Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder sifted
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Christmas M&Ms red and green

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar until well combined.
  • Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in half of the Christmas M&Ms, then pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the remaining M&Ms on top of the batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the baking dish before cutting into squares and serving.

I followed the recipe but my brownies ended up really dry. Maybe my oven is too hot? I don’t know but I was disappointed. 🙁

Maybe you put in too much flour? It can happen! Just follow the measurements precisely. And yeah, ovens can be tricky sometimes! Good luck next time!

I think your oven might be the issue, but you could also try reducing the baking time a bit. Brownies should be fudgy, not dry! Don’t lose hope; you can nail it next time! 😊

These brownies are the best! Super fudgy and that chocolatey goodness is to die for. My whole family loved them, especially the kids with the M&Ms!

I think these brownies would be good with nuts too. Just saying! Don’t hate me, but the M&Ms seem unnecessary. Just stick with plain chocolate!
