Blend it until smooth, strain if you prefer a pulp-free drink, and pour it over more ice. For an extra touch of elegance, garnish with a mint sprig or a small wedge of watermelon on the rim of the glass. If you’re hosting, you can even add a splash of sparkling water or a hint of honey, depending on your taste.

This drink is a favorite at picnics, pool parties, or as a midday pick-me-up when you want something hydrating and flavorful without turning to sugary sodas. Easy to make but not sure if I like mint in my drink…@_@

  2. 3 stars
This is very simple. I dunno, feels like just blended watermelon. But the lemon garnish makes it look fancy, so… 4 cups watermelon is a lot though.

Nah, it’s not just watermelon. Mint cuts the sweetness and makes it taste cooler. I always add a squeeze of lemon inside the blender too, not only as garnish.

I get what you mean—it’s basically a blended watermelon drink, but the mint + lemon lift it a lot. 4 cups sounds like a ton though, unless you’re making a couple big glasses!

  3. User avatar goldie.dibbert12 says:

Mine turned kind of watery, but I think I used too much ice. Next time I’ll chill the glasses instead of adding extra cubes.

    1. 5 stars
That makes sense—too much ice can water it down for sure. I also started chilling the glasses and it keeps the texture more “syrupy” instead of watery. Great tip!

    2. 3 stars
I dunno… I usually add extra ice to make it colder and it turns out fine. Maybe your watermelon was extra juicy? Try using less ice and more mint? Also lemon wedges with watermelon is weird to me, but hey.

I made this for brunch and everyone kept asking what was in it. The mint + watermelon combo is legit. I added just a tiny bit of sugar and it was spot on.

My kids loved this. I used extra mint and crushed it a bit before blending. It came out smoother than I expected.

    1. 5 stars
So glad your kids loved it! Extra mint is the way to go—did you blend with the lemon wedges too or just garnish at the end?

    2. 3 stars
Sounds nice but I’m not sure about the lemon wedge garnish… watermelon is sweet already. I might skip sugar and mint a lot less—mint can get weird fast, lol.

  6. User avatar Mrs. Tawanda Herman says:

This sounds so refreshing—watermelon + mint is a classic win. I added a tiny pinch of salt instead of sugar and it tasted even more “bright.” Lemon garnish is such a nice touch!

  7. 2 stars
I don’t get the hype. Watermelon drinks are all basically the same… but this one is at least colder.

    1. 4 stars
Honestly I feel you—most watermelon drinks are pretty much “blend + water.” 😅 But the mint really makes it taste fresher, and the lemon garnish helps too. Cold definitely counts!

I don’t like mint, what can I use instead? Maybe basil?

  9. 5 stars
5 stars. This is like a spa drink. The flavor is clean and light, and it’s basically impossible to mess up.

    1. User avatar Terrance Ebert says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—super refreshing and it does feel like a little spa moment. The mint really makes it clean and light.

    2. User avatar NAFO.SUPREMACY says:

      4 stars
I tried it but mine tasted kinda watery… maybe my watermelon wasn’t sweet enough? Still pretty good though, and the mint helps a lot.

  10. User avatar josie.boyle85 says:

    2 stars
Way too sweet for me. I used the 1 tbsp sugar optional and it was still fine, but if your watermelon is already sweet you might skip it entirely.

  11. User avatar ivette.sawayn1983 says:

    4 stars
Easy and tasty. My kids enjoyed it! Can I use frozen watermelon?

  12. 4 stars
Why would you put mint in watermelon like—does it even go? lol. I tried it and now I’m kinda converted.

  13. User avatar laverne.jaskolski72 says:

Mine turned watery fast—maybe I used too much ice. Next time I’ll add less ice cubes or blend with less water/ice? Good idea, just needs tweaks.

  14. 1 star
I don’t see the point of mint in a drink. Just watermelon is fine. Not for me.

  15. User avatar jeff.sawayn49 says:

OMG this is my new favorite drink!!! I even added a splash of rum 😉

So refreshing! I used fresh mint and didn’t add sugar since my watermelon was sweet—perfect on a hot day. The lemon wedge at the end really brightened it up.

    1. 2 stars
Watermelon? Mint? That’s just odd. I stick to my plain ol’ lemonade.

    2. User avatar bruno.mccullough37 says:

      5 stars
I was skeptical too, but this combo is actually refreshing! Perfect for summer.

  26. 4 stars
Easy to make and it looks super pretty in the glass. I used frozen watermelon though, and it came out a little more slushy than “smooth,” but still delicious.

  27. User avatar Sand-Dial says:

This recipe is so simple. Even my kids helped make it! A hit in our family. 😊

  28. User avatar kraig.kassulke says:

Watermelons are overrated. This drink ain’t that special. Just my opinion.

  29. User avatar louisa.konopelski1959 says:

    1 star
Y’all? How can you drink this? It’s like a smoothie for kids. 🤔

  30. 3 stars
The instructions are straightforward, but 4 cups watermelon seems like a lot—my blender struggled with that much ice + fruit together.

    1. User avatar eustolia.schimmel says:

      5 stars
Yeah, 4 cups watermelon is a lot—my blender would definitely complain too. I usually pulse in smaller batches or blend the watermelon first, then add ice a bit at a time. This still comes out super smooth that way.

  31. User avatar mohamed.heidenreich says:

    5 stars
Made it for guests and everyone asked for the recipe. The texture was really smooth after blending. I did use a bit of sugar though, because my watermelon was kind of bland.

  32. 3 stars
I blended it and it turned kinda watery even with the ice. Maybe my watermelon was too juicy? Still refreshing though.

  33. User avatar oPandariaNo says:

    3 stars
Can you use frozen watermelon instead? Mine were too ripe and I was scared to use them.

    1. User avatar Loonquawl says:

      4 stars
Yeah, frozen watermelon should work fine! Just be sure to blend it well since it might be a bit icy. I’m sure it’ll taste great!

  34. User avatar karl.rohan80 says:

Mint is overpowering if you’re not careful. I added more mint than the recipe once and it tasted like toothpaste a bit 😅. Follow the measurements and it’ll be fine.

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree—mint can go from refreshing to toothpaste real fast 😅 I usually start with half the mint and taste as I go.

  35. User avatar ALTplusF4 says:

    5 stars
I added a squeeze of lemon into the blender instead of just garnish and wow, it brightened everything. Would definitely make again.

  36. User avatar augustus.schultz says:

    4 stars
So simple, yet delicious! I added a splash of soda for some fizz. Yum!

  37. User avatar krysten.abbott76 says:

    2 stars
I tried this recipe but it didn’t turn out as I thought. The mint was too strong for me.

    1. 4 stars
I get that! Mint can be really overpowering sometimes. Maybe try using less next time?

  38. User avatar bruno.halvorson6 says:

    2 stars
Wasn’t impressed. It just tasted like blended watermelon, nothing special.

  39. User avatar darleen.stroman says:

    5 stars
Refreshing and light! I love it! 🍉💖

  40. User avatar anibal.rice53 says:

    3 stars
Why would you add sugar? Watermelon is already sweet! I’m gonna make it without.
