Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large,
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peppermint candies crushed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
  • Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes, or until set.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
