Ingredients
  

  • 4 pounds prime rib roast bone-in
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon salt to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic minced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • Season the prime rib roast generously with salt, covering all sides.
  • Mix together the black pepper, grated Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic in a bowl.
  • Rub the pepper, Parmesan, and garlic mixture all over the roast, pressing it into the meat.
  • Place the seasoned roast in a roasting pan and put it in the preheated oven.
  • Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C).
  • Continue to cook for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  • Remove the roast from the oven, tent with foil, and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
