Crispy baked chickpeas are a delicious and healthy snack that can be easily made at home. They are perfect for on-the-go snacking or as a crunchy topping for salads.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread the drained and rinsed chickpeas onto a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and pat them dry. Removing excess moisture is key to getting them crispy.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
  • Spread the chickpeas out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, stirring once or twice during baking, until chickpeas are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from oven and let cool completely. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
  • Enjoy as a snack or use as a topping for salads or soups.
