Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Unroll the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim and crimp the edges.
In a large bowl, combine the sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
Stir in the melted butter and pecan halves.
Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving.
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
