These delicious Beef Empanadas are made with a savory beef filling encased in flaky pastry, perfect for a snack or meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams ground beef lean
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin ground
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth low sodium
  • 1 package empanada dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 egg egg wash beaten

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté until the onion is soft.
  • Stir in the cumin, paprika, and beef broth. Simmer until the liquid is reduced.
  • Let the beef mixture cool slightly. Roll out the empanada dough and cut into circles.
  • Place a spoonful of beef filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over and seal the edges with a fork.
  • Brush each empanada with the beaten egg wash.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your homemade Beef Empanadas.
