Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté until the onion is soft.
Stir in the cumin, paprika, and beef broth. Simmer until the liquid is reduced.
Let the beef mixture cool slightly. Roll out the empanada dough and cut into circles.
Place a spoonful of beef filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over and seal the edges with a fork.
Brush each empanada with the beaten egg wash.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
