200g pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
400g canned tomato sauce
150ml heavy cream
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil and parmesan for garnish


1.Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2.In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3.Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
4.Pour in the canned tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5.Stir in the heavy cream and dried basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6.Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
7.Serve the creamy tomato pasta garnished with fresh basil leaves.
