Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can Tomatoes crushed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • basil for garnish, fresh

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Serve the creamy tomato pasta hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
