Ingredients
  

  • 1 prime rib roast (bone-in) about 4-5 pounds
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon herbs such as rosemary or thyme, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  • Rub the garlic-herb mixture all over the prime rib roast.
  • Place the roast bone-side down in a roasting pan.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting for about 1 hour and 15 minutes for medium rare.
  • Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
