Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs.
Rub the garlic-herb mixture all over the prime rib roast.
Place the roast bone-side down in a roasting pan.
Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting for about 1 hour and 15 minutes for medium rare.
Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
