Not bad, but cutting triangles out of crescent dough felt weird. Mine kind of tore when I rolled them. Probably user error, but I’ll try puff pastry next time.

I don’t know, they were kinda dry. Maybe need more seasoning?

I agree! They can be a bit bland without enough seasoning. Try adding some garlic powder or paprika next time!

Mine browned fast at 12 minutes, so watch them closely. The taste was great though—crispy outside, juicy inside. Wouldn’t change much.

Thanks for the heads-up! I’ve had mine go from pale to burnt in like 10 minutes before. 12 sounds about right—now I’ll start checking early.

Hmm mine didn’t brown at 12… I think my oven runs cold. I just baked longer till it looked golden. Tasted good but the pastry got kinda dry, maybe I overdid it.

I tried using only puff pastry sheets and cut triangles—kinda messy but fun. Not super hard. Also parchment paper saved cleanup, 10/10 for that.

375°F seems fine but I swear my oven runs hotter. I ended up baking closer to 10-11 minutes and it saved them from getting too dark.

I dunno, I think the puff pastry takes too long. I prefer the store-bought stuff, lol.

I get that! Store-bought is super convenient. But there’s just something about homemade that hits different. 🙃

Are the sausages really necessary?? Can’t I just put cheese inside?

I made these using hotdogs from a can, not sure if that’s right but they were still ok??

    1. 4 stars
Hotdogs from a can? That’s different! But I’m glad they turned out okay for you!

  15. 4 stars
Yummy! But can I make em with cheese? That would be awesome!

    1. User avatar reuben.rohan says:

      5 stars
Yes! You can totally add cheese! Just put a piece inside the triangle with the sausage before rolling it up. It’s gonna be so cheesy and delicious!

Puff pastry is overrated! Use crescent rolls instead, way better!

    1. User avatar Tom Bombadil says:

I think puff pastry has its own unique flakiness that makes it special! But I guess if you like crescent rolls, go for it.

    2. 3 stars
Crescent rolls? Really? Just doesn’t taste the same, but to each their own. 🤷‍♂️
