Greek-style baked tilapia with Mediterranean salsa is the perfect dish when you’re craving a fresh, vibrant, and healthy meal that doesn’t compromise on flavor. This dish combines the delicate, flaky texture of tilapia with a bright, zesty salsa inspired by the Mediterranean’s best ingredients. It’s light, satisfying, and filled with wholesome flavors that make it ideal for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
The tilapia is simply seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and dried herbs like oregano, which are staples in Greek cuisine. The fish is then baked until perfectly tender and flaky, absorbing all the aromatic goodness from the seasoning. It’s the kind of dish that lets the natural flavors of the fish shine, without needing too many complicated ingredients.
What truly sets this dish apart is the Mediterranean salsa, which is both refreshing and full of texture. Made with diced tomatoes, cucumber, Kalamata olives, red onion, and fresh herbs like parsley and dill, the salsa is light yet packed with flavor. A drizzle of olive oil and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice ties everything together, creating a vibrant topping that complements the tilapia perfectly.
The combination of the warm, baked fish and the cool, crisp salsa creates an irresistible contrast. The olives add a briny richness that balances the sweetness of the tomatoes, while the cucumbers provide a refreshing crunch. Fresh herbs and lemon bring brightness, making each bite feel like a taste of the Mediterranean.
This dish is as healthy as it is delicious, with lean protein from the tilapia and a medley of fresh vegetables in the salsa. Serve it with a side of quinoa, couscous, or a green salad for a complete, balanced meal that feels both indulgent and nourishing. Greek-style baked tilapia with Mediterranean salsa is a wonderful way to enjoy light, healthy seafood with bold, Mediterranean flavors. It’s simple, quick, and guaranteed to be a hit at the dinner table.

- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1 Lemon juiced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
- 1/2 cup cucumber diced
- 1/4 cup red onion diced
- 1/4 cup Kalamata olives pitted and halved
- 2 tbsp parsley chopped, fresh
- 1 tbsp dill chopped, fresh

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

- Place the tilapia fillets in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fillets are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.

- Once the tilapia has marinated, place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve the baked tilapia topped with the Mediterranean salsa. Enjoy!
This recipe is amazing! I love how fresh it tastes. My family enjoyed it too!
Simple and delicious! Perfect for a quick dinner. Thank you!
Super easy to make! My family loved it. Will make again!
That’s awesome! I love when something is both easy and delicious. What did your family like most about it?
Really? It looks simple, but I wonder if the tilapia has enough flavor. I’ve tried other fish dishes that were bland. 😕
I love Greek food! This dish is now a weekly staple for me. 🤤
This was delicious! The fish turned out so flaky and the salsa was fresh. Definitely making this again!
Total failure! I overcooked the fish and it was like rubber. Anyone got tips?
How do you bake fish? Isn’t it better to fry it? But I tried this and it wasn’t too bad!
Ugh, too much lemon!!! It was like biting into a citrus bomb. Never again! 🙁
Maybe you used too much lemon juice? You can tone it down next time! I love this recipe.
This is sooo good! The salsa adds the perfect touch. Definitely a keeper!
Totally agree! The salsa is what makes it pop! I also added some feta cheese on top. Yum!
This recipe is delicious! The salsa really adds flavor!
I tried this with lemon pepper instead of oregano. It turned out good! 😋
This was super easy! My kids actually ate it without complaint. Will make again!
I don’t know about tilapia… Isn’t it a bit bland? I used salmon instead.
Yum! Simple and easy. I added some feta cheese on top for extra flavor! 😋
I was skeptical but wow! Fish tastes so fresh and yum!
I don’t know, maybe I did something wrong? The tilapia came out kinda dry.
Maybe try cooking it a bit less next time? Fish can get dry if overcooked.
YUMMM! I can’t believe how fresh this tastes! Love the lemony zing. 🍋
Not bad, but I think tilapia is kinda bland. Maybe try salmon instead?
Made it for my family last night. Simple and delicious but I added more garlic.
Yay fish! I don’t like the olives tho. But recipe easy to follow. Thanks!
This is the best tilapia recipe I’ve ever tried! Perfectly zesty and fresh! 😍
I wanted to like it more, but something tasted off to me. Maybe it was the olives?
Delicious!! But I used frozen tilapia… still worked great!
Nice and healthy. I used tilapia’s cousin, the flounder, because that’s what I had. Good!
I don’t know why you need olives in everything, it’s too salty! Next time, I’m leaving them out.
I forgot to buy dill and used thyme instead. Hope it’s still good!
I don’t know if thyme works for fish. Dill is really different from thyme, like, what were you thinking?
Thyme is a great substitute! I’m sure it’ll still taste amazing. Can’t wait to try it myself!
What if I don’t have dill? Can I use something else?
How do I know if tilapia is fresh? I’m new to cooking and scared of fish!
I tried to make this, but the tilapia turned out dry. Maybe I cooked it too long? The salsa was delicious though.
Dry tilapia? Isn’t it always dry? I never liked fish anyway, I prefer chicken. But hey, salsa sounds good!
It’s easy to overcook fish! Maybe try checking it a few minutes earlier next time. Glad you liked the salsa!
Fish. Salsa. Good combo.
This was SO good! My family loved it, especially the salsa. Will make again!
I’m glad to hear you loved it! The salsa really does add a great touch. Did you make any changes to the recipe?
It was ok. The salsa was a little too tangy for my taste. Maybe less vinegar?
I guess everyone has different tastes! Maybe you could try adding some sugar to the salsa to balance it out? Just a thought!
I think tilapia is kinda bland.. maybe try salmon? that’s better.
Liek this is so good! My kids even ate it with no fuss! Thanks!
Um, isn’t tilapia kinda unhealthy? I heard somethin’ about it!
How can y’all eat fish? Eww! I made it with chicken instead.
Is it really Mediterranean if it has garlic? I thought that was Italian.
Ehh. Fish is fish. Not my favorite dish, sorry.
Okay but how is fish baked in a 400F oven supposed to be healthy? Seems fishy lol
Greek style? This is just tilapia! Where’s the feta or something? I don’t know if it even tastes good without it.
Fish in the oven? Sounds weird. But I gave it a shot. Kinda good, I guess.
I didn’t have dill or red wine vinegar, so I left them out. It still turned out OK, but not great.
Sounds like a good effort! Sometimes you gotta improvise, right? Glad it turned out okay!
Quick and easy for a weeknight! Will make again for sure!
Didn’t have olives so I left them out. Still tasty! Add some more herbs tho.
Glad you still enjoyed it! Herbs really do make a difference, right? 🌿
Sounds fancy, but I don’t know about those olives. Can’t stand them!
just fish on plate 😕 , not much of a meal. i like my dinner hearty.
Baked it twice now, can’t wait for the third, this is a keeper!
That’s awesome! I love when a recipe becomes a staple! Have you tried it with different fish? 🤔
Glad you liked it! But I think 12-15 mins is too quick, I usually bake mine longer to avoid raw fish. Be careful!
Tasty and healthy! Love the Mediterranean flavors! I added some feta on top!!
I wanted more sauce! It was kinda dry for my liking. Needs more olive oil!
I burnt my fish! 😭 Followed the recipe but wasn’t watchin’.
Never tried tilapia before, but now I think I like it! 👌
Just roasted some veggies and put them on the side… Perfect combo!
This was a hit! The salsa really made it pop! 😊
So glad you loved it! The salsa really does make anything better! 😊
I dunno, the salsa sounds kinda weird. Is mixing all that really good? 😕
Easy to make, but I didn’t have olives and used capers instead. Still yum!
Capers are a great substitute! Glad you enjoyed it.
Too much stuff in the salsa. Cucumber doesn’t belong in none of it, not for me!
