A quick, hearty one-pan Cajun Cabbage Skillet made with tender cabbage, smoky sausage, onions, garlic, and bold Cajun seasoning. It's savory, comforting, and easy enough for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium head green cabbage cored and sliced
  • 14 oz smoked sausage sliced into rounds
  • 1 large yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter optional, for richness
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Add the onion and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened.
  • Stir in the garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the sliced cabbage and chicken broth. Toss well to coat, then cover and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage begins to soften.
  • Uncover and continue cooking for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often, until the cabbage is tender and most of the liquid has evaporated.
  • Stir in the butter if using, taste, and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
