Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups strawberries fresh, hulled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 1 cup milk full-fat recommended

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, mash the strawberries with the sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes, allowing the strawberries to release their juices.
  • In a large bowl, combine the strawberry mixture with heavy cream and milk.
  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
