Chocolate peppermint crunch cookies are the ultimate holiday cookie, blending two classic flavors, rich chocolate and refreshing peppermint, into one irresistible bite. With the perfect balance of soft, chewy texture and a satisfying crunch, these cookies are sure to become a favorite during the festive season.
The magic of these cookies lies in the combination of high-quality cocoa and peppermint extract. The dough is made with a base of rich chocolate, giving it a deep, velvety flavor that pairs perfectly with the sharp, cool notes of peppermint. Once the dough is prepared, crushed peppermint candies or peppermint bark are folded in, adding that satisfying crunch with every bite and a burst of minty freshness.
The dough itself is soft and chewy, with a slightly crisp edge that gives way to a melt-in-your-mouth center. The crushed peppermint not only gives the cookies a beautiful holiday touch but also creates a delightful texture contrast against the smoothness of the chocolate.
Once baked, the cookies are beautifully studded with a little extra crushed peppermint on top, which adds even more crunch and a burst of color. For an extra touch of indulgence, you can dip the cooled cookies in melted chocolate and then sprinkle them with more peppermint bits, making them even more decadent.
These cookies aren’t just a treat for the taste buds; they’re also visually striking with their deep chocolate color and specks of peppermint. Whether you’re baking for a holiday party, a gift exchange, or simply to enjoy at home, chocolate peppermint crunch cookies bring festive cheer to any occasion.
Easy to make yet incredibly satisfying, these cookies are the perfect blend of sweet and minty, making them a must-bake this holiday season. Perfect for sharing or enjoying with a warm cup of cocoa, they’re sure to bring smiles to anyone who takes a bite.

The recipe was easy to follow, but they came out too soft for my taste. Maybe less baking time?
Maybe you just need to make them a little more crispy? I like chewy cookies, but you’re right, a bit less baking could help. Try it out!
I had the same issue! I cooked them for 9 minutes and they were still soft, but I like them that way. Maybe just bake a lil longer? 😄
Yummy! But do you have to cool them? I always just eat them hot.
So good! But also, why did they spread out so much? I followed the instructions! 🤷♂️
So easy to make! I added some walnuts. A++ recommend! 🍪
These cookies are amazing! The peppermint adds such a nice touch to the chocolate. My family loved them!
I dunno, peppermint and chocolate sounds weird to me. My cookies always get eaten but these might not fly in my house.
I totally agree! These cookies are a hit at our holiday gatherings. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
I tried this recipe, but my cookies turned out too flat. Maybe I did something wrong? They still tasted good tho.
Maybe you didn’t cream the butter and sugars enough! That can make a difference in texture. But I’m glad they tasted good! 👍
I don’t like peppermint at all. Could I use nuts instead? 👎
I used regular sugar instead of brown sugar. Wasn’t great. Follow the recipe!
I had trouble with the dough being too sticky. Maybe I did something wrong? Not sure if I’ll try again.
Idk, I think there’s too much peppermint. They could use more chocolate flavor.
Cookies r good but I dont like peppermint. These were ehh for me, I guess. Next time I will skip the mint.
I’m not much of a baker but this was simple enough. They look good but I’m not sure about the taste yet.
I followed the recipe exactly but they turned out super flat. Maybe my baking soda was old? Idk, 3 stars.
Quick and simple for holiday baking! Who can resist chocolate and candy?!
I added nuts instead of peppermint and they were still yummy! Not a fan of mint, but I’ll make these again.
Just the right balance of sweetness! My kids helped and they turned out perfect. Will definitely re-do! 👍
I forgot the eggs and they turned out flat. Oops! Still good though! 😂
Just made these for Christmas! They look beautiful but taste even better! Will be making them every year!
Not sure about this recipe. Peppermint and chocolate? Seems kinda weird to me.
These cookies sound delicious! I’m going to try making them for New Year’s! Thanks for sharing!
But why add peppermint? Chocolate is good on its own without weird flavors.
I totally get what you mean! Chocolate is great, but the peppermint just adds a fun twist. You should give it a try before judging! 😊
I’m not sure about mixing chocolate and peppermint. Seems a bit weird to me.
Yummy!!! Cookie heaven right here!! 🍪
Made these for my family and they loved them! Will definitely make again.
These cookies are a holiday miracle! I made them for a party and everyone loved them! 5 stars!
I’m so glad to hear that! These cookies bring back such good memories. I can’t wait to try them myself!
Are you sure they’re that good? I made a similar recipe once and it wasn’t anything special. Maybe I missed something?
Why would you put peppermint in cookies? That sounds weird. Chocolate should be alone, no mint! 😒
Cookies are a myth, but these ones are real good.
I don’t know, but the flavors just don’t mix well for me. The peppermint was too strong. 2 stars.
I bet these would be amazing with white chocolate instead of regular chips! Anyone try that?
I tried this but forgot the peppermint haha. Still tasted good, but I think I missed the point. Next time I’ll remember!
OMG, I can’t believe how good these taste! I melted some chocolate on top and now they are just perfection! 🥰
Not my cup of tea. Prefer plain chocolate cookies.
Cookies are ok. Need more cookie flavor and less peppermint maybe? 2 stars because my son liked them.
I get what you’re saying! Too much peppermint can be overpowering. Maybe try less next time? The cookie base is yummy though!
These cookies are amazing! The peppermint adds such a nice touch. 😍
These cookies are so good! Perfect mix of chocolate and peppermint. My family loved them!
Way too sweet for my taste. I didn’t enjoy it, might cut down the sugar next time.
These cookies are AMAZING! The combination of chocolate and peppermint is perfect for the holidays. I’ll definitely be making these again!
Yummy! So festive and delicious. I shared them with my family and they devoured them in minutes. A hit!
