- 2 tsp garlic store-bought, minced
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs Panco preferred
- 1 package dried onion soup mix
- 1 Tbsp mustard
- 2 Tbsp milk 2% milk
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 tbsp Herb de Provance
- A-1 Steak sauce for topping
- parsley Optional for topping
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl until they are all well combined. (Except toppings)
- Even out the meat in the loaf bowl.
- Spread A-1 sauce over the top of the meatloaf in a zig-zag fashion.
- Microwave on high until the loaf is set, the juices run clear, and the meat is no longer pink inside, 20 to 35 minutes depending on the power of your microwave
- Use a meat thermometer in the center of the loaf once removed from the microwave oven. It should read at least 165° F.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes and then cut into servings and enjoy
Too much onion soup mix! It overpowered everything. I couldn’t enjoy it. Probably won’t make again.
Not bad, but the A-1 topping was a little too sweet/tangy for me. Next time I’d use less Worcestershire or add more white pepper.
I followed the recipe to a T but it turned out dry. I think I might have overcooked it. 😕
I feel you! Meatloaf can be tricky, especially in the microwave. Maybe try less time next time?
Overcooked it? Nah, my meatloaf always turns out fine. Maybe you need a better microwave or something?
This is the first time my meatloaf didn’t taste like “plain ground meat.” The herbs de Provence really came through. 10/10 with mashed potatoes.
Tried it and it came out kinda dry. I think I overcooked because I trusted the timing—next time I’m going by thermometer only. Flavor was still decent.
Not gonna lie—“Turkish Meatloaf” feels like a marketing name for an American-style meatloaf with onion soup mix. Still tasty though, especially with the A-1 zig-zag top lol.
Microwaving meatloaf? Really? That’s not how my grandma did it.. but I tried it and it worked. Crazy!
How do legums go with meatloaf? Just asking for a friend. Any vegan recipes?
This was amazing! I never thought turkey could taste so good in a meatloaf. Family loved it!
Why do I need to use ‘Herb de Provance’? I don’t even know what that is. Just using Italian seasoning.
My kids loved it! Mixed it all up and they couldn’t even tell it was turkey and chicken. Thanks for the recipe!
I made this exactly as written and it turned out juicy. The onion soup mix + Worcestershire combo is doing the heavy lifting. A-1 zig-zag on top is a little weird but totally works—great flavor!
Not what I expected. The garlic flavor was too strong for me. I think I’ll stick to traditional recipes.
I understand where you’re coming from! Garlic can be pretty overpowering sometimes. Have you tried using less or maybe roasting it first? It can mellow the flavor a lot.
Nah, garlic ain’t too strong if you ask me. That’s what makes it good! But if ya like tradish stuff, that’s cool too.
It was alright but I like my meatloaf more traditional. The A-1 sauce was weird. I struggled with it.
My husband loves A-1 sauce! It was perfect on top. Definitely a keeper. 👍
So easy to make, but I didn’t like the microwaving part. Meatloaf should be baked, right? Not for me.
OMG! Best meatloaf ever!!! So easy to make. 10/10 recommend!
Why Herb de Provance with meatloaf? I tried it and it tasted kinda perfumey. Would rather just do Italian seasoning.
Herb de Provence is fine, but 1 tbsp is a LOT. My first try tasted like “perfume” too and I swore it was the onion soup mix overpowering. Lower it to like 1 tsp-2 tsp and you’ll be good. Also microwaving 20-35 min—kinda seems off—loaf usually needs longer in an oven imo.
I get what you mean—Herbes de Provence can come off a little floral with poultry. I think Italian seasoning (or just oregano + thyme) would be a better match for the turkey/chicken combo. Next time I’d also use a bit less than 1 tbsp and see.
Meh, wasn’t that great. I’ll stick with my mom’s recipe. Too much garlic I think.
Made this last night—easy and super flavorful. The dried onion soup mix really does the heavy lifting. I followed the microwave timing and hit 165°F, juicy and not dry.
I was skeptical about microwaving a meatloaf, but it actually worked. Mine took closer to 35 minutes though (microwave’s weak). Resting helped a lot.
That’s actually pretty reassuring—microwaving meatloaf sounds wild to me but “weak microwave” tracks. Good call on resting too; letting it sit makes it less dry. I’ll try it but maybe keep an eye closer to 35 min.
I followed it exactly, except I used ketchup instead of A-1. Still delish!
Ketchup?! Really? I mean, to each their own I guess, but that sounds weird. Wouldn’t it taste too sweet?
This meatloaf was juicy and full of flavor! The A-1 sauce added a nice tang. Will definitely make again!
Very easy to make. Just mixed everything and zapped it in the microwave. Kinda cool!
My kids didn’t eat it. They said it tasted funny. I’m not sure what went wrong.
Is it just me or does anyone else think this needs more seasoning? Like, where’s the flavor at? Very bland! 3/5 stars.
I totally agree! I added some extra herbs and spices, and it made a huge difference. Definitely needs a kick!
Nah, I think it has enough flavor! Maybe you just need to season your plate more? Plus, I love A-1 on it. 😋
I don’t really do microwave meatloaf… I’m sure it works but I prefer oven roasting. That said, the ingredient list is great and I’d adapt it for the oven easily.
Quick, easy, and full of flavor! Who knew ground turkey and chicken combo could be so delicious? Cooking it in the microwave is genius!
Easy and quick! Can’t believe it’s microwaved. Saved time and tasted good. Thanks!
This tastes like a classic meatloaf vibe with a Middle Eastern-ish twist? (Not sure why I’m saying that lol.) Garlic and herbs were strong in a good way.
Interesting take 😅 I don’t really taste Middle Eastern notes though. More like classic meatloaf with Worcestershire. Also microwaving 20–35 min… isn’t that gonna be kinda dry?
Haha I get what you mean! The garlic/herbs + onion soup mix can totally give that “meatloaf but not boring” vibe. I usually add a little extra black pepper too.
This meatloaf was a hit with my family! Never thought turkey and chicken could taste this good together. I’ll be making it again for sure! 😋
I was skeptical about microwaving the meatloaf. I prefer to bake it, you know? But it turned out good for a quick meal.
Made this tonight—super juicy and flavorful. The onion soup mix + Worcestershire combo is money. I used a little extra parsley and it tasted like comfort food from a Turkish auntie (or at least my imagination).
Is it just me or does turkey not belong in meatloaf? I use beef or pork if I make it. This seems weird.
Yuck! Meatloaf should be baked, not microwaved! Who does that? Really disappointed.
I loved this recipe! Super tasty! I added some diced bell peppers for extra flavor.
Meatloaf? In the microwave? Nah, sounds weird. I couldn’t bring myself to try it. 1 star.
165°F is key—meat thermometer saved me. I like that it says to rest 5 minutes too; it actually improves slicing.
Yes!! The temp check is the whole game. I’ve overcooked turkey meatloaf before—resting 5 min sounds small but it totally helps it slice clean.
165°F is okay, but I always go by time 😅 Like 30 minutes in the oven usually works. Microwave timings are so random tho… still, I guess I’ll get a thermometer. Resting 5 min? I always forget that part lol
This recipe is totally wrong! You can’t use chicken and turkey at the same time, it’s too confusing!
I dunno, microwaving meatloaf? Sounds off. Used the oven instead, came out okay but not great. Probably won’t try again.
