Oreo Cookie Balls are the kind of treat that disappears almost as quickly as you make them. With only three main ingredients and no baking involved, they are the perfect go-to dessert when you want something quick, delicious, and crowd-pleasing. These bite-sized delights are rich, creamy, and packed with that classic cookies-and-cream flavor everyone loves.
To make them, you start with crushed Oreo cookies. The entire cookie, filling and all, gets pulsed into fine crumbs and then mixed with softened cream cheese. The result is a smooth, truffle-like dough that holds together easily. Once rolled into small balls, the mixture is chilled to firm up before getting dipped in melted chocolate.
The chocolate coating adds a smooth shell that contrasts beautifully with the soft and creamy center. You can use milk chocolate for a classic finish, white chocolate for a sweeter twist, or even dark chocolate if you want to cut the sweetness slightly. While the chocolate is still wet, you can sprinkle extra Oreo crumbs, colorful sprinkles, or a drizzle of white or dark chocolate over the top for decoration.
These cookie balls are great for parties, potlucks, or holidays. They look elegant on a dessert tray but are so simple to make that they are ideal for beginners. Plus, the recipe can be customized in endless ways. Try using different flavors of Oreos, like mint or birthday cake, or add a drop of peppermint or vanilla extract for a unique flavor.
Best of all, Oreo Cookie Balls can be made in advance. Store them in the fridge for several days or freeze them if you’re prepping for a big event. They hold their shape well and still taste amazing even after being chilled.
Whether you’re making them for a celebration or just for yourself, Oreo Cookie Balls are a fun, easy treat that always hits the spot.
