Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Spread the drained and rinsed chickpeas onto a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and pat them dry. Removing excess moisture is key to getting them crispy.
In a mixing bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
Spread the chickpeas out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, stirring once or twice during baking, until chickpeas are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from oven and let cool completely. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
