Ingredients

  • 1 whole spiral-cut ham about 8-10 pounds
  • 1 cup orange juice freshly squeezed preferred
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest freshly grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and place the ham in a roasting pan.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the orange juice, brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, orange zest, and ground cloves.
  • Cook the glaze mixture until the sugar dissolves and it becomes slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Brush half of the glaze over the ham, making sure to cover it evenly.
  • Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until heated through, basting occasionally with the remaining glaze.
  • Remove the foil during the last 15 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  • Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
