2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


1.Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2.In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3.Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingertips, until it resembles coarse crumbs.
4.Add the chopped strawberries and chocolate chips to the flour mixture, tossing to combine.
5.In a separate small bowl, mix together the milk and vanilla extract. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.
6.Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.
7.Shape the dough into a circle about 1-inch thick. Cut the circle into 8 wedges.
8.Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
9.Allow the scones to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
