Spinach and Strawberry Salad

July 10, 2025

Sometimes the best salads are the simplest ones, and spinach and strawberry salad is a perfect example. This fresh, colorful dish combines tender baby spinach with juicy, sweet strawberries for a refreshing blend of flavors and textures that work in perfect harmony. It’s light, healthy, and just fancy enough to impress without trying too hard.

The magic of this salad is in the contrast. The earthiness of spinach pairs beautifully with the bright, slightly tart sweetness of strawberries. Toss in some crumbled feta or goat cheese for a creamy, tangy note, and sprinkle on a handful of toasted nuts, like almonds, walnuts, or pecans, for a satisfying crunch. The combination is vibrant, both in taste and appearance.

A light vinaigrette ties everything together. Something with a touch of acidity, like balsamic vinegar or lemon juice, enhances the strawberries and brings out the natural flavor of the spinach. Add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, and you’ve got a dressing that’s perfectly balanced and totally addictive.

Spinach and strawberry salad is incredibly versatile. It works as a starter for a spring or summer meal, a light lunch on its own, or even as a side dish at a barbecue or picnic. You can bulk it up with grilled chicken or quinoa if you want something more filling, or keep it simple for a clean, refreshing bite.

What makes this salad so appealing is how fresh it feels. It’s not weighed down by heavy dressings or too many ingredients. It celebrates seasonal produce and delivers big on flavor with just a few thoughtful additions. And thanks to its beautiful color palette, it looks as good as it tastes.

I don’t get why people put fruit in salad. Seems weird. Just lettuce is fine for me.

Pretty good, but I think it needs some bacon for flavor. Maybe a little crispy chicken too.

I tried it, but I’m not a fan of feta. Maybe use cheddar instead? Also, more honey please! ⭐⭐⭐

Cheddar in a salad??? That’s weird, lol. But if you don’t like feta, putting cheddar might work. Just not in my book! 🤷‍♂️

I get what you mean! Feta can be a bit strong for some. Cheddar would definitely change the flavor profile, but hey, if you like it then go for it! And more honey sounds sweet! 🍯
