overwhelming. Still ate them all, just not “perfect.”

  12. 3 stars
They taste okay, but next time I’m using more cheese. Needed more flavor.

  13. User avatar alton.kutch68 says:

Delicious and filling! Perfect for a quick dinner. Will make again!

These chicken pods are amazing! I made them for my family, and they loved it. So easy to follow the recipe!

    1. User avatar Lumberjack says:

      5 stars
So glad you liked them! They really are super easy and delicious! 😋

  15. 5 stars
These were super easy—mix, shape, bake. The mozzarella really helps it hold together and the flavor is solid. I added a little extra garlic powder and it came out golden and not too greasy.

    1. User avatar bart.mcclure says:

      5 stars
Love hearing this! “Mix, shape, bake” is my kind of recipe 😄 The mozzarella tip totally makes sense for holding together.

  16. User avatar marion.bruen1970 says:

    3 stars
Flavor is solid, but I think 350°F is a little too low/long depending on your oven. Mine got golden but not hot all the way through. Next time I’ll bake a bit longer or make smaller pieces.

  17. 5 stars
Protein-packed is right! Mine tasted like a cheesy chicken bite. I got impatient and made smaller ovals—baking time might need adjusting, but they were delicious regardless.

    1. User avatar gabrielle.jacobson5 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—when I make them smaller too, they brown fast! Next time I’d start checking around like 12–15 min. Glad you still liked them 😊

  18. 4 stars
Tastes great but kinda dry. Maybe add some sauce next time?

    1. 4 stars
I think you’re right! A nice sauce would totally elevate this dish. Maybe some marinara or BBQ on the side would help? Enjoying it otherwise!

  19. 5 stars
This is such a simple and delicious recipe! Tasted great and was super easy to make. Will be adding this to my regular meals!

Very good! I added some hot sauce for an extra kick. Yummy!

  22. User avatar bobbie.douglas44 says:

Why are you calling it chicken pods? That’s weird. Just call it chicken balls or something. 🤔

  23. User avatar Dan Streetmentioner says:

    3 stars
I don’t know about this recipe. Sounds too simple. Can it really be that tasty? 🤔

    1. User avatar kelle.cole says:

      5 stars
I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it turned out amazing! Simple doesn’t mean it won’t taste good. Give it a shot!

  24. User avatar hershel.raynor says:

I just threw everything into a pan and scrambled it. Close enough, lol.

    1. User avatar palmer.langworth1968 says:

      4 stars
Haha, sounds like a quick fix! But I think the baking part is kinda important for texture. 😅

  25. 2 stars
The recipe is basically just chicken and cheese—still, I like it. Could use instructions on timing (like how many minutes). “Until golden brown” is vague when you’re new.

    1. User avatar eugenie.schiller19 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—“until golden brown” is hard if you’re brand new. Maybe add an estimated time like 18–25 minutes?

  26. 3 stars
I don’t know. It seems kinda plain. Can I use chicken breast instead of shredded? 🤔

    1. 5 stars
You can definitely use chicken breast instead! Just make sure to cook it first and shred it. It’ll add some great flavor! 😊

  27. User avatar cori.shanahan30 says:

    3 stars
I like the idea, but “desired amount” for seasoning makes it tricky. I used Italian seasoning, but I think next time I’ll add salt too because mine tasted a bit flat. Still good though.

  28. 2 stars
Chicken pods? More like chicken blobs. Didn’t really work for me. 😟

  29. User avatar Dominic Vernius says:

This recipe is amazing! So easy and delicious. I added some hot sauce for a kick!

    1. User avatar tamatha.johns13 says:

      2 stars
I don’t know, sounds kinda bland. Where’s the flavor? Mozzarella just ain’t it for me.

    2. User avatar jewel.goldner36 says:

      5 stars
I totally agree! This recipe is a game changer. Hot sauce is a genius idea!

  30. User avatar jonathon.kuphal10 says:

    3 stars
I dunno, I feel like it needs more seasoning. Maybe some salt or pepper? Just felt kinda bland to me.

  31. User avatar Hillman Hunter says:

    3 stars
Idk i followed it but my mix was really wet. Maybe my shredded chicken was too moist? I added extra cheese and it fixed it. Not bad after tweaking.

    1. User avatar malcom.reilly18 says:

      5 stars
Yeah, that sounds plausible—if the shredded chicken is a bit wet, the whole mix turns runny. Extra cheese making it thicker totally checks out.

  32. User avatar felice.von says:

    4 stars
Easy to make but I forgot to oil the sheet and they kinda stuck. Lesson learned. Still tasted good tho!

  33. User avatar derek.oreilly44 says:

    3 stars
Not bad but kinda basic. Like, it’s basically chicken + cheese balls. If you want more flavor, you need way more seasoning than “desired amount.”

  34. User avatar wilhelmina.greenholt42 says:

    4 stars
Made these last night. They turned out good but not as golden as I expected. What did I do wrong?

  35. User avatar jolene.herzog says:

    5 stars
Wow, quick dinner. The mozzarella makes everything creamy, and the garlic powder hits right. I’d make these again for meal prep.

    1. User avatar Prostetnic Vogon Kwaltz says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—quick, cheesy, and super filling. I used fresh garlic once and it was even better than garlic powder.

  36. User avatar cleo.wisozk51 says:

This reads like it’s missing a step. “Place the pods”?? What pods?? I almost messed up the whole thing. Won’t try again unless it’s clarified.

  37. User avatar elina.stanton2025 says:

    5 stars
Way better than I expected. I didn’t even add much seasoning and they still tasted great. Golden brown happened faster than I thought, so keep an eye on the oven!

  38. User avatar chung.steuber2019 says:

    5 stars
Made this last night and my kids loved it! 👶 They even asked for seconds. This is a win for me!

  39. User avatar boyce.koelpin says:

    2 stars
I’m not sure about 350°F time—how long are we baking? I winged it and they browned too fast while the center was still soft.

    1. 5 stars
Good question—mine at 350°F usually takes about 18–25 minutes, depending on how thick the ovals are. I also tent with foil if they brown too fast.

  40. User avatar nolan.schmidt1985 says:

    5 stars
Yum! I put ranch dressing as a dipping sauce, soooo good!!!
